Just found out some info I thought I'd share with you all. Did a search, but couldn't find anything posted about this yet. Ridley Pearson, author of the Kingdom Keeper series, is going to be onboard your sailing filming a segment of "Disney 365" for the Disney Channel! I don't know if that will excite any of you or your kids, but it's sure making me wish I had the $$$ to join you guys!

Sounds cool.

But hopefully the filming won't shut down sections of the ship. I read when Cake Boss was filmed they closed the aquaduck for a a couple of hours to get lots and lots of shots. But given it doesn't seem like a full sailing, the lack of having to line up in other places will make up for it

Wow, I just got up (it's 8:30 am) and there are so many newcomers .
Welcome! Yesterday I shopped FE gifts, so I guess another trip is in order, but this time without my husband, I think he still doesn't get the whole thing and was complaining all the time (how will we carry it, what if something breaks, is this really necessary, what, how much is it!!! ).
He thinks that the whole doormagnet, FE, suitcase sticker thing is more stress and additional costs, whereas I think it's added value

I had the exact same thought when, on thebeginning, nobody wanted to do FE and I had already told my daughter about it

Hi There, Shipmates,

Finally decided to join the Disboards. Looking forward to joining everyone on January 29th for a few days of (hopefully) warm weather away from the cold of Canada.

We will be on board with our boys (14 & 5). This is our third voyage with Disney and first on the Dream. Can't wait to slide down the Aqua Duck!

Just booked this week and have a bunch to do before we sail so wish us luck!

Forgot to mention......they boys are clueless. They have no idea we are going on this cruise. We plan to surprise them on Saturday (28th) just before we leave for the airport. I can't believe how hard it is to cover our tracks so they don't know what is going on......

That's so great!! I love those videos on youtube were kids are told that they are going to Disney, one day I will do that with my daughter...
I can imagine that it's hard for you to keep that secret.

my son loves the kingdom keepers series...i must say i read the first book and enjoyed it myself...we have them on the kindle..thinking of picking up the paperbacks and maybe trying to get an autograph

We are driving down, so we will pick them up from school on Friday and tell them we are going to visit friends.....I can't wait to see how long it takes for them to figure it out. Our DS (4) has been telling us everyday how much he wants to go on a Disney Cruise because he had so much fun last time.

Are you guys doing a character call? We did ours on Christmas even but when I tried to schedule my second one- the systems said I used them all . I heard it's a common issue, I've been meaning to call them to fix it but I got so caught up in the holidays.

I added the other new family who are also into it they pm-ed and asked me to ad them. We just need tigger and bubba, I have their info but I don't want to post it unless they say its okay. I am sure it would be since they want to participate but I would rather wait for the green light. But for those who need some preparation it's an adult couple with two teen boys who are their guests.

I got all the stuff today for my FE gifts. If it turns out as good as I hope they will (it requires some craft ability on my part) I think they will be enjoyable and used. I'm going to start to work on it tomorrow and I still have to come up with something to use for an actual fish extender.
