For all of you January experts - Do you think they will possibly add more rehabs to the schedule when it gets closer to January??? I am really worried about a few of my favorites in Epcot and DHS being closed. . .

Here are some great pictures of Wishes (and a few other things) from my friends who just got back! :goodvibes

Great pics! Love the Halloween pumpkin!

We'll be there with Splash closed but Philharmagic open. I guess I can stand not getting too wet in January!

BTW, Avon has some new Disney products. On clearance (one of my favorite words!) there's a Snowbabies figurine - the baby is wearing Mickey ears and putting them on a snowman! Very cute. Also, but not on clearance, there are some Princess books, nightgowns, etc.

Unfortunately, yes. I'm not sure which ones; your guess is as good as mine. The traditional ones have already been announced, Splash Mountain, a Water Park, and a Magic Kingdom ride/attraction (Mickey's PhilharMagic). There always seems to be a few others. Last year it was Journey into the Imagination (and another that slips my mind). Hopefully this is it, but I doubt it.:confused3

That's what I was afraid of. . . :sad2:

Good morning, Snowbirds! :cool1: :cool1:
:bday: Jen! party:

Wow, I love this multi-quote! Here I go...

Hello all - I just want to pass along a little bit of "wisdom" or "food for thought."

We all worry about looking good in pictures. But think, who are you worried about? Most of us are going on a trip with our family. They love us and have NO expectations of glamour. They love us for who they are and see us for the beautiful people we are! This trip is going to be a great memory for your family, I'm sure. Having pictures with you in them will be precious to them, as will the pictures with the rest of your family in them. :grouphug:

We recently went through all of our Disney photo albums. I'm only in a handful of pictures. You almost wouldn't know I was there. That's sad to me - being the photographer all the time. Now that we are going with the family, I want to be sure I'm in a lot more of them. My kids are going to want to see the photos of their first trip, and it will be sad to them if Mommy's not in there (especially when I'm "gone", KWIM?).

That's why I'm getting a PhotoPass. I won't have to be the photographer allt he time, and we'll be able to get a good amount of photos of all of us. Will I look great - hardly! But it will be me, and my family and we'll all be together!!

So, being the old lady that I am (sort-of), I'd just like you to think about it - that's all. Losing weight, looking beautiful - great goals. Being you - best goal! :lovestruc

(Sharon steps off soapbox. Move along - nothing to see here.!)

Thank you, Sharon, for sharing your wise words! I am never in family pictures either (which is generally OK, but I would like to be in one or two!) When I was growing up my mom was the photographer--she died at age 42 (I was 16), and now I really wish we had more pictures of her. :sad1: I am in a Photopass share for this trip (thanks Shelly!) for the first time...another thing I learned from the DIS! :disrocks:

Well, I just read about 3 days worth of this thread and I'm exhausted - does this count as exercising?

:lmao: I sure hope so!

Ooh, no PhilharMagic?! Darn! I really like that one. Bummer, dude. Hey, maybe I should push our arrival up by a few days!

Jen - I soooo want to do the KTTK tour someday! My dad went earlier this year and said it was very cool. I don't know when I'll get a chance to do it because my DH doesn't want to go to WDW without our daughter EVER! I think it would be fun for just the 2 of us to go, but he doesn't. I will have to try and change his mind.

Meghan, you sometimes visit WDW with your parents too, right? Maybe on your next big family trip they will watch DD for a morning and you and DH can take the tour?

Ok off to bed, I have a job interview in the morning...hopefully I get it so I can pay for my trip. Wish me luck and send some pixie dust my way.

pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: Good luck!pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust:

OK, I think I'm caught up! Except for the things that have been added since I started typing... :rotfl:

Good Morning Snowbirds :goodvibes

Happy Birthday Jen :cake: :flower1: I hope you have a great day.

This will be DH's first trip to disney (he's led a sheltered life..LOL) and I really thought he would enjoy Hall of Presidents... :sad2: and I was looking forward to Splash Mountain :sad1: :sad1:

Well I guess it's reason to schedule another trip as soon as possible :cool1:

Good day Snowbird.

Just need to say hi this morning. I am at work, trying kill time in between kiddos AGAIN. The story of my life these dats.

