Haven't done Nemo, but FOTLK is amazing! I'm a big theater fan (saw LK on Broadway twice), and I was blown away by the dance, the costuming, the puppetry at AK. I am determined to see Nemo this time (it wasn't there yet last time we went)!

Awesome! Thanks for this. We saw LK in Toronto (of all places... but it's the same distance as Chicago and, at the time, cheaper*) and I thought it was AMAZING. I've been wondering how FOTLK holds up in comparison and if it was worth it, after seeing the broadway version.

*the real humor is that when we got to Toronto for that trip, and we were touring all over, we immediately discovered that the middle school we lived closest to (in our apartment) was doing a class trip there, as well. CN Tower? Yup, there they were. Casa Loma? You betcha! Lion King? Yeah, in the same section, some in the same row. I COULD NOT ESCAPE ANN ARBOR.

Good afternoon everyone. I'm back from work and I really should have called in sick today. I woke up with THE worst sore throat ever. I could hardly swallow! I just ate a bowl of condensed soup (not my fav), but my DH said he would make his all-curing homemade chicken noodle soup for me tonight. He's just the greatest!:lovestruc Time for me to get some rest so I can go dance tonight!

Awww! I hope you and crazyred both feel better soon!!!

I'm mending... today I was only really really tired. Yesterday it was really really tired and very sore. Definite progress! OF course, tomorrow is a girl's night out and I hope I can handle it. I'd asked for a half-day vacation since one of the girl's is driving in from Chicago and I wanted to take the time off if she got in early enough... well, she's not. I'm thinking I should take the half day to go home and rest. This week, it's been: work till nearly 5, go home, fall asleep for awhile, sit around like a zombie, go to bed. So the idea of working until 5, waiting for my friend to turn up, go to dinner at 6:45, see a 9:45 movie seems very daunting!!

But it's for a good cause. I did a cheer today when I realized that things ARE better already, thanks to Mr. Surgery! I might be tired and sore but I know there's improvement.

Those of us going the week before MLK - the 11-17th. We ought to see if we want to organize a gathering? Two of us are in the same resort, two of us are dealing with the same type of surgery/recovery... I think we ought to TRY!

Thanks everyone for the well wishes. The chiropractor, whom I trust greatly, said that I didn't do any major damage. He even did some X-rays to be sure. I'm sore and bruised, but other than that, I'm good.

Sarah - I'm willing to meet up at some point during my trip. I'm 7-15. My sister and I have to go through our "days" and figure out where we will be what day, so if you have any suggestions of something to do, let me know so maybe I can swing it to be in that park that day. ( I have a paranoid father that would FREAK if I went someplace by myself....it's DW and I'm 24...I think I can handle it Dad:rotfl: )

We might make one more for our last day (8 days there, 7 days on the DDP). We might pay OOP at Mama Melrose for lunch, because it's not very expensive there. I think we have to decide before we're seated, right, or rather, before we order?

I have the menu printed up, though! I'm ready.

So here's the TS plan:

1900 Park Fare (Dinner)
Chefs de France (Dinner)
Whispering Canyons (Dinner)
Coral Reef (lunch) - that's Superbowl Sunday, so the guys are going to be gone by late afternoon.
Mama Melrose (3 p.m. - technically lunch, but I wonder if we can talk them into the steak gorgonzola??) - we're eating early because of Fantasmic, but I couldn't get the plan.
Spoodles (Dinner)
Yak & Yeti (Dinner)

Could you borrow a double stroller from a friend? If your going to spend $85 for the week I'd look online (target has a great stroller dept online) and see if you could find a double unmbrella stroller. We are taking our large graco. DS is almost too big for our umbrella and w/ the graco he can lay down and we can stash stuff in the basket. You may even consider looking at second hand shops...If you get one cheap enough you can just leave it there when your done.

The reason I don't like the Disney strollers is that they are hard. They don't recline. There are 100's that look just like yours. They have to be left at the park. I hate walking back to the room with all the park stuff and a heavy limp sleeping kid. If you can bring your own!

 I hope you feel better. I did something to my back last week.
No fun!

What about a stroller swap? I found this one for you. But I am sure there are plenty more. I myself like the WDW strollers, wish I could fit in one.

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1885320&page=1&highlight=stroller+swap

That's great about the car! Here's an idea. If you were going to bring a little umbrella stroller, would you be willing and/or able to stop at a Target or Walmart when you got to town and then buy a real inexpensive one just to use at WDW? Then you could leave it for someone there. I've read of people doing that. Then you wouldn't have to try to squeeze it in. Of course, if it's the bigger one that doesn't fit, you may ignore my idea! :) Oh one more thing - I'd say have your own or rent - don't use Disney's unless you can take it back to the hotel with you. Don't want to lug a sleeping child all the way from a bus stop to your room! Even if you have to take the child out to fold the stroller on the bus, you could put them back in for the walk to the room.

