Agree!! We hope to see Saving Mr. Banks and Frozen (3D if we can). I saw Frozen 3D and Thor on the Dream last month and they were both great. If you haven't already heard/read - Frozen is amazing!!! :)

We are getting closer now!! :cool1:

Hope everyone is warm, wherever you are!

Hello, everyone! We will be on this cruise also and are SO excited! We have been on five cruises, but this is our first Disney cruise. It will be me (Jennifer), my husband (Lorne) our 8 year old daughter (Natalie) and our 1 year old daughter (Lucy).
I booked this cruise last March and we surprised our oldest daughter on Christmas. I have not done all the neurotic pre-planning for this cruise because I was being so secretive about it. I am feeling a little unprepared with only two weeks to go!
Because of the short amount of time left and already feeling a little stressed about getting things ready, I don't think we will be participating in the Fish Extender exchange. It sounds like a lot of fun, though!
My 8 year old (Natalie) loves to meet new people and would be so excited to have someone she "knew" be in the kids club with her. If anyone has a daughter around that age, let me know.
If anyone has tips about cruising with a 13 month old (I am a little nervous - Natalie didn't go on her first cruise until she was three years old) I would love to hear them.
I am sorry I didn't find this group sooner!

I have a soon to be 8 yr old daughter, Adrianna. Her birthday is this week. :) She loves making friends.

We saw Frozen Thanksgiving week on the Fantasy. It was a good movie-wouldn't mind seeing it again.

We decided to see Saving Mr. Banks while the kids were on Winter Break. With it being over a 2 hour movie, plus this only being a 3 night cruise, we didn't want to risk missing it. Each time we have gone on a cruise with the intention of watching a movie, the times they were playing always conflicted with something else. It was an excellent movie!

7" so snow so far today and it is still coming down here in Northwest Ohio. Sub-zero temps on the way next for us. Cannot wait for next Wednesday to get here as that is when we step on our plane for much warmer weather!! Cannot wait for this cruise! DW has already started packing.

Holy cow ... 11 days!! Now that the kids are back in school, I need to spend every minute getting ready! :)

It seems like there are a few "pre-teen" girls in this group. Are any of them dressing up for dinner? I was going to attempt to make my 11-year-old a simple Anna dress and she has a Belle costume ... Will she feel silly wearing them?

Thanks!
Amy

First time cruising with Disney, used to Royal Caribbean. We booked very late (Dec 31) so our "Boarding time" is 1:30-2. Is that SET? Or if we show up at 10:30 can we get checked in and get in line to board? We know we won't be first since we aren't platinum or gold level people, but will we be able to board before 1:30? This seems LATE! Don't know if we can even hold our little ones from lunch that late! Thanks for any help!

Welcome! I know the "boarding time" is a little confusing :) Technically you didn't pick a boarding time, you picked a port arrival time (PAT). They do this so folks don't all show up at one time, if possible. It's not typically enforced meaning if you have a later PAT you can show up earlier and will be allowed in.

Your actual boarding time is indeed tied to your port arrival time that you chose and I realize you chose the earliest one you could since you booked later. You will be given a small card once you actually check in at the desk at the port with your boarding number on it. They start calling by numbers with Concierge and Platinum first and it does go quickly. If they start boarding around 11:30am then I'd estimate by 12:30pm they'd be at "open boarding" so anyone can board.

On my last cruise (12/5 on the Dream) my friend and I booked three weeks from sail date and had a PAT of 11:30am (and they start at 10:30am for the Dream/Fantasy) and we had boarding #10 when we checked in. Not first on the ship, but not too long to wait either.

You'll have a great time :)

We live outside Lorain, Ohio.. Looking forward to getting away from this weather if just for a few days.. I was worried about getting flight out with all these cancellations but looks like weather going to clear up soon.

I have been worried about our flight out of Detroit next week as well but this weekend it is supposed to RAIN, go figure. Typical Ohio weather, if you do not like it wait 5 minutes and it will change!

I'm also a little concerned about our flight next Thu (coming in the night before) since it originates in Milwaukee and then Baltimore before getting us in RDU (we drive there so take Southwest). The flights the next morning are completely sold out and it would take 11 hours min to drive there and we'd have to do overnight so no way - so praying the weather co-operates even if it means a later night arrival and no cancellations!

I hope everyone else also has a worry free travel day!

Some folks don't tend to be as dressy on the shorter cruises, but we will. I think my 16 yr old girls will be dressing up in quite formal dresses. I am bringing my tiara! This is the best time to get your glam on. No rules!

If anyone is still looking to make reservations for brunch at Palo I was just able to make reservations for us!! The website showed availability for both the 10:00 AM seating and the noon seating. Not sure if this will fill up or if I took the only open spots for 10:00 so good luck.

One week until we fly out for warmer Florida weather. Can't wait. :cool1: :beach:
