Shelly- If you don't mind, I thought it would be fun to track the weather for January. I found a website that tracks the weather 15 days out, so January 1 is forecast today. I realize that it won't be very accurate at this time, but it's still fun to take a peek.

So here's the Daily :sunny:Soleil:sunny:Report:

January 1st
Day: High of 71, periods of rain. (Boo! )
Night: Low of 40, rain. (Double Boo!)

Good idea! :goodvibes I have been watching the Orlando weather everyday. Seems to be a lot of rain. :sad2: But warm! :cool1: And we all know that when it rains in Orlando it doesn't usually rain for long!!:wizard:

I can't believe we are getting so close!

In one week from now the cat will be out of the bag, the the beans will be spilled, the Trip Will Be Revealed!!! :santa: :yay: :yay:

Yeah, thank you but take away the rain! :confused3

PONCHOS in their stockings....:lmao:
I got a couple the other day.

Hey does anyone know how much it costs to rent lockers? That could be a good way to go. Especially for those of us that have big groups split the cost share the ocker for coats.

Not sure of the price. I was thinking that we might need to do this too. I'll have to check around and see if I can find a price. . .

Found it! Well, for MK anyway ~

"Lockers - are located at the Transportation and Ticket Center and also at the Main Street Railroad Station (ground level). As of January 9, 2008, locker rentals cost $5.00 for small lockers, $7.00 for large lockers, plus the $5.00 deposit (Disney dollars or real dollars) refunded upon return of the key on the same day."

Epcot - Lockers - Attended lockers are located on the west side of Spaceship Earth (on the right as you enter the park). Unattended lockers are available at the International Gateway. Locker costs: $5.00 for small and $7.00 for a large locker with a refundable deposit of $5.00.

DHS - Lockers - Located just inside the park entrance at Oscar's on your right. Cost is $5.00 for small lockers, $7.00 for large lockers, plus the refundable $5.00 deposit, which is given back when the locker key is returned on the same day.

AK - Lockers - are located just inside and outside the park entrance. As you enter the park, lockers are located on the left side near Guest Relations. Locker costs: $5.00 for small and $7.00 for a large locker with a refundable deposit of $5.00.

That's not a bad price when you figure in time it would take you to go back to your resort to either pick up or drop off coats etc. Last year we just tied our sweatshirts around our waists & were fine. But if its chillier in the am might layer w/ windbrakers, & sweat & T's. & deposit as not needed.

Good morning everyone. I hope that you're all having a great day so far.

Happy Thurdsay, Snowbirds.

Staying in with a sick little boy today. He must have the stomach bug, poor little guy. I hate when he's sick. Hopefully he'll be better by Christmas.

Hope you all have a great day!

Wow, "Tis the season...I'm at home today with a sick 2 yr old! Andy picked him up yesterday with 103 temp. Tested positive for Influenza. He was warm this morning but not feeling too bad. He's running around me watching MM Clubhouse right now for the 3rd time and throwing a bouncy ball around the room! I'm kind of relieved to have a sick day. Hopefully he'll nap later and I can start wrapping!! I CAN'T BELIEVE I HAVEN'T WRAPPED ANYTHING YET!! I still have presents to buy, too! I'm going to make my list of things I need to do/get and hopefully will get some things accomplished today! If I'm really ambitious, I may bake. I'm going to try to make truffles as cute little gifts for family. I'm looking to find my inner-Martha Stewart! :rotfl: :rotfl:

Have a great day Snowbirds, I'll check back later!

I feel for you! My DD has a stomach bug too. She woke up at 1:30am, 4am and 6am. The first time, we had to tear apart her bed. Well, I shouldn't say we. My DH had to clean up her room. I couldn't even walk in there. If I would have, I would have gotten sick. So, she's home from school today and I had to call into work. My one day I was scheduled to work this week! Oh well! She's better now. Laying in bed watching "Elf" on our portable DVD player. I hope everyone's kiddos feel better soon!

I'm now in the US!!!!!! Oi, the jet lag's been rough with the kids, and we came sick with a bad cold and mild stomach upset...but we're here and getting caught up on sleep and life!

It's great to be home!!!!!

Thought I'd pop on and let you know I'm now in the same time zone as most of you!:rotfl:

Carrie-Welcome back to the States! How exciting for you and your family! Get some rest!

That sounds a lot like our morning as well. He's sleeping now, thankfully. Does your DD have a temp, too? I hope this sneaks out of his system quickly! We've got a busy 3 weeks coming up!

I forgot to add . . . if anyone out there is currently holding the Worst Mother of the Year award, could you pass it my way? I took DS to the local potter store to make something fabulous for DH's grandparents. We were doing a bubbling technique in a bowl and DS wanted to do it. Not a big deal. Blow into a bowl full of paint, dish detergent and water through a straw. He knows not to drink the yucky, bubble/paint/water concoction. So, he's blowing bubbles and having a grand time when he accidentally slurps it through the straw. Fortunately for me, he hates all things that aren't water. He only EVER drinks water. He immediately spit it out and we cleaned him up. He was fine after that. Had dinner no problem. My first thought this morning when he got sick, was that I had poisoned him. I spent some time on the phone with the on call service and poison control. Fortunately they said nothing to worry about. Still made me feel terrible.

Yeah!! So glad you made is safe and sound!!

Good morning Snowbirds!

So sorry for everyone who has sick kids right now. Hope they will all be feeling better by Christmas and then stay healthy for Disney!

I figure we going to get it out of his system now and he'll be healthy as horse for Disney... Here's hoping, anyway.

Okay...I think it was here that we once upon a time talked about Amish bread...well my hubby just sent me an email and one of his students got him a Christmas pot and two loaves of Cinnamon Amish Bread...I'm drooling as I type this....I think he gets more gifts cuz he's the handsome teacher at their school...he gets hit on by 4th graders LOL...I'm just amused!!!!!

She does have a temp. It was 101.1 around 10am. I just checked it about 20 minutes ago and it's down to 99. She is feeling much, much better now. She's now watching a Disney Princess Christmas movie!

I never cease to be amazed at how quickly little ones can bounce back. One dose of antibiotic in him and our son we MUCH better this morning. It seems that as soon as their fevers go down, they're raring to go.....

I know! I gave her some children's tylenol and now she's pretty much back to her normal self. She was so miserable this morning and it was breaking my heart. I'm pretty exhausted from waking up every few hours with her. I'm hoping that she'll want to take a nap in awhile!

I read in UG or Passporter or some planning book, that if you keep your receipt for the locker and park hop you gcan get a new locker at the hopped to park. It's worth a shot!!!

YAY! :yay: Carrie, so glad you and your family made it home safely! Enjoy your Christmas and special times with your Fam! Catch up on some sleep and then come hang out with us when you can!

:rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl2: 4th Graders, eh? That is so funny! My girls' science teacher is the ONLY male teacher in the WHOLE SCHOOL so he gets a lot of attention! Doesn't hurt that he's tall, dark and handsome either! Oh and very young too! I think he is like 24 or something! My DH works with his mother and she is forever telling stories about how Mr. S gets hit on by the young ladies! Too Funny!

I sure hope that all the little JR. snowbirds feel better soon! Don't want anybody being sick for Christmas or Disney! Saying prayers for all wee ones to get better soon!

Also I just wanted to give a big THANK YOU to all of you wonderful Snowbirds who are doing all the work in keeping us informed of all the different information! You all are so great! Thanks to you from me and all the other appreciative Birdies! :thumbsup2

We did Tylenol almost 6 hours ago and he's just now getting warm and whiney. I probably pushed him too hard because I drug him to Walmart to get wrapping paper and some last minute stuff. He was in a great mood, came home and ate some McD's french fries, now we're watching Disney channel on my bed!