Thanks for all the suggestions! I'm looking into a twin maclaren stroller swap- thanks for the link and wish me luck! That would be the best! I hate to spend extra money on something I already own but I really don't think it will all fit in the car. I definitely don't want to rent the WDW ones because of cost, comfort for a napping 20 month old, and not being able to take it out of the parks- especially DTD where doubles aren't available.

I just wanted to pipe in on pre buying Photo Cd. I've pre bought 2 now and bought CD at WDW when they first started doing it. DH and I who are kidless have never had an issue getting our moneys worth. For a week trip I've never had less than 800 pictures. We always tell Photo ppl to snap away the cd is already bought.
I love being able to add borders once I get home. I also did some really cute editing with last trips pics by making photo black and white than adding borders

That's great to hear! So you aren't limited to the number of pics on the CD!!!! Woo Hoo!

mmmmmm,,

thank you!:goodvibes

I'm up for a meet!! Will be there from the 10th - 16th. Since it will be a girls thing from the sounds of it count in me & my friend D who is going with us. Will be great to have some kid free time.

Hidden Mickey hunt around the house was a success!! I hid 20 DS found 19. I um forgot about the one in the frig till dinner. :rotfl:

Now Trixie has done a fantastic job of keeping us "FIXATED" on this thread, and I would like to try to post a few. We will see if this works, it's my first time. I would like to try to pay homage to a few of the "more seasoned" men that we all think are DREAMY. (Keep in mind, Chris Cornell is over 40---ayayay!)

So since I can't seem to figure out how to do it, I will ask Trixie.

I would like to introduce to the ladies in the room a man that the men will appreciate as well, Mr. Cal Ripken.

And if you have time, is it me or is Mike Rowe from Dirty Jobs kinda hot?

party:I'm over 200 posts!party:

Congrats! I'm up for a party!

It's kind of quiet here tonight. I bathed the kids, put them to bed, watched Desperate Housewives on line and only missed one page!? That's unusual. It's super cold here tonight and windy as all get out. I'm huddled on the couch with the dog and blankets. I think I need some hot chocolate!!

I'm not usually on at night. Kids are in bed & DH is in basement. That's off limits to me for awhile. SO we watched Surf's Up & worked on a gingerbread man jigsaw puzzle. Do I know how to party or what?

Sounds fun to me! I love jigsaw puzzles!

This one is a real bear too 500 tiny pieces of a gingerbread town w/ teeny tiny gingerbread celeberties hidden around.

You are about 5 hours north of me how cold is it there? Its 20 with windchill of 11 here. The dogs kept stealing the blankets of me today while I was resting on the couch watching movies. Little stinkers.

Hey snowbirds,

I'm not sure if someone is already organizing something for this date but here it goes. Some of us are planning to meet up on January 20th. We don't know where yet and the exact time, but we'll figure that out. If you would like to join us, stop by my PTR (link below) and let us know! I tend to get lost in all the messages on here as we're such a chatty bunch!

RIght now my computer says 19. It's definitely quite windy although the weather woman on the 6 o'clock news said the winds will die down tomorrow. It's supposed to get up into the mid thirties the next few days. Yippee. Maybe we will still get our Christmas lights up on the roof.
Okay, just saw a weather update. Nasty windchill below zero tomorrow a.m. High should be 26 Friday. Not good enough for me. Wish I could stay home!! I usually have Fridays off too, but tomorrow I'm working in the a.m. Dang.
So do you own the coffee shop? You posted a website once, but I don't remember it. I'll be driving through WI on the way to WDW - are you near I-94? :)

Howdy all you night hawks! :goodvibes Hope everyone had a great day! I went to see my chiropracter and he said my neck is way messed up! He used much more doctory sounding words but basically, my neck is BAD! I have to go see him twice more tomorrow! In other news, DD7 lost another tooth today so now I am off to write another Tooth Fairy note and scrounge in the couch for loose change! Nighty Night! :cloud9:

Yes I do but its in IL off highway 20. We live in the tri state area. Website is kaytescoffee.com. The closest WI town you might recognize is Platteville, closest Ia is Dubuque.

I need to get to my shop & get decorating but not sure when that's gonna happen. Hopefully soon. I went for a car ride to Dbq. yesterday & really regretted it later. I wont be able to drive for awhile. A couple of weeks before I get my car back. If I want to drive I will either have to borrow my mom's or drive The Great White Whale (minivan) my car is a stick so shifting is out for awhile.

For all you Phillies fans, and I know there are a lot of you out there -
I just read an article that Chase Utley is having surgery on his hip and he may be out until the first part of the season. Just thought you'd like to know. :)
