Jan 2 2013 Dream Cruise

Same here! The more the merrier!

Thanks so much for being willing to include us!

We are huge Disney fans and have been many times but have only been on the Disney Dream once before. So we are excited to do this.

Please forgive me, I'm new to this. How much should I spend on each gift? And we just deliver the gifts to each room at some point during the cruise? So cool!

TGIF!!!! :cool1: Heading to work and then I'm flying to Vegas tonight!!!

This should be the final list. I could not find Mrs. Cole's room number. I am sorry that I missed it. If Mrs. Coles could let us know her room, we are set.

When I did this before, we got mixed gifts. Some were for the whole family, some were individual. I believe it is a personal choice. Some people did multiple days. Again, personal choice.

In the past, we did not assign days for delivery, did this group want to? We are doing gifts for two different days. Nothing big, one day is a family gift....

There is no money limits. (floor or ceiling). WE all spent a lot to get on the cruise, personally, I do not spend too much, just something fun....

Hope this helps!
Julie

Thanks Julie!

So excited! I was telling a friend of mine and she couldn't believe I would want to do this on vacation ( not a Disney fan). So funny. It's exactly the kind of thing we'd like to do! Kids are very excited!

Did we want to do a DIS board group meeting? I would love to meet people in person.

Anyone else interested?

Sounds like fun- we are in if tuming works out.
My kids are going to be uber-excited about the FE exchange when they find out... dh and I have been collecting goodies for everyone and can't wait to get them involved!

Wanna try the get together on the first day around 3? I'm thinking that might be a good time.

Soooo close to being able to tell the kids! Will look forward to the M&G. Don't normally do those thing, but would love to meet anyone who has someone DDs age (5).

Will try to keep a very long story short, but she's experiencing an abnormal withdrawal to them stopping her asthma medication that's causing her to have irrational fears and anxiety. We're hoping she'll be leveled out soon, but making some friends to play with would be good for her. She doesn't have any other "issues" like these. Everything we've seen are documented side effects of the medication, but have only started since they stopped her medication (which she's been on since she was 22 mos). Neither of her doctors have ever seen it. Anyway, she'll be monitored closely and will have a wonderful time, just not sure if she'll ever feel comfortable enough to leave us long enough to go to the kids club by herself.

I'm so sorry! Having been diagnosed with Asthma over 30 years ago, I know how hard it is to find a medicine that works without having those issues. Was the med singulair by any chance? I know that has known side effects like the ones you described. I have been on it for many years and considered getting off of it for fear that it was causing me anxiety and depression as well as causing me to grind my teeth. My doctor said that I would need to be off it for one week before they could try anything else. Well after day two my Asthma got really bad and I went right back on it! Fortunately for me, the side effects are rather mild and the benefits outweigh the negatives.

Do we know MRSCOLES cabin number yet?

I spoke with DCL this afternoon, and got two different answers to the dining activities. So I contacted my TA and she did some research for me - with the night at sea at the beginning of the cruise, there's a different schedule than usual. Here's what I found:

Dining rotation will be the same location on nights 3 and 4.

Pirate night is the third night.

Semi-formal night is the second night, cruise casual on night 1 and 4.

Movies scheduled are:
  • Monsters, Inc. 3-D
  • Lincoln
  • Wreck It Ralph
  • People Like Us
  • The Odd Life of Timothy Green
  • Brave
  • Avengers

She also paused, and said they were looking at possibly changing some of the on-board activities and rambled on about the fireworks and weather, so of course everything is subject to change.

racingfandj - I have a 4yo DD that would be glad to get away from her 10yo brother while on the cruise.
