Online Check-in to debut in January?
This interesting blurb ran across the news/rumor desk today..

Disney’s Online Check-In service enables Guests to simplify their arrival by allowing them to go online and provide information related to their upcoming stay. On a Guest’s scheduled arrival date, since check-in information will have been provided previously online by the Guest, they may experience a streamlined check-in at select Walt Disney World® Resort hotels or Disney Vacation Club resorts. A welcome folder with their Key to the World Card will be waiting at a designated Disney’s Online Check-In area in the resort hotel lobby. Guests will need to present valid photo ID to pick up the folder and complete check-in. Guests may check-in online beginning 10 days prior to their arrival date. Web site addresses for Disney’s Online Check-In service will vary based on the original method of booking. As Guests are completing Disney’s Online Check-In service, select Guests will have an opportunity to apply for the Disney Rewards® Visa Card® that could be used during their stay. This service launches in January, 2009.

I'm also very excited about this news!! I'm going to check in a few days before especially since I'll be arriving early in the day and would love to just be able to get my room and put my stuff away....Great stuff!!

Thanks for the info...I looked at the Adara ones but I actually prefer the between the toes, so I went ahead and ordered the Athens, and I ordered a pr of Teva Mush. Dicks Sporting Goods had them at $20 each and free shipping, so I'll give them a try! It's free return shipping, too if I hate them!

I'd do the Mammoth if I knew I'd be in jeans all week, but if I'm in capris, I can't do clogs, I need flips! In fact I'd do flip flops with anything, as long as its not freezing!!

I got the athens about 2 years ago-have worn them for Disney twice!! great shoes. Got the Mammoth last year--they are great too!! I wore them to Disney last January-on our cooler days, the other days were Athens-days!

We had to take out little Tinkerbelle to the ER last night. She was running such a high fever that she started babbling and acting very strange. It turned out she had a reaction to her cold medicine. We got home at 5 am and slept until noon. Belle is still asleep. Poor little girl!

I'm with you Soleil - can't wait for the snow. Glad your little princess is better. We've spent many a night in the ER with our little prince for croup. It's not fun when they're sick.

Well, we just got done decorating the Christmass tree about an hour ago.

We decorated this weekend, too. It's a first for us - we usually wait until after Thanksgiving to decorate, but our schedules just wouldn't allow it this year. So Igave in and the decorations are up. Of course, we agreed to not turn them on until next weekend....that didn't work!

Just got done making the baked potato soup and now let all the flavors simmer together...this is by far my favorite soup ever LOL!!!

Hope everyone is having a good weekend. We went shopping and out to dinner last night. We went to O'Charley's. That was the first time we had been there. Does anyone else have one? We thought it was just okay. I wish we would have stuck to our favorite - Max & Erma's. Do you guys have those near you? Love their food!

We have O'Charleys and Max & Erma's. I've only been to O'Charleys once. If I can remember, it was okay. I've been to Max & Erma's a couple of times. It was okay, too.

Today we spent the afternoon making Shrinky Dinks! We did some earrings for me and some ornament gifts for the grandparents and a Christmas tree necklace for each of the kids. It was FUN! And I've got some funky, fun, and mildly obnoxious holiday earrings!

I know this info is on other boards, but you all are so much nicer and knowledgable. I'm looking for shoes other than my tennis shoes to tour in. I like my Nike Celso flip flops, and I've heard others rave about Crocs Athens and Teva Mush. Have you guys had any experience with these? Last year my Adidas that were VERY broken in gave me blisters so I was walking thru Epcot in my socks!

Love my crocs! I have the black/red Mickey ones that I wear at Disney. I actually alternate between those and a pair of tennies - the trip was SO much more enjoyable last year. I also have a pair of the Mammoths that I just love and practically live in during the winter. In the summer, I wear the "Patra" sandals - they're not as "clunky". LOVE them!

Hey everybody! Remember me? I'm Trixie, the one who hadn't done ANY Christmas shopping yet? Well, good news! I bought ONE gift the other day!

(insert whiney voice here): I'm still not used to this time change thing! We left a bday party at 3:30 and it was already kinda dreary and dark-ish...Now that its 745, I feel it should be about 10. I'm ready for bed!! Too bad I still have a ton of laundry to do so we'll have clothes this week!

I'm with ya! At 5:00, I'm thinking it should be bedtime! Although, I have noticed it's easier to get DS5 to bed!!

Good morning all! I have quite the day ahead of me. I have to do some grocery shopping, find an outfit for the World's Largest Disco (it's this Sat, but I have to bring my outfit to practice tomorrow night!), clean the house, do some ....If I could breathe a little better, it would sure make my day more fun. GOOOOD Morning Snowbirdies!! Happy Monday!!!! The Last Monday of November...for many of you, your little tickers should be quite a bit closer now!!! Well, we had a very busy weekend.Now, I have got to get those kids burning through this school work!! We only have 1/2 a week and we are finished!! I plan to get my grocery shopping done today and pack that fridge!!! My stepdad and my uncle are bringing the desserts from 2 glorious bakeries for me and my mamma makes the dressing I am doing the rest, but I PLAN to start tomorrow, chopping and slicing!! Get some of that finished. Well, we are going to be busy little beavers this week-I know lots of you have school parties-so enjoy that,I hope everyones week is full of blessings. We have lots to be thankful for and lets all remember that God has truly blessed us all!!!! Talk to ya'll later....gotta run!!!

I wish I had found some better news but.... I was over at the Mickey's Mom's Panel and one of the Panel Members was asked about the P&PP, she replied:

"We have been told that the Pirate and Princess Parties that had previously been scheduled for the first half of 2009 have now been canceled. If you have already purchased tickets to this event, you should call Disney at 407-W-DISNEY to inquire about refunds."

I guess that makes it official.

Well Happy Monday!! Only two days of school and then I go on a massive Christmas card making run on Wednesday and then Thanksgiving. Tonight we have our annual Thanksgiving Banquet at church and I still need to make my fruit salad, but the rolls are done...thanks to Sara Lee!!

My morning started a little grumpy with a couple of email notices from my bank that someone was trying to access our online account last night while dh and I were sleeping peacefully- and yes I was dreaming of Disney Crocs! If they only knew how little $$$ was in there ! So I just finished changing passwords and ID's and pulling up my credit reports and all of that fun stuff. I just don't understand how some people go so wrong in life . It's really sad that someone would want to take what little we have and not even think twice.

Hello everyone! I hope that you've all had a great weekend. My girls night last night was fun. We didn't watch our movie, but that was ok. We played Catch Phrase for hours and hours. I haven't laughed that much in a long time! Then, it was off to Syracuse today to celebrate my great aunt's 85th birthday. It was nice to see my relatives. Everyone pitched in and bought my great aunt a Wii! She loves to play Wii bowling! Isn't that awesome? Anyways...I'm just catching up with everyone right now and lounging. I have one crazy week ahead of me!!!!

Now I'm wishing I lived in Minnesota! I wonder if I have an outlet near me somewhere?

Well at least you got it early and was able to put a stop to it!! I'm very paranoid about people getting ahold to of my information. I have fraud alerts on all my things and I make sure that if anyone tries to take out a line of credit in my name that the banks contact me first.
