January 2009

:banana:Animator's Palette looks so fun! (although the food not grabbing me) BUT I had to comment on the fantastic matching outfit to setting in this particular update! BRAVO!

love the update! Do lots of people dress in black and white there? Too bad you don't have a color-changing outfit!

Ok time to step in with some more of the DCL facts I have thrown in to your TR form time to time. Animators Palate is the most expensive restaurant that was built on either ship and is also the smallest, and the only restaurant on the ship that does not have windows in the dinning room.

Also do they have sorcerer mickey come out during the show portion of dinner?

Ooh the Artist's palet looks amazing! :) Amazing pictures, I would love to see them all come into colour!
And yer I'm finishin my first year at uni, it's gone by so quickly! This time last year I was about to do my exams to get into uni and I was getting mega excited about going to WDW, this year I'm doing my first year uni exams and I'm getting mega excited about helping on a kids camp in CT for 2 and a half months! :) First years been alright though, hectic and I'm not fond of these things they call exams (:rotfl:) but it's been really fun... how's your second year been?

Great update, Emma! :thumbsup2 I'd recently read abotu Animator's Palate and I was SOO intrigued. I'm so glad that I got to "experience it" vicariously through you! ;) It looks like an amazing restaurant. And your outfit was super cute, by the way. Love the top.

You can tell Portho's that he gets the Shopaholic Stamp of Approval for that shirt!:thumbsup2

I loved Animator's Pallette, too! Your dessert and soup look yummy.

Atlantis, you say? BRING IT ON!!!!

Well, it's too bad that "Who Wants to be a Mousketeer?" was kind of a bomb... but your dinner at Animator's Palate sure made up for it!

How fun that even the boys went along with the B&W clothing scheme... your outfit was very cute!

What a fabulous idea for a restaurant theme... kudos to the Imagineers!!

I'm so glad you're posting more... I guess you're all done with exams, huh?! Hooray!! :woohoo:

Animator's Palette looks amazing! I've never seen anything like it before! Love your outfit too! :goodvibes

Animator's Palette looks sooo cool and the "paintings" on the walls are so neat how the change and come to life so to speak. What a neat place!! Love the black and white oufit, the top is adorable!!!:lovestruc And I have to know, how was the butternut squash soup? My DH and I ate at Narcossee's on our honeymoon and had that then....we fell in love with it and I was SO excited to see you had it on your cruise, we haven't been able to find another one like it since then (and that was in 2000!!). YUM!!popcorn:: Looking forward to hearing more....as always......lol!!:rotfl:

Loving your TR - although it's making me lime-green with envy! I'm hoping we can take DD on DCL as a graduation present in a couple of years.

I like your black and white outfits for dinner - very cool!

Emma - what a fantastic job you are doing on this trip report!!!:lovestruc I have only peripheral knowledge of DCL. I have only read 2 cruise reports, which were fantastic, but your photo documentation is second to none!!!:worship:

Thank you so much for the detailed reports...I almost feel like I have actually gone as far as Day 1 on a cruise now thanks to your report - ha, ha!

Your Ariel countdown calendar is absolutely amazing!!! And so appropriate for a cruise. I may have to enlist you in helping me to make one for my daughter when we finally do our 1st cruise next year - Ariel is (of course) her favourite princess!:goodvibes

Your comments about the cruisers on the Norweigan likely feeling green with envy towards all the Disney cruisers when your ship whistle started the "When You Wish Upon A Star" tune really struck home. We have never cruised before (unless you count a 1 day excursion cruise out of Miami about 15-20 years ago, which I don't!;)) and I could not imagine how glum I would be feeling to be on any other cruiseline when the Wonder or Magic sailed by!

Hearing all about the little extra "Disney" touches on this ship has really cinched it for me - I am definitely cruisin' with Disney soon! In fact, I think I will be signing up for the podcast cruise in 2010!!!:goodvibes

I am so excited to see firsthand all of these new Disney experiences!!! Thanks so much for sharing and look forward to more!!!:goodvibes

Tap tap tapping my foot..... Finals must be over by now. I've been as patient as I can be! MORE EMMA PLEASE I WANT SOME MORE.

Glad to hear you had a nice time with your cousin!!! :goodvibesWe're here when you have the time....no hurry, in my book, the longer you drag this out, the better, I love your TR's and hate when they have to end!! Especially when there isn't another trip brewing (that we know of.....;))!!
