We went to WDW for the first time 12 years ago when my daughter was 6 months old. It was that first week in January and it was FREEZING! I remember taking my husbands socks and putting them on her little arms as "gloves." They came all the way up to her shoulders. We definitely did not expect it to be that cold. You never know what you're gonna get that time of year.

Hi everyone

We will be cruising with you guys and would like to be added (if not too late) to the FE list. This cruise will be a birthday/christmas gift to the kids who have no clue about this. I plan to surprise them on Christmas day.
DH & I have cruised on other cruise lines,but when the kids are with us... We only do DCL. This will be our 3rd with DCL. On our 1st one on the Wonder,we did FE but not the second one with the Dream. The kids were kinda bummed out about it,and asked if we could do it again if/whenever we cruise again.

It will be me,DH,DD(6),DD(6),DD(6),and my mother in 5511 & 5509

Yeah I've been the past two January's and the first one had pretty nice weather and then last one was nice for one day and then was FREEZING! Went on Test Track with a wind chill of 27!!! BRRR!! The first time we went in December it was hot, the next time cold. You just never know!

Trying to decide what dresses to take? I have a dress that I love, but it's definitely a summer dress, but since it's going to be the Bahamas I'm guessing it will be ok. I remember our December cruise got chilly at night so I can bring a sweater, but the fact that I'm wearing a summer dress in the winter kind of freaks me out...seems like a fashion faux pas....but I'm thinking that I am just being ridiculous Lol. First World Problem for sure!

Funny - was watching the news this morning and a commentator was talking about some new golf putting rule. They were questioning a guy who said, "Isn't it great we live in a country where people think this is important." So true. Cracked me up.

Hi Everyone,

We are the Leishman's and this will be our first Disney Cruise. It's myself(Jim Leishman), 42, my Wife(Jennie Leishman), 42, our daughter(Emma), 10, and our son(Derek), 8.

I got this trip for my Wife for her birthday and we can't wait to board!

I've been lurking the Boards for a bit now, so I think I have a handle on what we will be experiencing, but any additional advice would be welcomed!

1. Just relaxing with a drink at Castaway Cay!!!

2. Do I wear a summer or winter dress Lol.

3. you can order more than one thing at dinner if you want! 2 desserts...2 main courses....and if you don't like something send it back and they may bring you something delicious!!

Many things, in this order - Finally getting to tell the kids! Not being at work for 10 days! Trying out the Rainforest Spa.

We travel carryon only, so concerned about having room for our wetsuits.

If you like something at dinner and want it the next night, ask your sever immediately. They can arrange in advance.

Just sent my travel agent an email about booking a 4 night cruise for us on the Wonder out of Miami in 2014. It goes to Key West and we've never been there. I will probably see if I can get a better price for it when I am on the cruise, but it was pretty cheap so I wanted to go ahead and book it today!
