Happy Weekend everyone :goodvibes

They were calling for bad weather here so we didn't go to our camper :sad2: but we did get some things done around the house.....and I did get some shopping done ;) but the best news of the day is that tomorrow I am in the double digits :dance3:  :cheer2:

I kid you not!! I leave the 20th and you arrive on the 21st I believe and trust me I have been tempted more than once to extend my stay by a day...I'm really thinking about! Just cuz then I can do a whole day of Animal Kingdom and get to meet a few other snowbirds...I think trixie arrives on the 21st too...and for me that would be worth it!!

Yep, I arrive on the 21st too. Maybe you should stay an extra day! :thumbsup2

Haha! OK I think it's great that my description of the weather here in WI for today turned into what weather is like in January in Florida! That's great!

Last year it was 'warm' (80's, I LOVED IT!!!). Then the next few days it was decent in the 70's. Then suddenly it dropped to lower 60's....for the high!

Packing was actually ok for me. I'm very much a jeans and t-shirt girl...even when it's 101 out. I had a sweatshirt with me everyday, and if I didn't wear it, I would make a really cool fashion statement and wrap it around my waist:rotfl:

Hope everyone is having a great Saturday so far. I have to go help my 95 yr old grandma before I get yelled at again;) :upsidedow .

I almost have the first two parts of my PTR done just have to send to my proofreader and then I can post them up!! YAY!! I'm going to launch the actual week the hubby left me to go hunting over my birthday and anniversary (Birthday is Thursday and Anniversary is Friday) so it will be fitting LOL!

Would that proofreader be our very own Trixie?

If so, hurry up, Trixie, we want to read Jenjolt's PTR!

Shelly, I'm sure we can find somewhere to meet, even if it's for 5 minutes. I can't possibly get through this trip without meeting some of you, maybe we'll take a ride over to CBR and check it out!! I'm sure when it gets closer, we'll all figure it out!

Yes, I would love to meet. It'll be easy to spot me - I'll be the one looking intently at everyone to see if I spot any snowbirds. That means I'll also be the one who will have several CMs following her around not to mention a few security guards.

And, I'll be the non-cute dresser. I managed to snag some Disney Ts back in the summer but didn't think, when I bought them, that they really don't match what I own. So, if I can refrain from buying yet another Disney trip related item [yeah, right!], I'll be a strange hodgepodge of pink and yellow and khaki and blue.

I do opt for comfort over style, too - so bring on those khakis and tennis shoes - woo woo :rotfl: [hope I don't embarrass the fashionistas among us]

Oh hey- has anybody seen 'Fireproof' yet? I think we may get to go tomorrow!! Can't wait!! Flywheel and Facing the Giants were both awesome-if you haven't seen these yet go rent them. We really liked these movies.

I have heard really good reviews about that movie - let me know how you like it...

To those of you talking about second honeymoons - I heartily recommend a cruise...I know we're all planning fanatics, and that, I've heard, is essential for maximizing the Disney experience [especially for kids].

But on a cruise, once you decide where to go, what cruise line to use, how long - most of your work is done. You can then walk on that ship and be as active or idle as you'd like. You really are treated like royalty, so much so that once you get back home, reality is hard to swallow. But it's worth the adjustment period.

Okay, that's all from me tonight - -good night sweet snowbirds!

Good evening ladies,

I just had to share that i've made another payment on the trip. We now have 8 of our 9 days paid!!!!!!!!!!!!

 :cool1: :thumbsup2 :woohoo: :cheer2: :jumping1: :rainbow: :Pinkbounc :ccat: :donald: :dumbo: :sulley: :tigger: :mickeyjum pixiedust:

Yeah for you:cheer2: Isn't that a wonderful feeling!! We are waiting to see if a really good code comes out. I hate putting it on the credit card and then having to get it credited back. We put all the biggish stuff on the cc and then we get flyer miles!!!!

I absolutely LOVE wearing Crocs. I agree that they look strange but if you get a pair in your size, you'll see that they are VERY comfortable. I have bad knees and achilles problems, and Crocs are the only thing I can wear and walk for any length of time without pain. I believe that Crocs will make it okay for me at Disney World - I was afraid I might have to rent a scooter, but finding Crocs has really changed my life!

The colors are fun, and you can get Disney Crocs, which makes them extra fun!

The last 2 trips have been crocs for me. I usually only wear my nikes or new balance for lots of walking, but my crocs actually were the better pair!!!I think you'll be happy. I guess maybe your little feet don't get AS tires because the crocs are so much lighter than tennis shoes.

I have to send it to her first...LOL that is on me...I'm going to send it to her tomorrow sometime between church services.

Okay so I'm going to call Disney tomorrow and see how much it will cost me to stay another day and then check on the rental car and make sure my boss okays another day..and if all that can work out...then I will extend a day WOOT!! I would love to meet all you wonderfuls people

Oh yeah - seconding debbieandroo's cruise recommendation. Years ago when I was working too much, I planned a cruise where our pagers and cell phones couldn't reach us. We took the QE2 from NYC to London. It was wonderful!

Well, wish me luck! I'm the coordinator tomorrow of a potluck lunch at church and they're estimating between 200 and 300 people. Fun! I guess I will have to wear, ahem, "practical" shoes. Sigh...

I'm going to head down the New Balance store and find me a comfortable pair of walking shoes..I'm definitely a tennis shoe girl. I also know how cool it can get here in January (I'm not traveling as far south as some of you are LOL) so I won't be into wearing my flip flops much!!

When I'm at Disney, I definately go for comfort rather than style too. I'm also not a fan of crocs, but I did try some on today and they are super comfy. I have already decided to buy my DD some mary jane crocs in a few months. I had her try them on and she loved them! During the summer, you can find me in flip flops even when it's raining. However, I know that I can't wear them at the parks. I absolutely hate wearing socks and sneakers, so I might have to take the plunge and buy crocs. I never used to like Uggs, but now I wear them on a constant basis. Maybe crocs will grow on me too.

I just went to the croc website to take a look. They actually have heels :lmao: They have boots, maryjanes. I was just expecting the basic clog style.

I guess I should go try some crocs, just for the heck of it.

They will!!

If they are as comfy as everyone says, then they will grow on me for sure. I'm all about comfort! Does anyone know where you can get a good price on crocs? I love find things at discounted prices.

By the way, I obviously survived my night on the catamaran. It was so much fun and the view was gorgeous! The Buffalo skyline at night was so pretty! I actually wasn't as cold as I thought I would be. I hate being cold. The rain never came so that made me happy. :)

I own a pair of "crocs". I say it that way because they aren't name brand! I went to Payless Shoes (I think) and bought a pair (and paid less than half the price of Crocs). I had tried on actual Crocs and they fit wierd of me. But the cheap ones fit me great. They are actually really comfortable.

Hmm....I'll have to go scope out my payless stores around here. Thanks for the info!

No problem. I'm just such a fan of saving money anyway that I can.

And speaking of saving money, I have over $200 worth of change saved up! That's my spending money for disney!!!
