For our Halloween Cruise DIS Meet, we met in the Promenade Lounge on Deck 3. There were probably 35-40 of us, including the kiddos, and we had our group photo taken there on the stage. It worked out pretty well.
And for first time cruisers... we found that we didn't need some items that people put on the list of "must haves", like duct tape or masking tape, bungie cords, alarm clocks, extra hangers, over the door shoe organizers... so don't go crazy overthinking and overpacking. We found the staterooms plenty big with plenty of places to put things, all the doors/drawers closed (and stayed closed) as they should, even through a pretty rough storm. If things in your room don't work, call guest services and they'll fix it! Need extra hangers? Call and they'll bring them! They want you to be HAPPY!
Some things we were glad we brought were ziplock bags for shells and wet bathing suites the last day, good highlighters to note what not to miss on the Navigators each day, and a spiral notebook to leave notes to each other in the stateroom and to journal in each day. We found that some days, we and our son were passing like ships in the night and the notes to each other about where we were headed were fun and informational.
So, seasoned cruisers, what do y'all think about the list of "must haves"?
New cruisers, any questions about what stuff you really need?
Thought it'd be a fun information conversation!
Looking forward to cruising in the sunshine in January,
Sherry

.....got the airline tickets today, almost $300.00 less
than the last time we went! Same airline, same schedule, go figure.
What airline? We are waiting for southwest to open up.
the more the merrier! Will add your family to the list
Since it is a Saturday, I figured, what the heck, might as well make it an extra long trip. Haven't quite decided on what we'll do that Saturday either...maybe make a trip to Seaworld. So, I have lots of planning to do yet; transportation, hotels, sights, etc. Decisions, decisions....
So if anyone has any ideas/suggestions/recommendations on anything, let me know!
and as of now we are 80 strong

should be all set by the end of August. If I think that way, and it happens sooner, I will be even happier!!!
I just have kindof planned everything around the time frame of when I asked her, told all the people who are in our group, and are just awaiting the final forms to fill in what flowers we want, what music we want, what type of booze we want....
I am on the dis board!!!!
Thanks,
