To those who have gone in January before, are parks with EMH crowded or ok? Do you avoid the parks with EMH or do you go and to which one?

Anyone have any experience with codes at Deluxe resorts that time of year? Are there some resorts that don't get codes?

So now the waiting starts...and hopefully not for too long!!

As far as CAA rates, I was just in their office last week asking for rates on packages, and the agent couldn't access any 2008 rates. She called back and told me the rates should be out the first week of August, but didn't give an exact date. She also said that there were no discounts available as they work with DTC (??) I was a bit confused about that but didn't question her. I just wonder why anyone would book through them rather than doing it themselves on line....no perks at all??? Hmmmmmmmmmm.....

Hubby and I are planning our "honey16thanniversarymoon" starting January 27. C'mon Disney..put me outta my misery!!!

Second...I'm kinda sad that 50's Prime Time and Tony's will be closed for refurbishment in Jan (the whole month). Anyone else feel the same way? I LOVE those places! What a damper!

I am! I really wanted to try Tony's. My brother's family ate there and we headed off to Peco's Bills that day.


So once the rates are released and you have a room only ressie do you need to call ASAP to get the pkg?

I am also sad about the restaurants being closed. I wanted to try Tony's this trip. However, as long as Splash Mountain isn't down this January, I'll be happy. It was down our last 2 trips in January ('06 & '07). I have my fingers crossed that this year, it will not be down.

50's Prime Time is one of my kids' favorites. I bet that will make the Sci-fi reservations even harder to get. We usually go in Jan. also, and just like a previous poster mentioned...Splash Mountain had better not be closed. We have also been there the last 2 January's, and THAT IS MY FAVORITE RIDE!!!

50s is open part of the month -- I have ADRs for Jan. 13. I believe I heard it was closing around the 20th -- but I'm not positive about that. Good luck!!

We have gone 3 times in January, including this year. Crowds have seem to increase lately, but very manageable. EMH is always a good time to go...especially at night. Try to avoid those parks during the middle of the day. No matter what you will have fun.

We got the park hopper/water park option for an upgrade this year...I assume it will be the same next year.

My daughter and I are planning January 3-10 and are keeping an eye on the discounts. We love the Epcot/MGM area location; and the Boardwalk, too. Keeping our fingers crossed that their discounts come out soon!

I didn't know 50's Prime Time is closed. What a bummer hopefully it will reopen before we leave.

Woohoo!!! I just booked a family suite!!! We've never stayed in one but they look so cute! I was torn between there and GF. Saving the extra money for another trip won out. I hope it's nice. Anyway- I hope we get a code so it is even cheaper!!!
