Jan.2006 code watch!!

We booked CBR at the AAA rate for Jan 14-21 last night! :cheer2: I really hope a code comes out because I would love to either save more at CBR or upgrade to WL! :cloud9:

I just called Disney reservations yesterday to ask about Jan. codes. The CM I spoke with said wait until late Oct, at least! I also checked with her to see if I'm on the mailing list and email list- we've been there once, for only two days, so I imagine we are on a list of visitors to woo back.

2005 Jan/Feb codes came out Oct 30/31 2004
BUT
last years 2004 fall codes came out Aug 28 (not will Sept 29 this year).
SO I wonder if we will have to wait an extra month as well?

Any thoughts anyone?
Suzy V.

I think we'll be waiting til at least the end of the month. I'm hoping that since its value season, they might let the code out earlier than this past one.
Right now I'm trying to decide if I should book a room only through AAA, or just wait it out. I really think there will be something, but who knows if it'll be worth it.

I called today and the cm told me the end of the month if not possibly the beg. of November. I've booked rack rate and am praying for a discout room code! :worship: :worship:

Posting in hopes of good codes for my B-day. January 3rd :bounce:

That's my sister's bday too...and she's going to be 30!! (I can say that because I'm older than she is. And when I turned 35 this summer, in her card she wrote "so you're like what, pushing 40 now?"

Did the cm say that a code(s) will be coming out end of month/beginning of November, or just to check back then ?

I have a room only CAA (20% off ) ressie but I still have to buy the membership (47 cdn) to save the approx 106 US. I would much rather get a room only code or some other incentive.

But to tell you the truth, I am just so thrilled to be going, a code would only add to the excitement. :cool1:

I booked my rooms on Sept 17th through the BRP for AP holders on the Disney website. We will be staying at the Wilderness Lodge Jan 6th-18th. I thought we got a good rate for our courtyard room... $211/night. I have never checked the prices before, so does anyone know if this a good rate? I hope so!! I saw on one website that the value season prices for that room were normally b/t 280 and 340. So, I thought 211 was great! Am I just naive?

But, if a cheaper rate comes out before then, will I still receive it, since I am already booked? I was told on the phone by a cast member that I would recieve a letter if the rate chanded. Has anyone had this happen?

For all my Jan. 2006 friends, I just read this on allears:
"Test Track will be closed Monday, January 9, 2006, through Tuesday, February 14, 2006. It's scheduled to reopen Wednesday, February 15, 2006." :earseek:
We will arrive on Sat. Jan. 7 so hopefully we can ride it sat. or sun. because we have never been on it before.

did they tell you what type of discount it would be by chance? I know I'm dreaming, but it's worth a shot.

I'd love to do better than my AAA package discount.

Trish

Trish- She didn't mention what type of code it would be. I mentioned to her that my hubby was in the military and that I knew that Oct. was the end of Disney's miltary discount. She replied to me,"You never know they might decide to continue that over. She then said that something would be out but not until the end of Oct. or possibly the beg. of Nov. She finished by saying for me to call back. Hope this helps! Jennifer

For all the military folks- I called SOG for an overflow rate which I have done many times and I was shocked! The rates given to me was the exact same as Disney's rack rate. No discount at all! I'm wondering if this means that there is so much availability for our time frame? Any ideas? Jennifer

:guilty: :guilty: DH and I will be singing the blues since we will be missing test track this time. We love that ride. I guess there is plenty more to enjoy. After all...we will be at DISNEY WORLD! :teeth:

There is a thread on these boards somewhere else as well. Personally my only dissapointment is that Soarin and Mission Space will be more in demand now. I've been at MK before when one of the Mountains was closed and even in off season it made a noticeable difference! :earseek:

Test Track will be closed? :sad2: :sad1: :( That's my mom's favorite ride and one I think my grandparents would really enjoy! Bummer!

I guess we will have to plan our park days to be at Epcot on the 7th or 8th. How do they know it's closed? The schedule isn't out yet, right?
