Thanks SO much :) I really appreciate it.
Maybe soon we can organize a meet.

You are welcome, it wasn't a problem to check.

I read about someone organizing a meet for 10pm the first night and thought that was a good idea since it can be busy before sailaway.

We are second seating at dinner, do you think we can make it?

We've always had second seating and are usually out of there anywhere from 9:45-10:15 depending on how much talking we are doing.

Sounds good. Is there a place picked out?

I am going to be in room 6564 in case any DIS-ers need to reach me :)
I'll post pictures soon so people can recognize us .

HI, My family will be joining you on this cruise. It's myself, DH, DD (10), DD (8) and DS (4). I had booked this cruise as a dummy date in September when I went on a girls' cruise and DH decided he wanted to get away from winter so we are going to surprise the kids.

Welcome....a winter getaway is always a nice reason to cruise. :woohoo:

Let me know if anyone is looking for a cabana for CC day. I'm going to be releasing one and want to try and coordinate with someone here so they have the chance to book it if needed.

How nice of you. I'd wanted to grab that opportunity but unfortunately I had a tiny car accident today and the repair costs will be roughly the same as the cabana costs :sad2:. I guess it's better not to mention a cabana to my husband right now ;).
I still don't know how it happened, I drove right into a bush in front of our house, the bush has always been there but only today I had to drive into it, it must have looked really funny to the neighbours.
Oh well, Castaway Cay will be awesome with or without a cabana and I've got another chance 2013.

Sorry to hear about your little accident, hope you are ok....but how's the bush?

I'll wait to release the cabana so if anything changes just let me know.

:rotfl2: The bush is fine, as scratchy as ever and my husband really made an effort to come across as honest as possible when he told me that "it's just a car", although he was suffering. It's just a big scratch, could have been worse.

I just realized that today next week I will be in Disneyland Tokio, that helps a lot with my mood :woohoo:.

Oh now I'm jealous....I want to go to Tokyo D'land. One day we'll get there.....

Hello everyone - I'm "Ladewig"s better half. Just got myself signed up on these boards (I'm also macusr over on Cruise Critic where I've spent much more time), and wanted to join the conversation on this roll call. Seems like for Disney cruises, there's more activity over here than on Cruise Critic for the roll calls though.

So tonight, I was able to book our Remy reservation for the sea day.

We haven't really decided about shore excursions, if any. I'm interested in Atlantis, but I need to do some more research.

I also need to figure out this port arrival time thing - this is a strange new concept for me - you don't have this with either Princess or Celebrity. I'm not sure how it works if you're going to be arriving via bus from a WDW resort, which we're planning. Going to do some more research on the boards now...

Welcome.

Yes, much more activity here on DCL meets than over on CC.

If you are using DCL transport you don't have to worry about a port arrival time. So no need to reasearch that part.

Welcome! Our twins DDs (10) are hoping to find some friends and enjoy the time together. They'll be excited to here about yours coming.

Thanks jilljill! :thumbsup2
We'll check it out. Looks like it might be a toss up, different states and time frame for requesting, but I drafted a note and sent to request some. Hey, nothing ventured, nothing gained!

I'll update later with results.

***UPDATE***

Yahoo!! :cool1: Thanks again JillJill,:cheer2:
If it works out, then we'll have saved appx $150 for four tickets (we'll still have to purchase one).
I emailed our Reps office (OR), then quickly got a reply saying, No. They told me they used to do this, but not anymore. I read on the board you posted that you need to follow up. So I called and talked directly with the assistant. Again, he said no. So I said please ask around, see what you can find, maybe there is and you just haven't heard...He said he already had and couldn't find anything, but if he did he'll let me know. Thinking I wasn't going to get them, I got an email the other day saying they could get four!!!

We don't have them physically or know when I'll officially get them, but he's confirmed verbally they will, so I'm still going to follow up and make sure.

Yea! only 75 more days!

Being our 75 day mark, and we're noobs, we finally can register for excursions or adult dining.

My wife and I wanted to try Palo Brunch, but it looked like it was only on sea day and was booked.

Then we decided we'll book a dinner at Palo, but wasn't sure which night to do it. (I don't want to miss any of the dining rotation meals, and wanted to do it on a night we double up on one of the dining rooms, but we don't know What our rotation is)

Does anyone know how to find out, or when you find out the rotation assignment?

Also, there was a Tea at Palo, Sorry, but is this a meal or really just drinking tea?

We figured we could reschedule the Palo dinner later, but has anyone had experience with making changes and when is a good time to try and make them, once you find out what your rotation is.

Sorry for lots of questions, but I'm getting real excited now! C'mon January!
