If any upgrades happen at the port I would suggest that we hand out a 'Room Upgrade' slip along with our FE gifts. I don't plan on upgrading unless it's for FREEEEEE. So if you do pay for an upgrade just let everyone know with a note.
Is everyone doing door magnets also? That way we don't do any accidental deliveries. =)

Because people deliver fish extender gifts at various times, I'm not sure this would be a great solution.

What worked well on our December cruise was we had a very brief (like 15 minute) DIS board meet in the Promenade Lounge at 3pm on the 1st day. We asked all the Fish Extender participants to be sure to attend so we could communicate any room changes from port upgrades, by having those people who upgraded (like we did) stand up and give their screen name, old room number and new room number. We also asked everyone else from the meet thread to attend as well, so we could meet each other, put a face to a screen name, and take a group picture. I think we were done by 3:15 or so, in plenty of time to get back to your room to prepare for the safety drill.

I don't remember any plan for a meet, but I'd like to propose one at 3pm on embarkation day in the Promenade Lounge if there is enough interest in it.

Other cruises have also held a mini-meet in the Terminal before boarding, but those were mainly to pick up wristbands or other things we ordered as a group before the cruise, but that's a little harder to coordinate since people arrive and board at various times.

On some cruises, the fish extender coordinator (Nat in this case) had a white board or other list on their door or fish extender for people to post updates to their room number. But of course that only works if Nat doesn't upgrade!

Hope everyone had a great Christmas!!! My girls were totally surprised on Christmas!! So now I can finally get out the suitcases!! It is FREEZING here in NJ & I can't get outta here fast enough!

Sorry I am being a party pooper on the fish extenders. Just has been a busy time for us with Christmas and Birthdays & parties going on. I didnt want to add too much to my list. It does sound fun, maybe next time I can get in on it.

I had a very hard time getting to sleep last night thinking of the cruise, all the fun waiting for us and the ocean. I also worked on my FE gifts and that was a lot of fun. Still haven't told my DD yet. I plan to have balloons in a wrapped box on New Year's Eve.

My fiance and I will be on the cruise for our Honeymoon. She has no Idea what we are doing and it will be a surpise for her until we get to the airport.

Who is dressing up for formal night? We weren't going to at first, but I think we changed our minds. Now we're going to.

I will be wearing a tux, and my DW will be dressing to match. Gotta use the tux when I can LOL

We will be dressed up for the most part... Dh doesn't own a suit and I'm not overly dressy myself, but he is wearing black dress pants, white shirt, tie, and dress shoes (all of which we had to buy, lol) I am wearing a short fancy dress and the girls will be in their fancy holiday dresses, tights, and dress shoes. Dressing up for dh is khakis, polo, and loafers, and I'm a sundress kind of girl. But, I think it will be fun.

Is anyone doing anything for Pirate night? We have costumes for the kids, but so far nothing for ourselves. We really didn't have the money to put in to it around the holidays.

We are almost done the FE gifts, they aren't overly creative, but I think they will be enjoyed none the less.

We told our girls christmas morning... We had decorated a poster board with pics of the ship, dolphins, and our disney hotel stuff, so they picked up on it right away and pretty excited. We got the stuffed mickey sailor from macys and had him "holding" the poster, and put around it some of the new disney tshirts we got them as well as their new swimsuits and cover ups. My 4 yr old asked "How long?" and when I said 2 weeks, she was thinking it was so long to wait... Main reason why we didn't tell them months ago, lol.

I am really hoping the weather will be decent and warm enough to dock / swim at CC... It was freezing today!!

Of course, this morning, the SUV we will be making the long drive in, wouldn't start... Luckily, dh thinks it is just the battery terminal, and after he replaced that everything seems to be in working order, but we will be keeping a close eye on it the next week and a half. We will be leaving next friday evening, so I'm glad it happened now and not after we were out on the road.

This is our first cruise. Santa left a note telling us about the cruise plus the DVD of the cruise line. We are so excited!!!!

I picked up the cruise documents/WDW documents today. Starting to feel real and I am very excited. I hope to get the door magnets done, but I do nothink we will be able to get the FE stuff done in time. I am still putting together baskets for the hotel rooms blocked for the wedding. Too much to do and too little time with only 11 days til the Big one.

Hi again everyone,

The countdown is on! Our family is heading south exactly one week from today! I received notification that my FE is in the mail and will arrive before we leave! Thanks to gradysmommy on ebay for the quick turn around. Gifts are on their way too! Crossing my fingers. I hope everyone has an exciting and safe evening tonight. Our family is going skating in the afternoon and then off to a New Year's eve party.

We will also try our best to meet up with everyone at 3pm - will there be a sign posted at the meeting place?

Poll results are still coming in. BUT you have to keep in mind that everyone who answered January on the poll may have been on the same cruise.
I've heard the that the odds of NOT making it to CC are very low. So don't stress over something that none of us can control. We'll have fun on the boat no matter what!

It's more of a running joke with my family now. I would love to go to CC! And I REALLY excited to go on a four day cruise and even more excited that my parents are going on their first cruise!
It's going to be a good time even if we stay on the boat for the entire cruise. I LOVE DCL!

Happy New Year Everyone. I'm a little under the weather....I have an infection on my leg and cellulitus in my ear. I'm on antibiotics and ear drops. BUT I'm still going on this trip. I'm not contageous so I'm safe. I'll just take my meds and take it easy onboard. This was going to be a very leisurely trip for us.....not many activities planned. So it's all good.

Since I can't go in the water with my leg, we switched our Atlantis excursion to a wine and cheese pairing at a hotel in Nassau. That day is DH's birthday so we wanted to do something special. Our first date was a wine tasting so this should be a lot of fun.
