They will just apply your $1000 to your next package. If it's less than $1000 in total, they will give you back a credit for the overpayment. At least that's what they did with the PIN I just applied.

I must not "get it." I don't understand why the big rush right when the news comes out. Is there possibly a limited amount of bargains to be had? Someone educate me please. I was thinking of waiting until after dinner with the family to let Disney take over my evening.

I just received this from an inside source on 11/6/08 at 10:50 am Hawaii time = 3:50 pm Eastern time

I just got the details (they were just released). I don't think it will apply to many people - but for people who can stay at WDW longer it could be great.

If you book 4 nights between January 4th & March 29th you get 3 nights free. This applies to both rooms and tickets. You need to book between today and December 20th. I'll post the details on the Disboards and on Facebook.

I can't even use seven days and yet I am getting all anxious about this promotion release -- what is up with that????

BTW -- has anyone heard anything more about the additional AAA discounts for reservations made on November 8th and after? I registered for the viritual show that was discussed in another post but haven't heard anything but a rumor that there will be an additional 5% discount on moderates - for a total of 25%. Now I need to find a AAA agent open on Saturday to try to book with -- or can you book that online?

Depending on your dates, it could be limited. Also we don't know full details. There is a lot we don't know. So people are going to be calling at 5pm. To find out.

I'd suggest calling your local AAA office and ask if their open on Saturday if not, on Saturday I'd call AAA main booking number.

The 5% AAA discount will be available for new bookings on the 8th. I do not know if you can book it on line. The virtual show that you registered for is on the 12th from 6pm-11pm. It has nothing to do with eligability for the promotion and you do not need to ''attend.'' It is not a rumor, it will be available. This was announced on 10/31 via AAA. In my experience, I would not call the AAA toll free number. They are slow to respond and generally are busy when a new promo is released. Please find an agent if you opt for this promo, just to save yourself some time. Oh, and the discount covers mods. and dlx villas as well.

I can't say about this specific promotion (since we don't have the confirmed specifics yet), but in the past when I've had to call for clients, people who had existing bookings when a sale came out had one of two things happen...

1) the sale code was added to the original package - easy peasy -- if paid in full already, credit was issued back to the guests to the original form of payment

2) the package was re-booked and any money (including insurance) was transfered to the new package -- if paid in full, credit issued as above


Even though there are tons of people who are chomping at the bit to get this when it's avail at 5pm EST, you have to remember that each person/family is traveling on different days and staying in various resorts. It's not like there are only 10 rooms at one resort for one week. You don't have to be the first person to call in. Those who wait until tomorrow morning will most likely not be out of luck (unless you're looking for a holiday trip.. Valentines etc)

I know, for me, I'm just anxious to see if it's going to make it possible for us to take a trip in Feb. DH really wants to go and who am I to say no?! But I know if I wait until tomorrow, I'm going to be OK. BUT... I also am too excited and want to know NOWWWWW!!!!
