Awww..that is so awesome!!! I also remembered that for my Dual Enrollment class (11 students !!) we are throwing a birthday party for one of the students the Friday I get back. So I'm thinking I might try to find some Disney treats that will be okay for a day or two and give them out that day. Any suggestions???
I've heard about the Mickey Head rice crispy treats... those might be fun.
That's kind of what I think - a little jerky, but not bad. Nothing like Space Mtn, that thing is so rough I lose my breath sometimes.
That's exactly what I was thinking...
Has anyone done the kid's passports in Epcot? A friend of mine did and her kids thought it was pretty cool. I guess you buy the kit for about $12 and get stickers and go around to the countries and they stamp it and write in it. They went in December and CMs wrote in their native language their holiday greetings! how cute is that? Also goes to the educational aspects!!
I've heard that they'll stamp anything, so if you don't want to spend the money on the passport kit, you could probably make up your own for cheaper, or incorporate it into an Autograph book.
Love the photos--thanks, Shelly! I'll show my boys the light saber ones and they will be so excited!
When they announced the "What will you celebrate?" promotion, I told my family about the gift card I was going to get on my birthday (we already have park tickets). DS8 (who likes everything to be fair) wanted to know if we were going to split that five ways

, or if the baby would get a smaller share since she's so little!
I thought you could also get the potato head parts at the store in Toontown where you wait to see the characters. I thought I remembered seeing them there...but that was nearly five years ago...

You do NOT have to buy the potato head there--if you already have one, you can fit that many more parts into your box!
I'd also like to get a sweatshirt and a Christmas tree ornament! I need to start writing this stuff down.
Haha... for our Family Trip in May/June we're trying to have our days spanning over 2 people's birthday's. We'll probably go for the two youngest though, so we won't have to deal with them feeling left out. However, I have a feeling my little brother will probably go for the FastPass badge, because not waiting in line would appeal to him. My sister could go either way... she doesn't like shopping, so I don't think she'd want the gift card, but she doesn't like rides either... If it was my birthday, I would probably put it towards dinner with everybody, course my birthday is in value season, so ride lines aren't as big of an issue...
WOOT WOOT!

This weekend is going to be sooo long!
Let's all just have a party - For no reason! It's Thursday! Why not!
I ordered it for my girls! I think it looks great! It has a page or two for each part of each park, places for pictures, autographs, stickers, personal stories, etc. It is great! Very colourful! I don't think we will carry it around the parks with us but use it as part of our "winding down" time at night to record stuff about our days etc! I would say it would appropriate for any child able to read and write (even with a bit of help) and it would be fine for up to say age 12-13 even!
Of course you have a girlie room! With a hunter husband you NEED a girlie room! Pink and pretty and NO ANIMAL PARTS!
Instead of having a single room that's a girlie room... I'll probably give Logan his own room for his army/hunting/fishing gear. Otherwise, it will be strewn all over the house... we'll see how it pans out though...
I believe that the potato head stuff is in Toontown (at least I think it was there last time). You're right - that store is big - not as big as World of Disney, but nonetheless it's a large store. What I liked about it is it didn't seem as "crowded" as the WOD store can seem.
That store holds a soft spot in my heart... When I went on my last trip I was trying to find the perfect gift for Logan. I was having a really hard time, because I didn't want to get him anything too kiddie, though he probably would have been ok with that, so I decided that I wanted to get him a stuffed animal of his favorite character. I narrowed it down to either Mater or Dumbo, but was having a hard time finding either. They did have like a remote control or windup Mater, but I didn't really want to get that for him, and I couldn't find Dumbo anywhere.
Well, during our trip we were all in the Magic Kingdom, and I'm not sure exactly what happened (I think everybody else wanted to ride some ride that we had already ridden, or wanted food or something), but Adam needed someone to escort him to Toontown (he was only 9, so we all took turns escorting him) He was collecting a different coin necklace from every park, and I think he was having trouble finding one in the Magic Kingdom, he had looked in all of the Lands except Toontown. Well, we hurried off to Toontown and found that GIANT store... and right inside the entrance was a shelf of Dumbo dolls, and pushed in the back corner of the bottom shelf was the last one. I snatched it up, and was so thrilled with myself for finding it.
(P.S. Logan absolutely adores it, and sleeps... er... I mean looks at it every night)
Ok, this is why I'm so excited! The UPS man dropped off a Disney box to my front door. Off course, my DD saw it and wanted to know who it was for. I said it was for me, but I didn't know what it was (yeah right!). So, I locked myself in my room and took some pics!
I'm one happy Disney-loving chick right now! Don't worry, my back pack with have a LGMH on it before I leave on my trip!
YAY! I love it when fun packages come in the mail. Right now I'm having all my fun packages sent to my Mom's house though, so I haven't actually gotten to open anything, because she does it for me...
See now I forgot the reason why I signed in.
It's time to throw a party ladies because.....
I'm offically graduating from college!!!!!!
My degree audit was approved this afternoon!!!!
:
::sigh:: That feels so much better.
YAY! What glorious news... I can see the end as well... it's (excuse me for singing Disney) "Just around the riverbeeeend!"
Maggied: I'm so sorry about your daughter. I hope it's a fast healing injury.
Peaches: I'm glad your parents are working it out. My parents went through counseling a few years ago. They're still together... but I don't think they've worked out their issues.

I think they've just kind of resigned to staying together, and I really wish they would go back to counseling and really try to work out their issues, because it really sucks for them. I honestly think that if they would both just put a little more effort into it, then they would realize that if they're going to stay married they might as well like each other.
I'm very happy that your parents are really trying to work it out. I think that counseling can really work if both people are committed to the relationship, and really want to learn how to make their relationship better.
I hate it when marriages fall apart... I really love it when people work it out, and remember why they got married in the first place.
