We're there 1/19 - 1/24 - anyone been after MLK? I see those dates are blocked on the Canadian pin.

We will have a great time regardless, but picked this time thinking it would be better than spring break last year (which wasn't all that bad).

Just read about the Canadian pin codes! They go throughout January! And they seemed to reach lots of Canadians! Anyone here get one? Here's hoping for something good for the rest of us!

I think their code was 40% off room only for select dates throughout the year. For January it was from the 4th-15th and then the rest of the month after MLK weekend.

So the only people who have received codes so far are from Canada? Nobody from America has received the code yet?

I am new to this and my week falls right in with the value deal, and am really just trying to figure this all out.

Are the codes always the same for us as they are for Canada? Room only doesn't seem very helpful- that would do me ZERO good. But...I'd be MORE than happy with any of other codes everyone else doesn't want. LOL (free dining, cheaper mods, PH upgrades, etc)

I'm looking at going Jan 11-15th and a 40% code would be great for me. I hope the AP code is at least this good.

We've never gone in January before, always late April/early May. I'm DYING for a trip so we're thinking Jan 24-30 so we'll be there for hubby's 35th bday! How are the crowds, the weather? Hoping for ANY discount! Would KILL for free dining, but 40% off wouldn't be too shabby!!

That's usually when our trip begins (late Jan into early Feb...but this year we had to go early Jan). We love it. Low to no crowds, always warm enough for at least 1 or 2 waterpark days, *maybe* sweatshirts in the evenings (although in 07 is got pretty cold but we were still in shorts in the evenings...then again, it's MUCH warmer than a NW winter!).

Me too... I got so excited this morning when I saw people talking about their pin code e-mails... and then my hopes got crushed when I checked my e-mail.

When I call to check update some ADR's I asked of the rate on our room each night (Jan 8-18) The CM told me that the rate was lower on the dates Jan 8-15 and that they went up on the 16-17-18 because that is a holiday weekend. We are leaving on the afternoon of the 18th so we only have to nights at a higher rate. I have heard that crowds are larger due to MLK weekend but we are just hoping that it won't be super crazy.

Don't forget, the promo for next year is a free one day pass if your there on your Birthday, so your DH should qualify!

OH YEAH!!! We'll get the multi-day pass, so won't he get a merch. credit or something? WOOHOO-Love me some Free Disney stuff!! We were going to do second week of Feb. until I realized the bday offer! Why wait two weeks if we can get free stuff?? Now worrying about flights and/or weather for driving! Never driven more than 3 hours with my kids before and THAT was an experience! Thinking of doing stright thru overnight so they'll (hopefully) sleep!

I think one of the perks is a fast pass good for up to 6 people! Lucky you. I figure the whole park will be in on the fast pass with the birthday promotion. Wish they had published this in Sept. when we booked our airfare and now can't change due. We are celebrating my kids birthday, but miss the actual day by 2 days since we tied into a long weekend. Oh well, we'll still be at Disney!

I will be happy with anything! We are set and all ready to go! ADR's are set!

I think it depends on the park and weather. We were dreamed the FP's at Epcot only to bad for us because it was a very rainy day with low crowds. Everything was walk on. We used one of our FP's just so we could say we did. However when we were at MK on a warmer day we could have really used those FP's when the crowd was heavier.

Well, A new code came out today. Unfortunatly it was for 11-1-08 to 12-23-08. It was not a great code antway. $59.00 for Value resorts and $174.00 for deluxe studios. This code will not end until Dec.7. Does that mean we will have to wait until Dec.8? I am so annoyed right now. Im still going to Disney but it is looking like without a code. Maybe they will surprise us on Monday.
