Happy Thanksgiving to all of you fellow snowbirds. Our trips are getting closer and closer. In just a few days we will be able to say they are "next month"!

Well did anyone else go to the Disney Store at midnigt for the sale.....

I braved it and hit the Disney Jackpot for my list.....Kids Character tees were only $5 each so this was a great way to stock on t-shirts for the upcoming trip.

As I entered, I immediatly went straight for the Snow White Cottage playset. Glad I did, only one left in the store and it was $30.00 off. Got the Barbie size Snow White doll and dwarfs to go with it. Hit the girl's shirts table and picked up 6, stopped at Kids Fleece table and got a sweatshirt for the cold nights in the park at $10.00. Mini beanies were $5, got the Phineas, Ferb and Perry set. Looked around, nothing much else I really needed, (I mean we are going to WDW in less then 2 months). Headed to the register and the extra special was an additional 20% off everything. Cha ching! Spend less $$ then the intentions I had going into the store. Wonderful Disney day!

YAY I Disney Deals!

I went to one of our local department store in a search for long underwear for my girls and found 2 long sleeved shirts for DD6! I got her a purple Tink one and a pink princess one! They were $4.97 each! I kept looking at the tags (and checked several others as well) cause I couldn't believe they were so inexpensive! Go figure! I couldn't find any in DD8's size so I may have to try online for those! Oh well, can't get everything I suppose!

We do have a Disney store near us but it's about 20 minutes away and DH and I had been in there on Veteran's Day. We didn't see anything we couldn't live without. My girls still love Disney, but haven't yet outgrown the shirts we bought for our last trip!

I am trying to get some planning done and I was hoping that some of you Vets could help me. I would like to visit some of the resorts this trip, and I was hoping that you all could tell me your 5 must see resorts, and what makes them so special, so we don't miss the reasons to visit them!!

We have been to the POFQ for Beniegts.(plan on going back to this one)

Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue Dinner Show at Fort Wilderness

Been for a ride on the Monorail through Contemporary, and past the Poly, and the Grand Floridian.

We will be going to the Poly for the Spirit of Aloha dinner show, so I hope to incorporate that with a tour of the Resort.I figured we would go early since the show isn't until 8pm.

I can't wait to hear about your Favorites and what we should do at each of them!!

We're going to POFQ for the beniegts too!

My choices for the Resort tour:
Poly would be great the lobby is beautiful with the waterfalls.
AKL is beautiful as well. You can also walk out in to the Savannah at the back of the lobby. I also enjoy the gift shop, very unique items.
BW is great because of the boardwalk. I would recommend going in the evening to enjoy the lights and entertainment. (and yuo can walk to Epcot or vice versa)
Contemporary has the awesome mural with the 5 legged goat.
Grand Floridian is so elegant. and the white beaches are beautiful.

I really haven't been to any others...

Luckily he doesn't check the mail often but still. And, does it matter if I am not on a package right now? (I may upgrade to the DDP) I am leaving on Jan. 14th.

I believe it is 45 day's??? Hmmm or is that the tickets. If so you are at the 47 day mark. I know becuase we are at the 49 day mark.

Yes, it is! Maybe I should change my ticker since I always have to figure out the days. LOL! I remember last year, we left right after Xmas. My final payment was due 45 days before and the tix came shortly after. I'm not sure how it works with room only packages. Guess I'll just have to race to the mailbox everyday!

Approx how long before the trip do the ME tix come? I can't remember from last year. Since this trip is a surprise, I want to try to keep an eye out. Ours came 38 days out. We do not have a package either. If ours is typical, by my calculations yours should arrive around December 7th. Good luck keeping it a secret!

Thank you Janed! I will try to make sure I get home first on most days for the next couple of weeks! LOL! Like I said, he doesn't check the mail (not sure why but I'm grateful!) but with my luck the one day he does, they'll come. Last year they came in a large envelope with the luggage tags, etc. Since you get the tags on a package, I don't know if the envelope will be smaller. Was yours?
It's been SO hard keeping this a secret! Twice now I've gotten letters and postcard thingys saying something like "for your upcoming trip..." on the front! It'll be a miracle if I can pull this off for his xmas gift. Little does he know that I'm telling people to give us Disney gift cards for xmas gift ideas so we'll have some help with spending money. Hope he doesn't feel jipped if he doesn't get much else! LOL!
