Hi guys... Finally have gotten caught up with the pages I've missed. I haven't been on in a while... Quite frankly, I thought I was going to have to cancel, and so I wasn't posting trying to keep from get excited about the cruise and then to only be disappointed. But, I've decided we are still going, and it is still a surprise for everyone here at my house.

I've got to plan the excursions and book a hotel for Jan 13th, and figure out the transportation to and from the port... Any suggestions would be appreciated.

If in EST, it was 12 midnight to book Palo, excursions, etc. and 3am to do online check-in and choose port arrival time. I did it on the 16th, and they opened up exactly on time. My only issue was trying to check-in for 3 rooms, which had to be set up as "linked" but still as separate reservations. I got locked out after doing the first one, and then had to wait an hour in between to finish subsequent ones. That was a bummer. I didn't get to bed until after 5:15am. Good luck tonight! I hear from reading the DISboards that port arrival time is connected to getting your boarding numbers, so the earlier arrival time, the better chance of getting on the ship earlier.

I'm able to book activitites (dining and excursions), but can't figure out how to register my kids for the kids' clubs.....And it won't let me "check in".

Any luck for you yet?

I couldn't check in either, but if you scroll down a ways you can register the kids and then you can add all your activities and babysitting. Whew, I was able to get that part at least! I don't get why I can't actually check in or pick a check in time?! Going to bed...

Thanks, I figured it out right after I posted.....Still can't check in though. I read somewhere else that you can't start online check in till 3:00am.

Yes, it is 3 am to check in. I just finished my reservations. For those that signed up for the Doubloon tour was there only the one time at 8 am that goes out or was there a later one that was all booked? Got my Palo brunch rese as well. Debating on a massage still for hubby and me. Will have to talk to him about that tomorrow and perhaps book something.

Stephanie- glad to hear that you are still able to go! Are you surprising the family at christmas time or right before leaving? What are you planning on doing? I am doing a surprise for our 5 yo son for Christmas and am going to do a scavenger hunt of some sort for him.
I am staying at the country inn and suites on the 13th. It was cheaper for the 3 of us to rent a car from priceling at $50 for the night than to take the dis bus and I can stop at the store and pick up a few things.

I was able to book brunch, but no high tea. Also booked parasailing for my BIL and daughter at CC, as well as the Sting Ray Adventure for DH, BIL, and 4 of the kids.

We're doing Bernard's private tour in St. Martin. And for St. Thomas we may walk to Paradise Point, then take a taxi to Magen's Beach. Nothing specific planned.

The Doubloon Tour looks like a lot of fun......Hope you enjoy it.

We're also doing a scavenger hunt! But it's not happening till New Year's Eve as it's not only for my kids, but my sister's. Also, we'll be at WDW, SeaWorld, and US/IOA (first time ever to US/IOA) over Christmas.

I am fading fast and do not think I will wait up til 3. Hoping that if I go to sleep and maybe my internal clock will wake me and if not I will be up around 5;30. I have a full day at work tomorrow and trick or treating tomorrow night.
What day are you all doing brunch? I booked ours I thing for Thursday at 10;30.
That is right I remember you saying you have 11 doing the private bernards tour. That will be fun as well will the scavenger hunt with your ext. family on NY day. I have started in my mind to plan some of the items to hide. I got a mickey mouse shirt for him. He wants this mickey mouse gutar doll for Christmas and am contemplating on buying that but will see. Better get cracking on confirming things.

They won't let me book Palo because I'm using Google Chrome. I can't use Explorer on my system because it was infected with a virus and firefox is way too slow besides I don't have enough room in my puter to download it. Why does everything have to seem so difficult!

Is there anything I can do to help....I know we don't know each other, but if you'd like, I'll book it for you (I'd need your info though). Or I can first tell you what's available, to see if they have the date/time you're wanting? Then we could go from there.

"High Tea" is all booked up, looks like there's still some brunches available, but scarce. Seems dinner is still the most available.....

It is going to be their Christmas surprise... I kind of like the scavenger hunt thing. My mom did that for me one year for a gift.

Hello fellow DISers. I hope everyone was able to book what they wanted. Remember you can also make ressies for palo when you board. I think it opens at 1:30.

For those who saw snow in October, I hope you weren't snowed in for too long. My brother won't get his power back until Wednesday or Thursday. I hope that isn't the case for you guys.

For those planning on dropping an item off for autographs, I got the perfect item. I found it at our Disney outlet store, a large vinylmation. I think it is like 9 inches tall and it is blank! I am so excited about it. I might have to fight my son for it!

Hi everyone-sorry I haven't replied to anyone the past few days-there's no technology around here. Today the public library got their wireless up and running so I am checking email and such for a bit.
It's a mess around here. 70% of our town still has no power (probably until Thursday or Friday), and with the few who do (us-yay! we've offered our house to many friends but they don't want to leave their houses in case pipes burst, etc) internet and cable will be gone for a while. No connections to the outside world unless you listen to the radio or go to the library, so here I am with 2 of my kids (second snow day already). Clean up is going to be awful. I hate looking outside at all the beautiful trees that are down or broken. So sad... Lines for gas are loooong (people using generators)....This too shall pass

So anyway, I figured I'd check in and say hi. I hope everyone got all checked in and got ressies for what you wanted. At some point this week I'll come back to the library and get another DISfix, lol.
