We are planning a quick....5days...at BCV for January 20-25...

Our first trip as DVC owners! we completed a resale purchase for OKW recently!!!!! We plan for a OKW week in Sept!

We have never stayed at either resort...BCV or OKW...

Can anyone offer any recommended requests we should make regarding our room?
We have never been to WDW this time of year either....

We can't wait!

I have not stayed at BCV, so I don't have any suggestion for that, but we always do WDW in January, and we LOVE that time of the year at Disney! Weather will be mild and quite changeable. We have seen hot (90's) and cold (30's-40's) and about everything inbetween! Average is about 60's-70's and usually dry and pleasant. If you do get a damp cloudy day, it will feel quite cold, so we usually pack a jacket and even gloves and a scarf for those times. We don't usually need them, but we pack light anyway because of the in-room laundry. It aslo comes in handy to have the jacket on the plane when we come home to the frozen north!

September is very HOT and we don't care for that time of year as much, but we have been there several times then too. As far as room requests at OKW. There really are no bad views. Each of us learns we like certain areas over others for personal reasons. We tend to prefer the South Point area and that quiet pool. Others really like the Turtle Pond area and the snack shop there. I can honestly say I have never been disappointed in ANY DVC room I have stayed at. If you have anyone sleeping in the Living room at OKW, be sure to ask for a room with a second door to the bathroom. The first few buildings did not have that, and it is inconvenient to have folks tramping throught the master to get to the john at night.

Epcot view was very nice at BCV. We had a room that looked out on Spaceship Earth and had a very nice view of Illuminations.

I am not sure if OKW has a bad view.

One addition for September weather -- It is rainy season. Expect a downpour every afternoon even if it is sunny with not a cloud in the sky when you get up. Usually the rain comes and goes in short order. Humidity tends to be high. It is also the most active month for hurricane season. Not that you need to worry about storm surge, but it can increase the amount and duration of rainfall if one is in the area.
