Hey Carrie, as you are a PA theme park junkie, have you ever been to Knobles near Danville? We use to go there all the time, I love it! It was our inbetween Disney trips park when I was younger.

Been there? I practically lived there!:lmao: Knoebels is about 10 minutes from the town where I grew up, so we were there a lot and then I worked there too. It's a great park! Free parking and free admission. And delicious food! And one of the top 10 wooden roller coasters in the US! And a highly rated dark ride. Fun! I can't wait to get back to Knoebels!:thumbsup2

YAY for Knoebels!!!! That's so funny that you worked there! Well have you heard that they added a new coaster? Now they have two of top 10! I love them both. Phoneix was the first roller coaster I went on and enjoyed! It totally started a love affair lol! They have the best food too! What I wouldn't give for one of those crispy waffle things they make right now.

I once heard that the rocket they built the potato sack ride into was the rocket that stood outside of Disneyland's Tomorrowland originally. Never have been able to confirm that one....:confused3

Alrighty everyone, I'm off to a busy night of rehearsals!
Have a great night!

Just changed our trip from December to January so I could join this thread!!
Ok, well honestly, that was not the reason! But I am glad to see so many excited families ready to go like we are. We changed our plans because Dec 7-11th seems to be super crowded. So I am hoping the weather will be good for us in January and I am sure the crowds will be fairly low compared to December!

  :cheer2: WELCOME :cheer2:   You have come to the right place for party and excitement we are definitely an active bunch LOL!!!

Meanwhile, I had a good (unrelated) idea for Disney marketing..."Discounts Your Way"! They could offer your choice of a combination of room discounts (varying based on what other options you chose), ticket upgrades, and free or reduced-price dining plans. Think I can convince them? ;) For example, we already have park tickets and aren't that interested in the dining plan, so we'd take a maximum room discount. (I'd love to stay at the Poly, where we stayed when I was little, but calculated that I'd need a 67% discount to make it comparable to SOG  ) Other people might choose a smaller room discount and free hopper upgrades, or whatever. What do you think?

I LOVE IT. Then it really could be "MY WAY." They could have a sliding scale type of thing - 40% room discount on one end, free regular dining on the other. Somewhere in the middle you could have free CS dining, hopper and water park upgrades, maybe even a smaller snack/meal plan. If they offer free dining in January, I don't think we'll take advantage of it because we are not big eaters on vacation, so we would rather stick with our little AAA room discount. We wouldn't even do free hopper upgrades, since that's also less than our room discount.

Just needed to post this for all my PA, South Jersey and DE Snowbirds:

:cheer2: Tonight's the night - see ya in the World Series!!!!! :cheer2:

Hey Trixie!

I'm usually not an evening DISer, but DH took DS9 to soccer and DS7 and I did not go because it is raining. So I thought I'd check in and see what was going on here. . . . . I see not too much! :rotfl:

Maybe it's time to list the top 10 Snowbird posters! Haven't done that in awhile.

Have you been thinking about making changes to your ADR's???

I am pretty set with ours. I just wish we were trying more new ones. We are doing 3 that we have already been to, and 3 new places.

I'm really questioning Le Chefs de France. Everything looks really wet! As in, too much sauce. I'm thinking about changing it for Raglan Road if it can work in the schedule, which of course I need to revisit again, too.

The other one I'm not sure about is Chef Mickey's. We're doing a few other character meals and I don't know if we need another one. :confused3

Does anyone know if Tutto Italia is still going to be open in January?

Hey everyone!

Well, I had more testing at the doctor's office today, regarding my upcoming surgery and the verdict is....

.....

.....

I need an MRI!

Then, the MRI will hopefully tell the doctor what kind of surgery I need. :confused3 Don't get me wrong, I don't mind my doctor being thorough but it wasn't a fun test today! The MRI (even being in a loud clausterphobic tube for nearly half an hour) will be a piece of cake by comparison. So, in another two weeks, I'll know what kind of surgery I'll be having, but the doctor's thinking it'll be the more invasive of the options. Guess we'll see - and hope she'e wrong! Either way, I'll be all healthy for Disney, so that's cool. ;)

Long day, though!

Can't help you out there Trixie. Never been to Le Chefs de France, Raglan Road, or Tutto Italia. . . There's really nothing there for my picky kids!

I would keep Chef Mickey's though, it's so much fun! :goodvibes

I sure hope everything works out for you. Keep us posted.

Well that just stinks, doesn't it? :headache: So was today a waste, or did she get some benefit out of your misery?
