I love them more than anything but it always makes me laugh when people say they want twins

I am the proud mom of twin Girls...they are now 12 years old (anyone want an almost 18 year old????)

84 days for me

I need this vacation more than anyone could ever know!

Hey, Peeps!

I'm back! Well, at least I'm not in meetings all day again today! I had to teach English in the West Bank, but here I am! I'm off to a friend's son's b-day party with the entire fam...well, Scot's working, but he'll meet us there. Then tonight NOTHING! Finally! Last night the woman who works for our church and cleans houses had to stay overnight. She babysat for us while we were finishing up our meeting. And she was worried she wouldn't find a taxi to take her back home so late. So, she stayed over. It was unexpected, but she's really sweet and I always enjoy having her. She doesn't speak a word of English, so it's great practice for me! And she has a pretty crappy life, so I always try to help her when I can.

Other than that, I'm scrapping, stalking the code threads, and waiting. I don't do waiting so well! I read that someone talked to their AAA agent who said there is definitely a code coming out next week for January!

What's the question of the day? I did skim through to try to keep caught up! Miss you all!

We like WPE for a CS lunch. We have gone there on the last 2 trips. Last time DH had the Meatball Pizza and I had the BBQ Chicken Quesadilla. Very good. WPE is also where we met up with some of my DIS friends in May, so I have great memories of the place! We will probably end up eating there again in January, as DTD doesn't have too many other good CS meal options.

I think my other problem is my DH's job loss due to a massive layoff in the auto industry. He has found another job but only at 40% of the pay we were use to him bringing home. That has cut into our Disney planning. As well, our Canadian $ has hit a nose dive. Our vacation is now even more $$ than we had planned. I wanted to cut back but DH said we made a promise to the children and to go and enjoy. (DH is a Disney fan, several childhood vacations there)

I think we are all waiting and hoping all economies get back to normal sooner than later.

I definitely understand! My husband is also in the auto industry. He took a decent pay cut two years ago- right after we found out we were expecting our second child- great timing! He decided to work for himself and that hasn't been going as well as planned due to the economy so now he's back to working for a different dealership starting Nov. 1st. We're all hoping the economy will turn for the better very soon. But we aren't going to put vacation and precious family time on hold because of it. We probably should be saving this money rather than spending it on Disney but we would rather enjoy a week of fun with our loved ones.


Can't hurt to try and call Disney about it! Thanks!

She said the same thing last year. I'm sure it's probably due to contracts, etc, but I imagine that gives her a pretty busy December!

Glad to hear it's was the same story as last year- doesn't leave much time for us Snowbirds to plan though. I guess they don't realize that most of us are OCD! (Obsessive Complusive Disney)

Good morning Snowbirds!

I sure hope everybody that is sick is feeling better soon. Better now than January though. . . That is one of my major concerns about going in January - being sick. That and a flight delay due to snow. Okay, I can't think about those things. . .

On to happier thoughts ~

Congrats to all that are hitting the 3 month and under mark!!

So I've been thinking about the Menu of the Day and was thinking that some Snowbirds are getting the CS DDP so I think I will start posting CS restaurants too.

Think happy thoughts!!! No snow or illnesses in January. Starting January 1st, I'm going to scrub out house 3X a day to disinfect the germs, buy large quantities of OJ, and make chicken noodle soup every night til we leave. I'll also force my kids to eat their veggies, and take vitamins and wash their hands every minute to avoid getting sick for Disney. Is that a little too much?

Thanks for posting CS menus! We're going the QSDDP route!

YEA for Under 3 Months!

We enjoyed WPE on our last visit (2004). But I've heard such great things about Earl of Sandwich that I thought we'd give that a try this time. Or DH might want to try the CS place associated with Raglan Road (Cooke's?). Does anyone have any input on either of those?

That is my understanding too - but only for fraternal twins (because you have to have two eggs released which is unusual). The risk increases as you age too.

Identical twins are, well, to put it bluntly, a freak of nature! (In the nicest way possible!!!) There are no risk factors for it - it just happens.

We went high-tech, so we knew what we were getting into...

That's my biology lesson for the morning!

Not by anything we did when it was all said and done, we ended up with two beautiful, wonderful little girls!


My oldest was a twin too, and I lost her twin when I was 3 months pregnant

I am a good old fashioned run in the family twins mommy! It runs in my fathers side of the family and it skips a generation so if my boys have girls they most likely will have twins! Very complicated!

The funny thing is we don't speak to my fathers family so when I found out I was having twins my father and grandmother starting thinking about it and said "oh yeah you are next in line for twins!" THANKS it would have been nice to know what I was getting my self into Thanks ok I wouldn't change it for the world!
