It is really cold here, too. Probably in the 60's - but that's so cold to me!!!!

BBBBBBRRRRRRR!!!!!!

Well first of all for those of you intersted in the weather in FL at the moment well its COLD LOL (Well it is cold for me LOL)!! High 61 degrees and Lows in the 30s...not ideal for October in Florida!

Wow! Yeah, I feel for you guys! (is there a sarcasm smilie? Insert one here!) :) That's higher than the average for this time in October in MN!! My family will be the ones wearing shorts around WDW when it's 60 there in January!!

Okay, every time I read a new menu or see the list of where everyone is eating (Thanks Shelly), I want to go to more restaurants!!

I am definitely going to have to plan another trip that lasts more than 5 days so I can have time to eat at all these places!!! I am glad I'm trying new ones this trip, but there's JUST TOO MANY!!! Now I can't wait to go again and book Crystal Palace breakfast just to get a picture in front of the castle without 200 other people in it! (Not that I don't love Pooh and his friends...) I think if I had a longer trip, I would feel like I had the time to spend eating at TS restaurants and could go to some at the resorts on our non-park days and not feel like I was wasting precious park time! Okay, now I have to really start saving $$. I think it will be two years before I can pull this trip off!
Thank goodness these boards are free! (They just give me ideas about how to spend my $$ - and some on how to save too!)

WHEW! I'm exhausted now.
Okay, found the sarcastic smilie. Should have used that in my last post responding to you southern weather wimps! :)

P.S. I should add that I consider sarcasm a second language, so I'll try to use  so everyone knows I'm not being mean! No offense ever intended!

Boy I was just thinking the same thing!! :rotfl: I would love to see 60 degrees this week, that would be so warm compared to what we are having. It's not snowing yet, but it is cold and very windy. :sad2:

Afternoon snowbirds!
I hope everyone is having a great day! Its raining cats and dogs here, and I am drenched! Umbrellas are not all they're craked up to be!

Gonna go back and catch up on all the pages I missed now!

Wow, now that I am al caught up!

Momof2Disneyboys, where in Pa are you? I grew up in PA and moved to Ohio a couple of years ago.

Our tradition on our last night is to go to turf club for a late dinner and then we pick the park we want to spend our last night in and just enjoy!

I used to live closer to the Ohio border in Greenville. I have family in Hermitage. I'm sure you've heard of those cities. I don't like to mention my actual town on here since it is very small and you never know who is out there lurking :rotfl: . . . But now I am closer to Pittsburgh. A little north of the city.

Where did you grow up at?

I'll be the one bundled up in a scarf and gloves LOL!! Let's make sure we wave and say hi to each others LOL!!

It amuses me that you guys are all talking about swimming in a pool...yeah you won't be finding me near a pool in January even if it is heated LOL

And in my defense I said it was cold for ME LOL!!

Jen
aka Southern Weather Wimp and Proud of it LOL!!!

I grew up in the Penn Hills/Verona/Oakmont area.

Thanks for posting the Chef Mickey breakfast menu! I can't wait to go back there! Yum!

And that is some chilly FL weather - Yikes! What's it going to be like in January if it's already this chilly in October?

QOTD- We usually go back to our favorite park and do some of the things we liked best. Last time that was MK so I'm sure it will the same this year. We also hit DTD and get our souvenirs before we go.

Mmmm Chef Mickey's!
I love their breakfast!

QOTD: I love to catch a nighttime show on my last night. Usually I love to go to MK and just sit and watch the castle before it's time to go home, but because of the stinky Fantasmic schedule I will be spending my last night at HS. My last day I'll be doing the backstage magic tour, which I'm uber excited about!

Pin trading is AWESOME! I really don't trade to much these days, I mostly buy ones I love and then I display them on a big cloth banner in my room. It's such a great way to meet and talk with people though. It can get a little pricey, but I've found a great way to manage it is set a limit by getting a gift card and load it up with your pin budget. They are great because they are easy to pack and bring home, and you can display them in really creative ways, and they really do have pins for every occasion! Definately stock up on some really cheap ones (but make sure they're official) before you go so you can trade!
So any luck with a code today?

One of the reasons I let the kids get pins is they are so small and don't take up space in the luggage!! They would also make nice little gifts for people if you bring something back for others. I love the idea of the gift card! I think I will do what someone else suggested and go buy one or two cards for $25 each every month between now and the trip (that's only 3!) for spending money. Then I won't have to dole out a lot of cash!

I've been buying the cards except in larger amounts because I intend to have my whole trip payed off with gift cards by the time we get there. I buy a card a month and I have one for food, one for souvenirs, and will have a couple to pay for the hotel room. Then come January we won't have a huge bill to pay for. It is my own payment plan for this trip. I love the idea!!!

The only cash I will need is for tips YAY!!

You're so smart! I wish I would have thought of that sooner! I'm one day away from my 3 month mark now!! :woohoo:

I like this idea of using cards to pay for everything!
I have a set amount to spend everyday, and having gift cards would make it easy to keep track! I was thinking of charging everything to the room, then paying one big bill with the Disney visa at the end of the trip, and then paying that bill off right away, this way I get points!
Ok so a few questions for you,
Do the little snack carts and small stands take gift cards? Do you know of any specific stores that don't take the gift cards? (like any WS locations?)
Are they the cards you buy in the Disney Store, or specific WDW cards?

Does anyone know if gift card purchases qualify for points on the Disney Visa?

I asked the CMs the same questions and I have been told all Disney stores, food realtors, and restaurants (Except for places like Rainforest Cafe and the new TREX) will take the cards. I specifically asked about all my restaurants and as long as they are Disney they will take them. Which is why I'm doing it this way that way I don't have to worry about my NDH LOL seeing a huge credit card bill I will have my cards with me and that is my limit!!

Cool thanks!
I have the DxDDP so I will only need them for extra sodas or whatnot, but I'm really trying to limit the stuff I buy! It's not even an issue of money at this point, its a space thing. There is just not more room in my apartment for anything else Disney! So it's just a few things here and there (I'm on a mission to find wine glasses!)

Oh-oh, Shelley I have a change to make to my ADRs! Sorry!

On January 19, we're now eating at Boma for breakfast instead of 1900 Park Fare.

If it's bad, I'm blaming Trixie. :goodvibes

Boma's for breakfast is a must do for us. We don't care for dinner there, but breakfast is great. They have great scrambled eggs there. They were so good we asked our server what they're secret was. Don't tell anyone :lmao: but they add sugar to the eggs. They're wonderful.

They also have the best juice. It's they're house juice and it's a blend of orange, pineapple, papaya, etc. On our last trip, Oct. 2007, I talked to my daughter just before going into Boma's as to what she wanted me to bring her back for a souvenir since she couldn't go with us on that trip, and she wanted Boma's juice!!! Can you believe it, they were out of "juice". They said it was the first time that had ever happened. The delivery truck hadn't shown up.

Not 100% but I am pretty sure its the same breakfast juice they serve at O'hana's character breakfast!

I hear ya! Its 33 here and snowing like a son of a gun! If its 60 out when we're at Disney, we'll be at the pool!:rotfl:
