Jan 2009 Code Watch

If it is not coming out till 5pm I can get a bunch of things done today instead of sitting by this computer!!! :surfweb:

I called and they tell me the same thing. You know, my guess is, they aren't going to tell us anything until it's posted and one of the websites, either Disney or DV or heaven forbid the illustrious email with pin code. So, I'd say no need to call anymore unless I see something online.

I'm trying to figure out the same thing. And I'm wondering what to do if the 7th night isn't available for our room. We currently have 6 nights booked. I'm wondering if I should go ahead and call befor 5pm and check availability and book the extra night if possible.

Still half asleep! I would have to figure how much I would save , IF that is the plan they are offering.
How would I do that? LOL
It is taking my brain awhile to get up I did not even make my coffee yet!!:surfweb:

It depends on how many days you are staying.

7 nights would be 4 / 7 = 57% or about a 43% discount.

8 nights would be 5 / 8 = 62.5% or about a 37.5% discount.

So the sweet spot is for 7 nights.

Then you'd have to add in the possibility of a $200 bonus.

Right now it'll save me about $1000.00 over my AAA rates at the WL for 8 nights. When I add in the $200 it's probably getting me just over a 40% discount which is better then I expected for an AP discount for March.

Of course this is all assuming that the deal is what we think it is.

Thank you!! LOL! Things are starting move around up there! LOL!!
We were originally only planning on staying 4 nights to try to dave some $$, so this may work out nice.
So the park tickets are or are NOT with all this? (MAYBE)

You know I am wondering if this could be on top of AAA room discount because if not what would be the sense in booking through AAA, unless you didn't care about the free nights.

just got off the phone with CM who said nothing yet, but she did say
"it would make no sense for us to offer a room only discount, then month later offer package discount"

also said pay attention to tv and radio discount will be announce.

really getting tired of the 20 questions games I have two young girls play that game on a daily basis.:headache:

Mousesavers just updated there site....the code/offer is expected to come out at 5pm.

Any guesses on whether dining will be included in the free part? Pay for 4 nights of room, park tickets and dining and get 3 nights room, park tickets and dining for free?

Or will it be just for the room and tickets?

I'm crunching hypothetical numbers!

Well, Mousesavers say 5pm I tend to believe them. Guess I can go to the store, get some work done and check the sites about 5pm.

From what it sounds like this will be a package deal, you will have to book the room and the tickets. So far nothing has leaked at all about dining, so I'm assuming that won't be included, however the $200 gift card may entice people to go down the dining route. Of course this is all just pure speculation from the sounds of it we will be waiting til 5pm to find out.

great gotta start getting everyone off to work and school and attempt to stay glued to the computer again at work:upsidedow

What advice do you guys have for those of us working with TA's?

Since we don't know what the actual deal is, would we be best off saying, here's my budget amount, get me the best hotel, tickets and dining you can for less than $x?

Or would it be best to go ahead and book whatever it is and then go through the process of transferring the reservation to the TA over the weekend?

If the tickets are Magic your way, I couldn't use them as they would expire when we leave, right? We have AP's, and if I could use the passes on a later trip, I might consider it. Also, if it is MYR, if they charge you at the rate for the nights you will be paying for (4), not the per night rate at 7 nights, the savings goes down, because the daily price for4 days is much higher than that of 7. Am I figuring this right?

We were planning (hoping?) to stay a bit longer this time.. maybe 10 or 11 days or so. I'm not quite sure what to do with that deal.
I mean, I'm thrilled that it looks like they will be offering something, but I don't know how to get it to work best for our family. I had been planning:
Jan 5-16, 2 adults, 2 kids- All Star Movies, Base tickets, maybe dining plan.

what if this gift card had strings attached. Like it could only be used for Merch. Disney will lose money if most people decide to use their cards for tips or dining. Because they'll have to pay out the full amount to the restaurant. Or, maybe few people will book the "huge" deal and they'll have to come up with something else. Or maybe they'll offer a couple different options. I'm not ready to allow myself to believe that this 4/3 thing is it. It's not that huge. What would be cool and I'd consider is if it started on the first. I'd only stay threw the 5th, but would take the extra free days and I'd put that $200 gift card back to the front and put it towards my room. Disney could sort it out (which will cause a lot of work with their accounting department).

LOL:rotfl: I've been refreshing that page at mousesavers....and I didn't even notice the 5 pm release time! I think I need double shots of coffee here.

It so figures....I have my son's conferences at school with his teachers at 5:00:scared1:

I already have my reservation made with the AP discount....so I'm not worried about room availability from the hotel I want....just hoping the package is available there....it should be though....you think? lol
