What does everyone else think about that ?

There really is no win Lise. I know I am anxious for the list because I have started the FE gifts and we are making some of the things and want to get everything done.

Hey Ilonka - I guess we're twins...We'll fly Wed red-eye or Thursday and spend Friday in a park, too

We'll rent a car. In the past it's a been a much better deal for the three of us than Disney transport to the ship, and we love the flexibility (liquor store stop). Once, when we were staying longer at the resort, we took the Disney shuttle from MCO to WDW and to get to the parks. On Saturday, we took the shuttle back to the airport to get a car. You can also rent cars at WDW, but in the past the car rental agencies at MCO had better rates. We'll see once I have our flights and check the options (time vs $).

I need to get a large car for all our luggage to fit so it turns out to be th same price as the shuttle. Since we will probably be at the park Friday until late, I am thinking it would be better to be driven. Are the DCL shuttles comfortable?

Shirt design is being finalized over the next week. I will need everyone to tell me if they are going to want one. If the pricing works off last years numbers... $10 for all sizes up to 2x and larger. Those are $12. I hope everyone understands when I say I need a count before I can commit to that exact price because it is all dependent on the amount of people where I save money and save everyone money.

Does your family want to participate in the FE fun?

The shuttles are basically like Greyhound busses. They are plenty comfortable for the short ride, and they play an informational DCL video. Cruise #1 we road one all the way to Ft. Lauderdale to meet the Magic (we were there for Hurricane Francis, and they couldn't dock in Port Canaveral). It was fine and the driver played a Disney animated movie as well.

Welcome!! My daughters are 11 and 6, my son is 4. The kids clubs are great. You will be pampered and spoiled to the point that you will hate to get off the ship! Only thoughts or having already begun planning your next cruise will make you feel better.

My older daughter will be 6 about a week after the cruise. We're also going with my brother and SIL and their 3 year old daughter, and my parents.

FE Gift Exchange
…a fun onboard gift exchange that adds to the magic of your cruise
For those new to the FE, here’s a little more info:

What is a FE – FE stands for Fish Extender (see photo below). It works just like Santa’s stocking, but has a pocket for each person in the cabin. This is where you place the gifts you give. You can make or buy your FE. Instructions can be found here on the DIS. Fish Extenders are sold on eBay and Esty.

Why it is called a Fish Extender – On the Magic and Wonder, where this fun began, there is fish-shaped clip by the cabin door. This clip is where you hang your Fish Extender…thus the name FE.

The FE List – FE Gift Exchanges are customarily organized here on the DISboards. The organizer (me for our cruise) keeps a list that includes each participant’s DISboards name, cabin number, family name, individual names, genders and kid ages. This allows gifts to be selected to match those participating. Depending on the number of participants there may be more than one FE group (we have two). Most of the information is listed on the first post of the cruise thread. The formal list is emailed to participants.

FE Gifts - Participants give a little gift to each person on the FE list once during the cruise. Some cruisers prefer to give a family gift to the adults and individual presents for the kids. Gifts are homemade or store bought and are usually Disney themed, tropical or tied to cruise ports. With many cruisers flying and luggage space at a premium, gifts should be selected that are easily packed and can be safely transported home or are used up during the cruise.

Gift delivery - Delivery can be by assigned days or random. Assigning days insures a flow of gifts throughout the cruise. Random allows flexibility to deliver gifts as you have time. Either way is fun … it’s like Santa fills your stockings every day.

They do everything together and since my DD will be allowed in the Edge club and he will not, I don't want him to feel leftout or bored. My DD says she can go to the lab too but I know she will prob want to hang out more in the "older" kids area.

I'll have Samantha jump on there. I don't have a 9 yo boy, but Sam is a sweet kid. Julie was responding I think but Julie will definitely be in the edge. Sam has yet to go to the lab. She's never liked being with the little kids so I'm not sure she will go this time. I will have her respond I'm at cooking classes with Julie and Nico so once we are home I'll have her get on there before history.
