We got the Wii but no Wii fit. Hubby wants to get that AND Rock Band. I'd like to at least wait until after our vacation!! We still have to pay personal property taxes and some are our professional dues are up and sales tax on my car...really not sure where all that cash is going to come from!! :confused3 :rotfl:

My living room looks like a war zone! I cleaned for a few hours last night and did get most of the kitchen in order, so now I need to do SOMETHING with all of these toys. I never got a chance to clean out the toyboxes before Christmas so I'm thinking a big box taken to Goodwill is a good idea!

Its supposed to be 72 degress today (it was like 2 a few days ago) but severe thunderstorms so we can't enjoy the temps, and everythings is going to melt so we're expecting flash floods...FLorida can't come soon enough!

I'm one of the lucky ones - everyone in the family is OK. Just hoping we stay that way, particularly at Disney this year! I got my Clorox Bleach wipes from Amazon; they came in two days even though I didn't pay for two day shipping! I got a lovely PM from another DISer saying that sealing about 20 or so in a ziplock bag is OK and they won't dry out, so that's what I'm going to do!

I finally broke down and cleaned the kitchen. I do it every two months or so whether it needs it or not! :lmao: No, not true - but this time was a beast. And I've got tendonitis in one shoulder so it was interesting doing it one-handed!

Working my other job today, so I'd better get myself in gear. It's going to be in the 60's today - based on Soleil's weather reports, it looks like that's Disney weather! :woohoo:

ONE WEEK TO GO!

I don't understand...what's the benefit of preordering photopass?

If you preorder the photopass you pay a discounted rate of $99

BTW guys and gals I am 23 days away from a wonderful much needed DisCation; how early do I have to preorder the photopass? or is it just as long as I order it b4 we receive our first card from a camera guy? Thanks everyone!!!

I must be stressing about our trip...I had a dream last night that we were at MK but went to the wrong entrance (??) and missed the opening ceremony which, to Andy and I is the epitome of Disney! Then we went to a ride (don't even know what it was but it was nothing exciting) and kept losing our place in line, and I kept trying to get to Space Mtn because that is always the first ride we go to, but things kept getting in our way, and it was getting later and later and I couldn't make it to the ride...

AAAAHHHH!!!!
I can't believe we leave in 27 days. I need to get this house organized so I can start packing!!

I'm part of a photopass share but I haven't heard from any of them in awhile so I sent out PMs!!!

I made my final packing list the other day and I'm going to go shopping as soon as we get the car fixed on a lot of the things on the list and start putting it away. I won't pack any clothes until right before I leave, however I will pack my water and my other non-pershiable food items in a box to take with me LOL!

Hello Everybody! Hope everybody had a great few days :) I also am sick  Nothing to bad but it's a lot of coughing and sneezing :sad1:

Well my Mother decided to give us passes to Universal Studios - very nice BUT now I have to re-plan everything :scared1: I've been done planning for months. I don't know what to do?? Does anybody have any Universal tips? Do we try and do both parks in one day? I only have one day that MAY work..what about a half a day? Is it a good place for little ones? AHHH! Oh well I guess it will make these last 25 days go by faster :car:

We have done Universal before & might this year too haven't decided yet. There are a few areas for kids Suess land in IA & Barney/Woody Woodpecker area in Studios. most of the rides are high energy. Last time we went DS was 2 & DD was 6 She went on the ET ride, Jimmy Neutron, & few others but to be honest not that many were for her. The little guy loved Suess land. We were lucky that we had my mom, sister & brother inlaw with us so we took turns staying with the kids there & going on the rides.

Hi Snowbirds. Rainy and cold here. Looks like warm weather is coming our way though. I should have no flight problems on Wen.:thumbsup2
Need to get the house is shape today. Wish we had trash picke up yesterday. Not sure when it we are getting a pick up. We have so much trash. I have to get up in the attic today and straighten up and get some more things packed!
So eveyone have a great saturday!:yay:
Ooooo! I totally forgot about preordering my photopass! I need the answer to Kim's question too! I leave in 29 days!

I have strange dreams also! I dreamed the other night that I allowed DD to have a sleep over the night before we left for WDW. I was so upset that I forgot we were going to wdw, and it ruined my surprise. It was not a good dream. I always dream I am going to forget something Our last trip I forgot my tooth brush!

Good morning Snowbirds!

We are supposed to get a record high of 64 degrees today. We had a thunderstorm last night. That might not seem odd to some of you, but generally in we don't get thunderstorms in PA in December. :confused3 Very strange weather. If we get anymore rain we will be able to float down to Disney! :boat:

Hey everyone. Prayers are needed. My mother's condition has changed. She still has kidney stones however during the night her oxygen levels dropped and it was discovered that she has pneumonia (or however the heck you spell that weird word). She now is in ICU. She's so paranoid about our trip, but doctors keep saying that they believe she has the extra fluid because of the kidney stone. However they can't do anything about the kidney stone just yet because of the pneumonia. The doctor we talked to a few minutes ago said that by the end of the weekend however they should be able to take care of the stone and that within a 24 hour period we would see a drastic change with the pneumonia. So my father is going psycho, he doesn't handle stress very well, and he doesn't show emotion...at all. So I'm just trying to keep everything together here.

Your mom is on our prayers. Keep us posted.

I know, anymore we are more likely to have snow for Easter than Christmas. Very strange.

Well now that we didn't have any snow for Christmas I'm at least hoping it will hold off until after our trip so we have no travel delays! :wizard:

10 days!!! The suitcases are out, and today is the day I start putting stuff in them! I still don't know how to pack for varying weather, as we are so used to going in September, when it is HOT. Layers, I hear, layers.

Hi guys!!

I have been absent from here for a LONG time but I am leaving in 7 days and am so stressed:scared1:

I haven't done a thing to pack yet...not one thing. I was trying to get the holiday stuff out of the way and then deal with it. I am working today..For our trip, it looks like the weather will be upper 60's to low 70's which is abosolutley perfect:banana:

I don't know if I am going to have time to take down all of the holiday stuff before we leave.

Is anyone else freaking out???? I feel totally ungrateful to be whining about this....I am sure lots of people would feel lucky to have problems like this.;)

Hello Snowbirds!!:goodvibes

Red~ keep us posted on your mom...she is in my prayers!!

Shelly~ those pics of the boys were soooo cute!! I loved it! And I did notice the TV in the box!:thumbsup2 Way to go!!

Andrea~ good to see you!!!!! I usually leave my tree up til after New Years, but I will probably start taking ornaments off and boxing them up today. We have 3 weeks of school to get in before we leave. (we start back on the 5th), and I have to sneak everything, we aren't telling until the day before we leave. Which by the way is 4 weeks from today!! YIPPEE!!!
I have to have my house cleaned, organized, from stem to stern before we go anywhere!! So, I will be busy the next couple of weeks.

As far as sickness:sick: ,it's me! I started that darn sinus stuff again Christmas Eve, my throat is sore, lots of drainage and just wore out feeling. Yesterday was the worst I felt, but I just feel tired now;but, I would rather feel this way here, than on vacation!!!!!!

We had an excellent Christmas!! DS13 loved his Ipod and all that he got, DS9-thrilled with his Nintendo ds and legos, and DD is lovin' Elizabeth the AG. They got a few other little things, and from grandparents, so we are all very thankful and blessed!!!! Hope you all have a great weekend and enjoy your days off ......we have rain forecasted for days & days, so I don't think we are even gonna try to mess with fireworks this time. Hopefully it'll dry up by Wed. night for at least some sparklers!!!!

Whine away!!! I'm the same way. We have four weeks but still feel completely unprepared! I can't imaging having to decide to take down all the stuff before or after. I know it would be VERY nice to not have to come home to it, but I don't even want to think about the lack-of-organizational nightmare that is my decor!!! I probably won't touch it until next weekend!
