Baggellini! I hope I spelled that right-it's a weird word! I am always so curious about stuff like that-but I hate to order anything over the internet and have a hassle of returning it if it doesn't work out.So, for all you B fans, head to your Hallmark stores!!

I tried to do this yesterday, but my attic was too darn hot.
I am in the same boat. My kids dont know we have booked a trip to wdw.
I hope they dont found out either. DS is always clueless, but DD is so in tune.
Are you planning on wearing winter jacket to the airport? I am like what will I do with it when we get to Fla.?

Dressing in layers is good if you can. If someone is giving you a ride to the airport (like us) you could leave your coats with them, I think that's what we used to do when I was a kid.

So here I am!

Finally!

My evening was unexpectedly railroaded by yet another trip to the ER! This time not for me! While at school today my DD5 had a little fall and bumped her chin on the play equipment outside at lunch time. The teacher didn't think it was too bad, put a band aid on it and called it good. When I picked her up at the end of the day she told me about it and I looked at it and it didn't look that bad so I let it go. Well, at swimming, half way through her lesson, the lifeguard pulls her out of the water because her cut is open and bleeding quite freely! He calls me into the first aid room and tells me I should take her to the ER and have a docter look at it! Okey Dokey! So we wait 10 mins for DD7 to finish her lesson and then go home, grab DD5's health card, DH (whom I had called on the cell on the way home) had a bag all ready with toys and snacks and we were off! Too make a very long story really short, we waited and waited, finally saw a Doctor, she got 3 stitches and we arrived back at home before 9pm! We left the house @ 530! I AM EXHAUSTED! I needed to vent and I knew I could get some love from my snowbird peeps! Well, I am now off to bed! As peaches would say - Catch ya on the flipside!

Ick the ER I had to take my BF last month for a shoulder injury. The health center at school said he had to go there before they could do anything so we waited three hours for the physician's assistant to make him lift his arm up and down and give us a prescription for motrin... oh and at one point they kicked us out of the "room" and made us sit on folding chairs in the hall!!!

So, does somebody else want to organize something for us people going earlier in the month?

I would love to go to a Grand Gathering early in the month!! I was just about to make a spread sheet of who's there when I am. However I'm not a very good organizer If no one else will I can do it though!

I'll probably just wear lots of layers. Of course if you wear your coat into the airport and past security, then you don't have to check it, and as far as I know they haven't started weighing people... I guess it depends on your airline, but you can also have them hang it up once you get on the plane, you just have to remember to pick it up before you disembark.
I could probably get away with leaving mine in the car though, because it's not very far from the car to the terminal and back at MCI, and I won't need it when I get to Orlando


My favorite fireworks show is Fantasmic, because everybody gets a seat. I'm not a big fan of standing with my head wrenched around to see Fireworks, especially in large crowds.

My DFamily love the new counter and insisted we change the smilies on my signature line. For some reason they insisted on me to be Malificent . Maybe it is because of my "A" type of personality. My DFamily like it though when it comes to planning our soon to be vacation. I will be trying out new things to change my avitar for it to be more personalized but I am still taking baby steps.

To Sharadoc, you said to PM you so we don't take up too much of the thread. I am still new at this and don't know how to do that. Could you or another kind Dis person tell me how to PM someone. Thank you so much.

Hey Guys a quick question!! I'm doing an early morning breakfast at one of the parks at 8:05am how early can I go into the park to make it in time for my ADR?? Can I arrive at 7:45-7:50 and be allowed in????

Yay! Those are the best. I love early breakfasts.

When you get to the park, you'll see a line to the far right that says "Breakfast Reservations" or something to that effect. Sometimes they check confirmation numbers, but that hasn't happened to us. The line forms fairly early - we've never been first. They open the turnstile early - maybe 7:50 or 7:55ish - (once they kept us behind a room near the rental places, other times they let us just walk on down). It's so neat to see the empty park.

If you're going to CP, they ask one member from each party to line up and check in. They'll call your name from the patio, so don't wander too far away.



We're off for Fall Break tomorrow! Y'all have a great week/weekend!

Hi fellow snowbirds! I know I've been pretty quiet on this thread, but I love reading everyone's posts! My sister just had twins, and so between caring for them, my own health, school, and work, I've just been so busy by the end of the day. I just needed a break from accounting homework tonight! I just got to check out the updated list of everyone going, and am excited to see many of my fellow snowbirds are at POP. I'll definitely be rocking the LGMHs all over, and sneaking some onto the DBF as well. I just wanted to check in and let everyone know how much I love this thread. But now, back to Intro to Accounting.

Jenjolt.... we have done the early breakfast.... it is AMAZING walking down Main Street with almost NO ONE in your way.... you can actually get photos of just you with the castle in the background.... as far as Magic Kingdom... you arrive and go to the turnstills to the far right.... over by where you buy tickets and rent the wheel chairs.... there is a line there for breakfast... make sure you have your confirmation number and they usually let you in about 10-15 minutes early... we like the 8:05 time because we are then walking out the door just about 9am when the rope drops....

So snowbirds do you guys have stuff set up while you are down there? Can I be added to your thread. We are at the Boardwalk Villas from the 15th-to 19th and then the Dolphin the 20th and 21st!

Yes we do this all the time... we send down breakfast and snack stuff.... with 4 people trying to get ready in the morning it makes it easy to eat breakfast while others are getting ready..... with the exception of a character breakfast (which we do once a trip) we usually eat breakfast in the room.... its also nice to have the granola bars and fruit snacks just to take the edge off between a meal... we send it to the hotel with a note on the box to hold for guest Wendy. <<<<< arrival date....January 25

I saw someone else already answered this. Yep, just a "check-in" list before entering the park. Then a specific "waiting area" at the restaurant.

Good Evening Snowbirds!

I haven't been around much this afternoon...busy, busy, busy! SHARADOC - I am very interested in a grand gathering event - I tried to email AND PM you but my stupid computer is being stupid again. I will try again tomorrow!

The question floating around about what to wear to the airport is a very interesting one! We find ourselves with this predicament as well! Here is our situation and plan - We are actually driving to Minneapolis the day before our flight to Orlando. We will NOT be bringing our winter boots/jackets with us at all! We plan to layer a tshirt over a long sleeve/turtleneck shirt and then a fleece sweater/hoodie. Hats and mittens of course because those may prove to be useful while at WDW. We are parking our car at the hotel we are staying at the night before our flight so we will leave anything we don't want to haul to Florida in the trunk of the car! On return, the plan is to fetch the things from the car ASAP and bring them into our room so they have a chance to thaw before we need them the next day for the drive home!
