Can you believe it - One Week Until Christmas!!! One week until we can openly talk about the trip!!

Great news! Our airfares dropped again! I can't believe it is only $59 from Philly to MCO in January. We now have a huge credit with Southwest. I never thought I'd see that price.

Congrats!!

We got ours for $64 from Pittsburgh to MCO! We have a $360 credit with SW as of now. This is the best price we ever got going to WDW!!

Hey Ya'll!!!!! How are you doing!!?? I have been soooo busy!! We got all that stuff baked and delivered on Monday. Tues and tonight were open house nights at my dd ballet and gymnastics class. Last night was church. So, I have also had to get my parents stuff and stockin' stuffers, and mail out my christmas stuff. Whew, I am tired!! Ha!!! Well, yesterday was me and Mikes first date!!!!! WOW!!! I can't hardly believe it!!!!!! He is such a sweetie
Well, I am taking the kids to see The Tale of Desperaux!!! That was the CUTEST book!!

Today when I took DS7 back to the pediatric ophthalmologist when the nurse was checking his eyes she said to him - boy you look like you would rather be somewhere else. . . And he said - yep I would - Disney!! Oh if he only knew!!!

According to the trustworthy weatherman, I'm expected to get 5-9" of snow. Then more snow Saturday night into Sunday. I'M SICK OF SNOW!!!!!!!!!

Hopefully that trusted weatherman is correct. I would much rather be here in the morning checking on the Disboards than being on the road attempting to get to work....
I'm right there with you sista'...I'm sick of the snow! I'm also sick of my cough. I feel good besides this stupid tickle in my throat all of the time.

Good evening snowbirds! I got magical mail today woo hoo! I am also waiting to see if this snow/ice comes tonight or not. I have to be at work at 10am.

Good morning all!

Well, schools are mostly closing early or just flat out closed here today, and not a flake in the sky yet! A bit weird, really. We just don't *do* that here.

As someone else said, though, this happened once long ago with a fierce daytime storm and when the schools and businesses released early it was a nightmare on the roads. People stuck on on-ramps for hours (literally!) and abandoning cars on the highways. Yuck!

This storm doesn't look to be nearly as severe as that one, but it should be fun! They're calling for 6-12 last I heard, with snowfall rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour. Should make for interesting driving, but really pretty!

Oh, that snowstorm many years back - those of you from this area, you'll recall the snowfall rates were more in the 5-6 inches per hour rate. THAT was veeeery interesting!

Well, our local school is closed. I live in a very rural country school so the buses drive on county roads where the drifting and blowing snow is terrible. I decided to stay home! So, when the DD's finally wake, we will be moving the living room furniture and I'm going to get an early start on shampooing my carpet!

I'm ALMOST at my 1 month mark!

Good morning everyone!

Meghan~sounds like our little ones have the same bug. DS was miserable for some time this morning. I gave him some Children's Tylenol to make him comfortable, which stuck with him for only about 1/2 hour. Fortunately, it was long enough to take effect. He was up playing shortly after. He was even able to eat a banana, some fish crackers, a small peanut butter sandwich and some cheesy chex mix.

I think I'll dose him up again at 7:30 before bed.

Hope everyone expecting nasty weather tomorrow stays safe and warm. We are expecting a "wintery mix" tonight and tomorrow morning. Looks like we should be ok in our area though. I hate when we get weather like this when DH has a flight. Thankfully, tonight his his last one until after Disney

Keaton took almost a three hr nap but woke up hot again! We ran out to pick up big brother at Grandmas house and picked up a gift for his teacher, and now we're back home. Drew's whiney probably because little brother's getting all the attn. Keaton's bouncing off the walls though! Hope it doesn't last long, I'm whooped. I hope I'm just really tired and not coming down with anything. Better dose myself up with Tylenol!!

My DD is all better. When I left to go to my dance practice last night, her temp was at 99. I woke her up around 7:20ish and asked her if she wanted to stay home again today. She said yes so that she would be ok for the weekend. We're going to Syracuse this weekend to celebrate Christmas with our extended family. She doesn't have a fever anymore, so that's good. The good news is also that she's not missing anything with school. Every school here is closed! We're supposed to be getting a big snow storm today between 8am and 3pm. I guess they wanted to keep all the kiddos safe and warm! Hooray! I was wondering why no one answered the phone when I tried calling the school earlier. I turned on the news and noticed that everyone was closed.

For those of you that are supposed to be getting the bad weather like me, stay safe!

Good Moring Snowbirds! here in Akron, Ohio it looks like we are goin to get just rain. not a lot of schools closed here near me, i am getting ready to head out for work! stay safe everyone!

Every single school here is closed. They actually started closing at 11 last night, DDs' closed by 4:30 am, along with everyone else. DH said the highway wasn't plowed for him...a 40 minute trip took almost 2 hours. We have about 8 inches of new snow, and it wasn't even snowing when I went to bed at 1 a.m.! Craziness. The girls are a bit disappointed because they're missing their Christmas parties and it's DD9's horrible teacher's last day. Now they can look forward to parties the first day back from break, as I look forward to the new teacher!

Well our school had a 2 hour delay. So the kids just got on the bus a little bit ago. We had freezing rain through the night. It's turning to just rain now, but a lot of it. It is nasty out there!
