Whew - Had to catch up on everything the past 4 days...what a chatty bunch you've been.

Thanks to all of you, my snowbird friends, for all your powerful prayers. Mom came through the 5 hour surgery well on Tuesday. She's still in ICU, but they hope to have her in a regular room tomorrow. It was a rough surgery, especially for someone her age and not in the best of health. But, so far, so good. PT had her sitting up yesterday - YAH! She's not out of the woods yet, but so far so good......

I love Orlando Bloom. I think Johnny Depp is an amazing actor and easy on the eyes, but I'm a sucker for an Aussie boy!!!!

The teachers say Belle and the little blonde boy in front of her are kind of
sweet on eachother. I say she's only having 'boy friends' and not 'boyfriends' until she's 20!!!!

Last week her little friend Aidan walked up and kissed her on the lips. I nearly fell out! Belle and her three little girl friends (See-wah, Aba and Rabie aka Sarah, Ava and Railey) are in a 'kissy-huggy' phase and give each other a kiss goodbye every afternoon. Aidan didn't want to be left out.

Two years ago when I would pick up my DD from pre-school, her friend Jayden would constantly have his arm around her! It was so cute! She always used to hang out with all the boys, but it's not the case anymore. She had an all girls birthday party this year. :)

And so it begins LOL!! That is too cute!! My mother likes to tell me that I was engaged to be married when I was 4. I even had a fake diamond ring from him LOL

We were at a hayride a few weeks ago for our DS's soccer team end of season get together. We were walking through the corn maze with another family who's daughter is on the team. Our DS and their daughter were walking ahead of us and I happened to look up at just the right time and saw them give each other a quick little kiss. It really was quite cute. We quickly embarassed them and that was then end of it. :lmao:

We will continue good thoughts that Mom gets completely well soon!!

I am not one for celeb crushes, but I have recently fallen victim.

The new love of my life.....

Not the real John Krasinski, but his character Jim. DH is okay with this, as he doesn't really exist. Secretly, I think DH is crushing on Pam.:lovestruc

That is great news. We will continue to keep her in our prayers for a quick recovery.

Celeb crushes - I have had one that has stayed constant since I was a little girl....(let me put this in perspective...I'm 33). I just LOVE Kenny Rogers... Now, I prefer the pre-plastic surgery version, but.... :lmao:

I can't go back to find the original quote, but regarding little kid "couples" - when my d was in preschool, she and one of her classmates got married one day - they were both 3! Too cute!

Speaking of celeb crushes - I do have to say (once again dating myself) I love NCIS, not for Mark Harmon as others may presume, but for Ilya Kuryakin - oops, I mean David McCallum - my crush since The Man from U.N.C.L.E.. Please :worship: tell me that someone else remembers it, too??

(Boy, I wish I knew how to paste pictures from the net here!)

So glad to hear good news about your mom. Hope it keeps going well.

I  Kenny Rodgers, too!!!!:yay:

You two are both TOO YOUNG to have a crush on KR!! My mom (74) loved him!! :rotfl:
I (at 40) have always had a little crush on Rick Springfield. One of the first concerts I ever went to was him at the MN State Fair with my mom, aunt and cousin. I think I was about 11. I never even watched him on general Hospital, just the music. I actually owned one of his albums in vinyl! (For you young folks, that is what CDs used to be before cassette tapes!) :)

Since high school though - it's been no one else but JON BON JOVI!!! OH MY! The great thing is he has aged so well. My kids hear his music and don't believe that I used to listen to it so long ago. They think that's pretty funny.

Thanks to you both. I'm convinced things have gone so well because of the prayers coming from around the U.S.! You guys rock!!

I also want to chime in on the good news about your mom! We will continue to pray that she will have a speedy recovery!!

Me too!

All of this talk about boys & girls in school is making me SO glad my kids go to single sex schools! :rotfl: Don't worry, I know my time is coming!

Gotta go get ready for the trick or treaters... An urban Halloween is something to see.:scared1:

Just got back from the parent/teacher conference and she reaffirmed that our son is brilliant, creative, social, do I need to go on??:lmao:

I'm TURNING off the computer...I can't NOT be on it if its on! I'm addicted! So in order to get ANYTHING done before I go pick up my 2 yr old and get ready for the trick-or-treating, it's gotta be turned off! Will catch up with you all in the AM!

Have a wonderful (and safe) Halloween. It's going to be a BEAUTIFUL night here! 72 degrees right now!! Perfect!

Okay! If we are talking Disney Men - than definitely Orlando. :lovestruc If it is just your average, run of the mill celebrity, than my vote is for my LONG TIME (like 21 yrs) crush - Sean Astin! I have seen The Goonies over 100 times! I am not kidding! I seriously have every line memorized! :rotfl: How lucky could I be to have both guys in the same movie! Lord of the Rings so rocks! :yay:
