Jan. 22- 29 , 2011 Western Caribean Cruise on the Disney Magic!!!

I am not going to continue to grumble about that fumi guy on the scavenger hunt thread.....AFTER THIS TIME......

Im sorry but, how much more wrong could someone be....
So we are trying to come up with something to keep our children happy while waiting....and it isnt a new video game......stimulation for the brain, and all he wants to do is complain......

I am sure he could comeover here and read this too, so if you are reading this sorry.........

But dude.....those kind of people i just dont get.....I cant even put it into words...

WISH I COULD
Oh yeah.....here sit and watch this cartoon over and over again for a couple hours theres a good one, or look out the window, how abotu take a nap, but for heavens sake dont move, or breath too loud

OKAY I AM DONE!!!!

LOL:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
This is way too funny...I love your sarcasm!! This guy's a tool and obiviously doesn't have kids and if he does, I feel sorry for them.(the kids that is)
It is quite entertaining reading the thread though...I'm glad there has nobody writing to support his comments!
How do we get a list of the scavenger hunt anyway?? Sounds like something fun to do to pass the time. I will have to help my kids so no worries about them running rampage on their own.

Re: Time Zones:
I was wondering about time zones because we are second seating for dinner which is roughly 8:30pm, which should be roughly 6:30pm our usual time. This makes dinner not far off from normal for us and was wondering about everyone else.

Re: Scavenger Hunt post:
I WISH that guy/girl complaining on the other post WOULD come over here and read this! I would love to tell him/her what I REALLY think of his/her attitude! I HATE people who are ignorant about kids. I mean seriously! Kids on a Disney Cruise?! What were we thinking!? I feel like getting my niece(who is a handfull) and taking her on whatever crusie he/she is on!

Ok, I feel better :)

So I was reading the forums about rebooking online and I was wondering.... Should I book a 3 day just for now and change it later to a 7 day? I honestly do not think I can do a 3 day....lol. I want to check out an EC next since I want to see as much as I can.

RE: terminal scavenger hunt dude

I am seriously considering posting an "extra noise and running" version of the hunt just for him!! :lmao:

Kristen I just sent you the hunt list as I am the one compiling it (with much help)...

Fab five......
My Oldest Ds works at the Pitt airport and lives over the boarder in WV.

He has been at that airport for about 2 years now i guess.

He graduated from WVU and went to work there not to long after.

Very cool, Lynn. We're about 15 miles from the airport. Not originally from here, but been here almost 6 years and love it!

Or better yet, maybe I'll compile a list of songs for a "Disney Name That Tune" contest the adults can participate in while our kids are wrecking havoc while unattended in the terminal. :lmao: It should be especially fun if we open up our coolers and get the party started before we get on the ship.:cool1: (Just kidding, of course.) You all are right - a Disney Cruise probably isn't the best place for him/her.

That was just a great read...........

I am way late to bed.

Will be a sleepy day for me tomorrow.

HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND!!!
ENJOY THE FALL!!!!!!!!!

Now THAT idea I like!! We could use some really loud, annoying songs that get stuck in your head all day! :rotfl:

Have fun at your wedding, Sheila, I am doing someone's wedding cake Sunday... 10/10/10 .. very cool date!!

So true, we are the same way, any quality time we can get in as a family we do, I am always planning a trip to somewhere or a weekend away. My house may go to heck, but it's the experiences that count to me.

I know how hard the anniversaries can be, so thinking of you this month. Our daughter was stillborn 9 years ago in September. Some anniversaries have been so hard, others the build up was more difficult than the actual day. I already am dreading the 10 yr mark next September, especially as it was all the same week as 9/11 and there will be SO much 10th anniversary talk going on coming up on that. :(

We're way west, almost in Ohio, near Pittsburgh. Are you guys flying down?

