Jan 20, 21 - No room at the Inn - what's up ??

Jan 20 and 21 are booked solid at BCV and BWV...it's not MLK weekend; it's not new years; it's not marathon weekend; it's not even Super Bowl weekend...Sunday and MOnday nights no less...Sat is open as well as Tuesday...

Anybody have an insight ??...I quess I will keep my ressie at VWL....

A huge computer geek fest with about 10,000 people is January 20-24 at the Swan/Dolphin. Most of us stay at the Swan/Dolphin and Boardwalk area

I'm one of those poor slobs who "has" to go every year....poor me lol

So, if you see a whole lot of geeky looking people running around that area with funky backpacks and badges, that's us.

DH and I are right there with you! (Although the $1895 "early bird" rate this year is painful [to] our budget. Ouch! I sure wish we were still offered CLP and/or BP discounts.)

Hey bwvBound, did you notice the request for "shoe sizes" on the registration form this year? Maybe no more geeky backpacks (though I love all of mine, I've got the 2006 one with me on a business trip right now, to an Exchange site no less, teehee). Maybe we're getting Lotus crocs this year!

Yes, I've been scratching my head over the "shoe size" question. I was thinking slippers (as we do sooooo much walking during the event), gellin shoe inserts or possibly Teva-like sandles -- but I like your idea of Crocs even more.

I'm sure we are still getting the backpacks ... it wouldn't be LS w/out the sea of backpacks and badges. The 2006 was a particularly striking "bee like" color combo. Is it creating any sting at your present Exchange site? (Anyone notice or care?)

My husband's favorite is the all-yellow model from 2000. He takes it everywhere

There is also a veterinary conference that weekend in the area. Most people stay at the Gaylord and Marriott. We perfer to stay on property.
