The cruise seems closer than ever... I have the fabric all cut for the fish extender and I think it will be cute and unique. I have an embroidery machine but I don't have that cool Disney font. I think I will keep the embroidery simple. I have to get to sewing it together. I have the fish extender presents. The are not as creative as I would have liked but not bad.

I've been checking out touring plans for WDW. We are just going for 1 day after the cruise with Grandpa. Anyone used these before. My DH was laughing at me but I told him that last time we waited almost an hour for Dumbo and he would thank me some day. The hardest part will be getting everyone there right when they open...

I have known what I have wanted to do for the FE for awhile, but I finally did a sample last night and got it right.
Now I just have to make them all... I better get crackin'!

Wow, lucky you. I'll be looking for mine to arrive.

I'm all ready to go, documents filled out and suitcase is packed. I'm only bringing a weekender. We're flying in 3 weeks and 2 days. I can't wait for cruise documents to get here and make it real.

I'm ready for Christmas too. Just a few more presents to wrap after I get some more gift boxes. I'm very excited to get the holidays moving and then the cruise after. Let the fun begin!

The cruise has been pretty much out of my mind lately - my mother was in the hospital, then hospice and passed away last Thursday. We had her memorial yesterday. I still feel like I've had a ton of bricks fall on me, but am starting to get back to life.

My parents were supposed to take another cruise right after ours, which my Dad canceled, so I've convinced him to come on ours! He has his own cabin almost across from us. I'm really happy he's coming. (note: he won't be a part of the FE exchange)

I got our Hyatt arrangements all set, documents all filled out. Haven't even considered packing - but we're surprising the kids on Christmas with this, so packing would be hard. Last year BOTH my parents were in the hospital, with my mom getting out the night before we left, and I packed us ALL at 11pm the night before we left. It worked out fine.

Andrewsmommy - I am so sorry to hear about your mom's passing. My heart is breaking for you. I hope that you are able to enjoy yourself on the cruise and bring along some great memories of her. I'm glad to hear that your dad will be coming along as well.
Even though he is not participating in the FE, would it be okay to drop an extra gift for him at your door? Maybe the surprises would be good for him.

On a happier note, we are surprising our girls at christmas as well, so no packing going on here either.

Money is a bit tight right now, so I have home stress going on there, but I'm hoping to make it through christmas and maybe the excitement will kick in.

Again, I'm sorry to hear about your mom, your family will be in my prayers.

andrewsmommy - I can't imagine your pain right now. I'm glad your family is still going to join us in January and your dad is coming also. I hope it will be a nice break for reality.

I haven't started packing yet but I REALLY need to start. I'm thinking next week will be slow for us since Shawn won't be working next week.

andrewsmommy, I'm sorry for the loss of your mom. I went through the same process two years ago when I lost my mom. I was cruising for the first mother's day after losing her and decided to do a group prayer, poems, pictures and flowers. We each talked about our favorite mom memories. It was very helpful. Maybe you and your family and dad can get together and find a private spot to honor your mom. I hope it helps you cope a little bit easier. I know what a loss it is when you lose your mom. Prayers and pixie dust coming your way.

I'm so excited because our tickets came this week. So I wrapped them up and put them under the tree as one big surprise for my DH John/1Grumpy John. He already knew we were cruising, but he thought we were in our usual stateroom number 5122. We're not. Well, I couldn't keep the secret any longer and I forced him to open the surprise present today. He did. He found out that we're sailing in stateroom number 8078.....it's a one bedroom suite.....we're sailing concierge. It's a first and probably the last time that we'll be able to afford to do it. I'm so excited. DH was in shock. We're celebrating his birthday onboard and this was a birthday surprise for him. I think I got him good. He still doesn't believe it. hahaha.

Anyone who wants to look around and see what a one bedroom suite looks like, feel free to knock on our door anytime.....that's 8078. We'll take you on a tour of the place....all are welcome.