Yes, we are flying down. From Phila to Orlando of course. We should be on the same cruise i am guessing :) We are traveling with my MIL, SIL and her family, friends/neighbors, and ourselves..
I am so glad to hear you say what you did above.. about some times the buildup is harder than the day.. it so is. 5 yrs was REALLY hard for me.. and the days they start school is always a tough one. Colins bday is the day before mine, and he died on my husband and my anniversary, and my father in laws birthday... who my FIL also passed this year suddenly.. he was found dead in his car. (heart attack) been a bad year. Hopefully this gives us something to look forward too.. i know prob too much info than you wanted! LOL

I always say the buildup is harder... i get such anxiety about it :( Sorry about your baby girl.. thats sooo awful. I am thankful i did get 3 mo with him, and have some memories.. its never enough, but at least i have some. I feel for moms who dont have many... especially with a still born baby :sad2: (((( huggs)))) your way. You on FB? Search for me.. if you are.. its my first name.(my screen name on here)

hang in there !!

That's the one... Also known as Nirvana!! To me anyway.

There are not alot of those stores around...probably only in the bigger cities...at least in Ontario anyway...
I don't know of anyone who works for Lush. Why? Did you want something from there?

Okay, with all the Canadians here surely SOMEONE works for Lush, right??? :worship::worship:

I keep wondering about this store you told me about and I finally looked it up!

http://www.lush.com/lushlife/canstores.htm

I see there is one very close to where I take my dad to the Cross Cancer Institute so let me know if there is anything you need me to send you!

Facebook people... Feel free to add me as well! You can find me under my email addy! cbbell5@telus.net Just make sure to tell me where I know you from...lol.

And :grouphug: to those who have lost your babies. My nefew was a still born 24 years ago this Feb. I was in the delivery room with my sister when she delivered. I can't begin to understand loosing a child but my heart goes out to you.

Who is in charge of the meet our first day?

Do we know when it is going to be or where??

Kelli has the list of people that want to meet but not sure if she has a time or location. I am not familiar with the ship as this is my very frist crusie ever! so I won't be much help as to where but when I think should be about a half hour or hour before the drill. This gives us time to meet but not too much time that we miss anything else. I was checking out some info on the secret deck 7 and if that was garunteed not to be taken, that would be a great place to meet! But since we can't be sure, does anyone else have a location that would work?

RE: Lush Fortunately there is one in Atlanta just a couple of hours away from us and I take a trip there to get my stuff or just order it online. Hoping if anyone works there they can tell me about any new stuff to come!!! Inside information, y'know! ;) :cheer2:

RE: Meet Okay so being slack, I have not put out any ideas for times yet. So here goes... I figure the first day we could have a general "get to know you" meet around 3:00 in the promenade lounge. Plenty of space there and not a bunch of people there at that time... Have to be done by 3:45 or so to be able to get back to cabins, get life jackets on and go to the drill at 4:00. I was thinking we could also set up a couple on sea days to play cards or whatever. What do y'all think? Do we want to do the sea days ones in the morning or afternoon? I am open to any and all suggestions...

RE: shipboard scavenger hunt So we are planning on 1 for kids/family and 1 for adults, or we could just do a kids/family one. Anyone want to chime in on the best day/time to do those?

Let me know what y'all want to do!! :grouphug:

Kelli

I think on the sea days the afternoon may be better since some (including me hopefully!) will have reservations at Palo for brunch. :cloud9: But then again, afternoon may not be good either since nobody wants to miss a nice afternoon out in the sun. :cool2: So I guess that means that either would be fine. Maybe one of each!! :confused3
The one on the first day sounds like a good plan.:cool1:

If it's too much work to do two, I think the kids/family one is a great idea.
This is my first Disney cruise as well so I'm not much help in giving suggestions since I am not familiar with all the activiities on board and when would be the best time to plan our own.

I think 3:00 in the Promenade Lounge is fine. That will give us "early birds" plenty of time to eat and explore the ship/check out our cabins. I think a family scavenger hunt would be best (and easier for you - I know you've spent a lot of time on the terminal hunt). Maybe after lunch for the hunt would be best, since there are the character breakfasts and Palo brunch to contend with in the AM.

Thank you for taking care of all these things, Kelli. Let me know if you need help with anything.

I ordered the boys each a DCL pin on Ebay the other day for their Xmas surprise. They still have no idea of what we have planned, although I feel bad that Jason keeps telling me which rides he can't wait to do when we go to WDW in January. :rotfl: Enjoy your day!!
