I am doing the same cruise with Samantha except she is going to Costa Maya in Jan 2014. However, I will probably do a few repeats since it's a different child. Because each child is so different, I could take the same exact cruise 3 times and have completely different experiences with each one.

Sam just asked me in the car if she could do Horseback riding. I will have to check and see if 9yo can do it. She was adamant that we not do horses swimming. Just on the beach. Julie on the other hand is all about the horses swimming with us on them. I really hope that gets offered through Disney as well.

I think you have to be 12 or older for the horses Also I work with a lot of Jamaicans and they all said the same thing we have to go to dunns falls. They said its a must.Sorry if I spelled it wrong

It's ok. I'm not great about looking these up either. What is the Dunns Falls?:confused3 You definitely have to be 12 for the horseback riding in Cozumel.

I'll have to look at the ages on the United Website for the horseback riding in Jamaica. I will also have to look up Dunns Falls.

Sam won't be old enough to go horseback riding. So we will have to switch ideas for her, or switch cruises. I really want to do the ATVs, but none of my kids are old enough for those excursions. I guess these are all reasons to keep doing the same cruises. At different ages, they are able to see it or participate in completely different excursions and clubs. ;)

Escape the mob scene mentality on this small group (usually by van) tour. After driving from Falmouth, approximately 40 minutes west of Ocho Rios, you will arrive at Dunn’s River Falls. After walking down to the bottom of the falls on the adjacent flights of stairs, you will begin your climb back to the top. It takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes to climb all the way up the mountain. There are places along the way where you are able to slide down into pools of water, take a swim and climb again. For those that wish to stop climbing, there are multiple points where you can leave the falls and walk on the adjacent path. There are local "guides" at the falls who will lead you up. These guides are separate from your tour and will expect a gratuity when you reach the top.

After your climb, your driver will be waiting to drive you back to Falmouth.

PLEASE NOTE: Although there are changing facilities at the falls, we suggest wearing your swimming suit under comfortable clothing. Water shoes can be rented at the falls if you do not have sneakers or your own water shoes. Flip flops are not recommended. Climbing the falls is not recommended to guests with back or hip/knee concerns.

Got it. United offers this along with the horseback riding and in Jamaica it looks like the age is 11 for horseback riding. It's so funny how they all have completely different age limits. In Cairns, to go horseback riding in the rainforest you have to be 8 or 9. Too bad there isn't a Disney Cruise that goes that way for Sam.

royal carribbean has dunns river fall with bobsliding i think my girls will love that i hope disney will offer the same thing. :) its funny you said that when we went to xplor park (for zip-lining) it said you have to be 12 and up. So when we got there at the park the age to do it was 6 and up. I was so mad, I left Zoe with my mother in law on the boat. But after the fourth tower I was so glad i didnt bring her. I was so tired and I was nagging and asking for an elevator. There was a total of 13 towers. So Disney was right.

I like to plan, but my hubby doesn't like to talk about another trip until the last one is well past. 2014 is a little different in that it's our 20th Anniversary so we know we're doing a cruise. 1994 - Honeymoon - Greek Cruise, 2004 - 10th Anniversary 1st Disney Cruise (I surprised him 2 weeks before the sailing), 2014 - 20th Anniversary - DCL Jamaica!!! (We were on DCL a week after our 15th... for my BBFs wedding)

I'm good with surprises... but, come to think of it, I'm usually the one planning the surprise. :confused3 We usually go with an outside stateroom. We had a Veranda in 2004, but only went out once (Sabrina was 3 that might have been a factor). We don't spend enough time in the cabin for it to matter, but I want a split bath. I wonder if you can tell night from day with a Magic Porthole. :sunny:

Where are you going before this cruise for vacation?

I haven't had anyone surprise me either, but honestly, unless the person completely gets me, I don't want them to try.

I've never had one :lmao:

I was matched up with single parents last time, but only one little girl was close to Samantha's age with her dad. We didn't see them during the day, but Sam and I sat at the some of the shows with them. Hopefully there is another parent daughter duo that is about Julie's age. On 3 day cruises, it's probably more difficult to get to know each other. 7 day cruises might be a little better for that kind of thing.

Sorry... that's right, you don't drink. We'll stick to sober endevours together. How about we send Chuck to watch football with the boys... and we check out the spa :goodvibes:

We're convinced 7 days is a must. We've talked about doing a back2back, so we can go to the Bahamas... double Castaway Cay sounds inviting. I can deal with getting off for a couple hours or whatever, as long as we get the same stateroom and don't have to repack/unpack.

It would be hard making BFFs on 3 or 4 day. At least on a B2B you'd still have the same crew.

I would do back to back with the same cruise and same room as well. Who am I kidding, I would do back to back even if I had to pack up and switch rooms.;)

I can try a margarita. I bake Mudslide brownies (baileys and Kahlua). It's not that I can't drink, it's that I have never trusted myself to be drunk.:rotfl2: Tasting isn't the same thing, as long as I taste 1 or 2. Since i have never been drunk, I doubt that would take very long.;)

Since i have never been in the adult areas (I've never been without my clingy child) the spas would be fun.:goodvibes

Hi I will be cruising on this cruise. It will be our first. My husband, myself, and my son who will be a year old. Also they brother will be getting married on the cruise so other family members will be on the ship as well. We would love to participate in the FE.

A cruise wedding?? How cool :) That has to be one of the more fun weddings to attend. Especially a Disney Cruise Wedding. :cool1:

A Disney wedding would be amazing!! I couldn't think of a better place to get married. :goodvibes I would do WDW over getting married on the cruise. But the cruise is a nice touch. What is awesome is that two people in the family love Disney enough to have weddings there. I have a lot of family, but none of them are as cool as your family.:thumbsup2

Unfortunatly it looks like Karla and myself will not be able to go on this cruise anymore. Due to some unforseen circumstances, we will not be able to afford it, and neither one of us wants to go alone :( I hope you all have a wonderful cruise and take tons of pictures! Hopefully I might see some of you on my future 30th birthday cruise in 2016!

I'm so sorry :( I hope everything works out and we will look for you 2016!!!

Hi ann, I love your picture it perfect :) and its great that your family is going. You are going to love going on a Disney Cruise. I love to see the headbands with the bride and groom with disney ears.
I wanted to get married in WDW but my husband didnt want to. But we did our honeymoon there many years ago. ;)

Honeymooning in WDW is awesome as well.:goodvibes

I think after the trip I am going to take Julie to WDW for a few days. I know people say it is better to go the opposite order, but Sept is much less expensive and it's her Bday. I'm trying to decide where to take her for a B-day meal. Maybe we can do the Castle for lunch. Her favorite breakfast is 1900 Park Fare. When we were the a while back, we had amazing character interaction.:thumbsup2

When we go to Disney we also go to universal studio I'm a big Harry potter fan.