I have a terrible migrain today. I am hoping I can get through the rest of my day.

I'll try to catch you all after work.

Have a great Snowbird day!!

Wow!
Speaking of photopass, we should create a list of people interested in sharing the cost of a photopass cd!
I know I will be using them alot since I'll be bymyself too!

Photopass Shares are great! You can generally get in on one for about $20-25 instead of paying over the $100 for it on your own. I already have 2 full groups of 7 people in each for January. If you ladies are interested I could organize a 3rd group on my thread. . . You would need to have a "Lead" though to take care of ordering the CD and making the copies and mailing and so on. . . You can read through the thread, I think how the share works is pretty well explained in there. Let me know if I can help anyone! :goodvibes

I would love to further explore this...I sent you a PM about it and hopefully we can figure something out together~~~:cheer2:

I did a photopass share with some other Disssers in April.... it worked out great.... I would love to get in on this one also..... I might even be able to take the lead.... just need to confirm when my bariatric surgery will be...

Hope you feel better, Mindy! pixiedust:

 Get well soon... migranes are the worst....

 :yay: :yay: :dance3: :cheer2: :rockband: party: :bday:
Happy Birthday JENJOLTparty: :rockband: :jumping1:   :woohoo: :woohoo:

First of all, Happy Birthday Jenjolt!

:cool1: :cool1:   party: party: party: :cheer2: :cheer2:

YEA for price drops, dancing at WDW, and whatever else we're celebrating!

Becca--thanks for the recipe! I'm going to try that one! DS8 has football practice from 5:30 to 7:30 three nights a week  so I'm always looking for recipes that can cook themselves while we're there. And I think I'm with you on SVU...I just don't need any more bad stuff to think about. I need more happy Disney stuff in my mind! :flower3:

Your welcome. It ends up really tasty, and I always want leftovers to reheat later on, but there never are any. I need a bigger crock pot...

(Sharon steps off soapbox. Move along - nothing to see here.!)

I've never understood the not being in pictures thing... but my Mom never likes being in pictures which means we have very few pictures of her when she was a young Mom, which is frustrating, because it's fun to see what she looked like when I was little, because I don't remember.

Ok. I'm a little mad right now. I just checked the Disney website to see if anything besides the Hall of Presidents is going to be closed while I'm there. Well, it looks like we won't be seeing Mickey's PhilharMagic!:sad2: It will be closed Jan 18-31st! 2 yrs ago, my DD wouldn't even put on the glasses, so she has never experienced this show. I loved it!

Also, just to let everyone else know, Dumbo will be closed Jan 7th and Splash Mtn will be closed Jan 4-17th.

Man....I was really looking forward to going to the Hall of Presidents. However, they probably will be adding El Presidente Nuevo, so I guess it's called for...

I don't think I've EVER ridden Splash Mountain... it either wasn't built, or I was too short when I was little. It was closed over the Spring Break I went, and the line was horrendous over New Year's.
Oh well....I'll just have to make it first priority during my trip next summer.

I'm also glad Dumbo is only going to be closed for a day, because my soon-to-be DH was really looking forward to it (Dumbo is his favorite)

Seriously! Splash will be closed while we are there! My son is going to be so disappointed. He was really looking forward to riding it.

I think I'm going to cry.

Hmm. . . I think you're on to something. . . No babies turning 7 ! :rotfl:
He wants Mickey-head sugar cookies for his school treats. So that will take awhile. When I make sugar cookies I usually make my great-grandmother's secret family recipe. They are very hard to make (very time consuming) and it seems that I am the only one in the entire family that can get it right(since she is no longer with us). So therefore I have to make some for everyone when I make them! :faint: Plus I am making a homemade ice cream cake. Only the second time I have made this, but it is pretty easy. I will take the cookies to the school tomorrow after lunch. We will have the ice cream cake tomorrow night. Then we are going to Chuck E Cheese Saturday.

Can I have one of your sugar cookies too pretty pretty please :worship: They sound so yummy!!

:grouphug: Thanks to everybody for your warm birthday wishes!! They sure have brightened my day!! YOU GUYS ARE THE BEST EVER!!!:grouphug:
