Jan 2009 Code Watch

I'm guessing, not holding my breath, but guessing that the new codes will be out next week. The fall code ends on Friday the 18th. I too am holding out for a great code...a really great one...as we just went in September. It was my daughter's first trip, but she is still talking about it nonstop. She's only 2. She asks to go ride Dumbo every morning. We'd love to be able to enjoy another trip with her at this age. Come on codes!:dumbo::dumbo:

Just keep checkin' checkin' checkin' (sing to Dory's song in Finding Nemo...HA!)...

Nah...really...from what I understand, check the AP holder's website daily, check the WDW website daily, check Mousesavers website daily, check HERE daily....etc. and PRAY!!!

I too am waiting and HOPING for a great discount code. I hope it is something great because I just don't know if we can justify going right now. We might have to cancel (or shorten our trip) if we can't save enough money by then, so a great discount would certainly help. We are going Jan. 1 - 17.

Lets all keep our fingers crossed because it sounds like a lot of others are in the same boat as I am!

Do you have to be able to quote a code to get the AP discount?

Yes you have to know the code but don't worry it will be on here faster than you can say discount.

I have Visa but am not an AP.
Can you use an AP code if you aren't an AP?:confused3

Do they usually come out earlier like the Visa ones?

If I have a AAA vacation package and a Disney discount code comes out, I can still apply that to my AAA package, right? This is what I am thinking, but if I am wrong, please correct me.

Thanks

Okay, sorry for so many questions...but thank you guys for being so helpful.

What IS "AP" anyway?

Yes, you can apply a Disney discount even if you've booked a AAA vacation. However, you can only use one discount at a time. So you'd have to calculate, or have your travel agent calculate, which discount is the better deal for you.

Sorry what I meant to say was that you have to have the 3 digit code for whatever discount that comes out. It could be AP, Package, Disney Visa card holders, Florida resident rates or room only codes. When and if any come out you will know here or on Mousesavers.

I'm hoping for a code for my AKL concierge room.:cool1:

anyone care to guess what the code will be!!!!!!!!!!
I think it gonna be good because of nov.'s code being so good.;)

I have a feeling it will be the same as the past 2 Januarys - free upgrade to hopper and waterparks when you buy a package, which really is equal to $200 per person on your passes. It also knocked about 15% off the room.

Last January I booked Pop, preferred room, DDP for 2 for 10 nights for about $2000.

This year, I don't need the hoppers - we are only going to be in the parks for 5 days and don't plan to hop, and may go to BB one day if the weather is warm enough. So this isnt a good deal for me this year, considering I have 20% off my room right now. I am hoping it is a better deal than the free hopper/more stuff.

I'm with you - mainly because we're there for 13 nights, and a bigger % off would save us more $$. With the way the Aussie Dollar exchange rate is at the moment, I'm having to seriously re-consider our plans. First thing to go will probably be our couple of nights onsite at Universal, then reconsider some of our TS meals, and the hopper option would be next to go. And souvenir spending $$ will be seriously cut back in USD terms. (For us the price of everything has gone up by around 40%, just from the exchange rate, let alone any Disney/Universal Price increases). Here's hoping things improve a bit by mid-December, or a unprecedented January Code/Add-On becomes available.
