Wow, things are really heating up here while I was away. Boy, busy busy busy but now we can turn our full attention to our upcoming cruise. My daughter, who is 9, would love to be a pen pal with some other girls around that age. She loves to go to the clubs and pool and also would love to have some friends on the boat. So, if anyone is interested or want some other pen pals, you can reach me here or at bytor01@aol.com to get in touch with her.

This will be our fourth cruise (3rd on the Magic, with our last being on the Wonder this past August). So, my daughter is very knowledgable to that first time cruiser and can enjoy the ship with the other Castaway Club members.

She has a twin brother, who I don't know if he would want a pen pal because he usually is very outgoing, much more than his sister, and would probably want to make his own buddies on the ship.

We were able to get all our reservations for the Palo brunch and dinner. We just love that place. We also have a couples massage and my wife has a facial, which she has done before and loves. I think someone here, while I was reading, got a massage for her husband in the cabanas. I can tell you this was very relaxing and fun. Nice gift.

My kids would love the scavanger hunt, so you can count them in. As for the fish extender, I would say we have to bow out but we shall see.

It looks like this cruise may be sold out. I checked on the DCL site and there is nothing available. But the best thing is that it doesn't matter because you always seem like the boat is half full an dit never seems crowded.

Hi - One more week for those interested in participating in the Fish Extender group to signup.

So far we have about 15 cabins participating: 28+ adults, 22+ kids - 10 boys, 12 girls. There are a few that I haven't heard from confirming they still want to participate, so there might be a few changes.

If you would like to be added to the list, just let me know - I'll then send you a note requesting some additional information. When the list is finalized I'll send everyone more information about the participants along with a map of the ship with participant cabin locations.

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. Can't believe we are only 50 days to go on the cruise.

What is everyone doing or staying pre-cruise? We are flying in to MCO and staying at the Hyatt right there in the airport. We have done this on 2 out of the 3 DCL cruises. The Hyatt is real nice and I get a great price for the government rate. I pay the fee with a gift card I get through some member privileges so it really only costs me about $8.00 to stay there for the night. They take care of the baggage and transport it with DCL and we sign in and hope on the DCL bus right outside. We usually can get to the port real early which I like.

We are all taking Dinsey transportation. Not sure how early we will get up though. We live Moutain time, my parents Pacific time.

You should definitely try to adjust the rate. We were down in August (after spending 4 days in WDW and 4 days on the Wonder). On the way back to catch our plane I went to the desk and made the reservation. We are paying $108.00 total. Pretty good for there, especially when the best available rate is $170.00- $214.00.

The buses go out constantly. I think the earliest one leaves around 9am or so, maybe a little later. I know we usually hop on the second bus and leave around 9:30am. That gets us to the port around 10:15-10:30. Which is a good time to get there.

We are flying down Thursday morning. We'll get our rental car, drive down to the port, stop at WalMart and a Liquor store and are staying at the Residencee Inn. On Friday we plan to spend the day at Kennedy Space Center. Saturday the family will be dropped off at the port, dad will return the rental car and take the shuttle back to meet up with everyone.

We are all beginning to get so excited about this cruise. We are actually doing our first B2B cruise and will already be on board beginning January 8th.

This will be our 5th disney cruise. Moving on up in the Castaway club!

We plan on participating in the FE exchange and maybe the scavenger hunt (depends on the details our location between cruises).

Looks like GTY rooms are starting to be assigned today, let the excitement begin!

We are flying in Friday night and staying at the airport Hyatt then hired a car service with another family that is going with us that will drop off us Saturday at the ship -cant wait hope for some warm weather!

It's been a hectic couple of weeks but when things get to be a bit much, I remember that we'll all be sailing in the warm sunshine on a lovely ship with great service and time for relaxation and lots of fun very, very soon. Can't wait!!!

I'll put together a list soon for people who would like the Scavenger Hunt sheets. I'll look through posts and see who's expressed an interest.

Are we planning an organized meet of any kind? Maybe for the kids if the adults aren't interested in meeting? I'd be willing to work on that if others would like to do that. Maybe all the kids that are pen pals will plan their own thing.
