Jamie's Journal (comments welcome please!)

Good Friday Morning!!! Finally it's here.

Well the good news from yesterday, I resisted the donuts and a brownie, but I could not resist the ice cream! We had our learning lunch and they had donuts, fruit and bagels, so I had half a bagel and some fruit. It was pretty good. I was so tempted to get a donut especially since the person sitting next to me got one and it smelled so good. But I said no....not gonna happen. Then in the afternoon we got an email that we were celebrating the March birthday's with brownies and ice cream. I tried to stay away, but I couldn't. I cant resist ice cream. But the good news there is that it was one of those small cups of ice cream, so it was not a lot.

DH is too funny, he is skinny as a bean pole and wants to lose weight...he says he has a gut. Okay, whatever. Really I think he just wants more muscle....and that is good too. So last night while I am working out he comes up and starts lifting weights. He gets done and I am still working. He goes downstairs and when I get done I head down. There he is sitting on the couch eating a popsicle. Nice thing to eat at 8:40pm after your work out. His excuse - he was hot and the popsicle cooled him down! He told me to try it, I looked hot, I said no way...it was too late and I didn't just bust my butt on the elliptical to ruin it with a popsicle! Man he is too much some times.

Thursday:
B @ 5:15 2 waffles with no butter and have of 1/4 cup syrup. I decided to try cutting the syrup in have and it worked out well!
S @ 8:30 1/2 bagel, fruit
L @ 12:00 two slices of leftover pizza - the only bad thing about Two for Tuesday, we have pizza left over for days!
S @ 3:00 1 cup of vanilla ice cream
D @ 6:00 2 corn tortilla tacos
Water was great again, didn't get the 100oz again, but I made it to 96
Exercise was good again, I didn't get my weights in like I wanted, but I did do 30 minutes on the elliptical.

I have today and tomorrow to make my exercise challenge...I am sure I can do it. I a at 730/800 and I plan on doing both the elliptical and the weights tonight and tomorrow. This will be the first month is ages that I have made it...how great is that!!!

Well I am off to other journals.

Have a great day :)

Glad to hear that everyone is doing well. That is great that you are going to make the exercise challenge this month.... Way to go!:cheer2:

Have a great weekend!:goodvibes

Tracy,

We posted about the same time. Sorry I missed you!

We did have tornados here in Colorado, and we had one touch down in far East of Colorado. Very very close to the Colorado/Kansas border. I heard last night that they think it may have been a catagory 4...that is pretty bad. The news said that it damaged 32 homes and destroyed another 35. Horrible stuff. There was only one fatality, and although that is very bad, I am just happy there aren't more. My thoughts and prayers are with all of this families that lost their houses and their loved one.

Thanks for thinking of us.

Morning Jamie,

I hope this finds you and your family doing well. I saw on the news last night that there were some tornadoes out your way.... Is everyone okay?

How did the learning breakfast go? Were you able to stick to fruit?

Hope all is well.... Have a great weekend!:cool1:

You are doing great, what restraint resisting the donut! Ice cream is much better, you chose your splurge wisely!

I agree that 1/4c syrup is way too much. I usually have just a little dribble on my pancakes/waffles and fortunately my kids do the same!!

Have a great weekend! :goodvibes

Great job resisting the donut! That is some serious determination. One small cup of ice cream is no biggie and having that small splurge might have kept you from pigging out later from feeling totally deprived. So that was a good thing to eat! I had to laugh at your dh eating a popsicle after working out. Sounds like my husband! You are doing so well with the exercise, you will mkae your March goal easily! Just keep up the good work, you are doing great!

That tornado out near Kansas was scary. F4 is really unuusaly for around here. It was just a weird day that day weather wise. Springtime in Colorado can be very scary in general. And very annoying with this stupid snow and cold weather!

Hello,

I may not get too journals today, but I am going to try. If I dn't please know that I am thinking of each of you!!!

Yesterday was a great day! First off, I ran into my cousin that I have not seen for 8 years. It was weird. She lives in Minnesota and I didn't even know that she was going to be here. I got out of work and decided that it was chilly but I could still walk the mile to my truck. I usually do this walk very fst and get my heart rate going. I try not to walk if the weather is icky though, but yesterday is was not bad. I got almost to the car and I saw her, she didn't recongize me, so I tunred around and said her name. She looked back and then did a double look and about freaked out!!! I wasn't 100% sure it was her, but it turned out it was. We talked for a bit, she is only in town for a few days but it was great to see her. I met her new husband and then they left to continue what they were doing for the day. We were able to get a picture taken, she had her camera. So we will see what it turns out like. I was going to call my mom and tell her but she bowls on Friday nights and i knew that I missed her and I didn't want to call the house for fear that my dad would be sleeping.

So I did well yesterday with food...didn't splurge any. Water and exercise were good too. I really think I am going to make my goal this month. I signed up for the April challenge, this time I am going to try and do 900 minutes. March I did 800, so I thought I would push myself!

Friday
B @ 5:15 two waffles with no butter and half of 1/4 cup syurp
S @ 8:30 sting cheese, ff turkey and mustard
L @ 12:00 ff turkey and cheese sandwich and a serving of goldfish
S @ 3:00 1 granola bar
D @ 6:00 1 1/2 hot dog
Water was good, 96 oz. Still can't get that other 4 oz in
Exercise - 30 minutes on the ellipitcal and 20 minutes weights.

Well i am off for now.

Gave a great day :)

Lamar's donuts.....OUCH!!! You did AWESOME!!!

Glad everyone is doing OK up your way.

Aren't helmets a PAIN!!! I don't know how many we've had problems with.

Have a GREAT weekend!

Thanks for all the encouragement you give! You're the BEST! You WILL make Exercise goal in April! (me too!)

Hello again....I did make it to journals tonight....it was a little late but I made it!!!!

I also made the March challenge. I am at 805/800 as of tonight. I did 25 minutes on stregth training/weights with Bob, the Biggest Loser DVD. It felt goood.

Today was a good day, was not really all that hungry though....think it's because of TOM

B @ 7:00 2 waffles with no butter and 1/8 cup syrup
S skipped, not hungry
L @ 12:30 two slices of frozen pizza
S skipped, not hungry
D @ 5:30 Intended to have a bacon sandwich, but I ended up tossing the bread and hade 8 peices of bacon.
Water was good again, 96 oz.

Tried to get out on the motorcycles but as we started out it was good and then we got about 10 miles from the house it got really cold and windy so we turned around. Hopefully tomorrow. Tomorrow is suppose to be a nicer day. So we will see. I did finally get the helmet thing taken care of. I am still scared to change the visors, but I know how and if I don't think about it I am okay!

Julie, this is the only real problem that we have had. The only other issue that I had is that my first helmet was too big and there was nothing that anyone could do. I had to put my hair up in a pony tail so that it would make my head bigger!!! Sometimes I think they are more trouble than they are worth, but I don't leave the house without it.

Well I hope everyone is having a great day/weekend. Tomorrow starts a brand new month...WOW time flies!!!

Thanks for visiting :)

Happy April Jamie :)
exercise & food is looking great!
Would love to see a pic of you with the motorbike!
I'm frightened to death of them!!!
Have a great week

Good Monday morning....April 2 already. Hard to believe that we are already in April

Yesterday was a good day, I did have a few things that I should not have had, but that is okay!

We didn't do a darn thing yesterday, the weather was nice and we were going to try and get out on the bikes, but we didn't have anywhere to go and it started to get windy. So we stayed home. Good thing too, or I would have missed the Disney "marathon" on the travel channel. We watched that all day. Didn't turn it off. Man I can't wait to go back....I know I have 4 months to go...but I just can't wait.

Sunday:
B @ 8:15 two slices of toast, very little butter
S skipped, again I was not hungry today
L @ 12:45 1 1/2 hot dog, no bun, just low fat cheese and ketchup
S two chocolate chip cookies :(
D @ 6:00 mashed potatoes and 1 biscuit
S @ 7:00 1 popicile :(
Water was good at least. I made 100 oz yesterday!

Yesterday was the first of the month and I didn't exercise...needed a day off. My body was sore from the night before, but I will pick it up again today!

Tracey, I will try and get a picture of me on my bike.....I will let you know! I used to be terrified of them as well, but after I got on one, I loved it!!!

Thanks for stopping by!

Have a great day :)

I taped the Disney marathon on my DVR from the Travel Channel!:thumbsup2 I have seen all of those shows about 50 times each... I'm hoping they come up with a new one soon!:goodvibes (The Animal Kingdom one had a different ending than the one I had seen previously.)

Sounds like you had a good weekend.:goodvibes Hope you have a great week ahead!:cool1:

Hi Jamie, I loved the Disney maraton, I missed some but got out a tape and taped the last few hours. It got me in the mood too (Gee, I wonder if thats the point of those shows ;) ). I think its great you just hung out with the tv all day, somedays you need that! Congratulations on making March challenge, that is awesome! You can do April too! Keep up the good work, you are doing so well!

Good Morning,

Thanks Tracy and Amy. It was great to sit and watch Disney all day!!!!

Yesterday was a good day, I had some moments there when I thought I was going to falter and eat whatever I saw, but I controlled myself. Yesterday was month end for me and that is always a stressful time of the month. I have one team member, I am trying to be nice, she is never a team member who feels that she is not subject to the same rules and guidelines of everyone else. And when she does not have everything completed and to me by the time I said, I make her delete her entries. She gets very upset and has a fit. I go through this struggle each and every month with her. I have talked to her and my manager has talked to her, but she does not get it. She is retiring soon though and I can't wait!! I know that is mean, but she needs to leave. She is not an asset to this company or the department, she is just a pain in the ..... Easiest way I could put it! I do have to say one more thing, I may have mentioned it before, but we have to supervisors here in my department, me and then someone else. She is just as useless as the person I was just talking about. I copied the other supervisor on an email yesterday who was in the office and I get an out of the office reply. She stated that she was in the office, but just really busy. She would return your email when she was not so busy, but if your matter was an emergency, please resend the email and state that it was an emergency. What the he** is up with that. So then I have to take care of all her stuff, which I don't mind, but ugh....it makes me so mad that she can get away with this crap.

Okay, off my work rant.....if not I could go on forever, I have tons of little things like that going on here.

Anyway, I did well on food, I skipped my afternoon snack, I totally forgot about it. I realized I didn't eat when it was almost 6 and I was leaving work starving!!!

Monday:
B @ 5:15 1 cup cheerios, 1 cup milk
S @ 9:30 ff string cheese, mustard, and ff turkey rolled together - YUM!
L @ 12:00 Healthy Choice turkey and potatoes and corn. I picked out the pea pea's and the carrots
S skipped
D @ 7:00 (it took me an hour to get home...missed rush hour too, not sure what the issue was) 2 slices of frozen pizza. I was not in the mood to cook and neither was DH
Water was good, had 64 oz here at work and another 30oz at home.

I walked yesterday but that was it, I walked a total of 40 minutes. I was going to work out after dinner, but I had something weird happen that has not happened in years. Let me start by saying, I have had a bad back ever since I was in my bad car accident in July 1998. So occasionally my back will hurt for months at a time and then stop for a while. currently I am going through my normal monthly back pain that I have had for about 3 months now. I was on my way home, sitting in the truck and all of a sudden both my legs started to ache. It started in my back and went all the way down to my feet. It hurt all the way home (25 miles) Then I got home and if I sat down the pain got worse so I stayed standing. I wanted to take some aspirin but I had not eaten since lunch, and didn't want to take on an empty stomach. Standed while dinner was cooking. Had dinner, took some aspirin and about 30 minutes later that ache in both my legs was gone. I still had the back pain, but that was it. I don't know what that was all about, so I skipped the ellipical and the Bob DVD. I am hoping that I am okay tonight so I can work out. It was just weird. I should probably make an appointment to see the doctor, but I am sure that she is just going to give me drugs and I don't want them!

Well I should get going, need to stop by other journals.

Thanks for stopping by!

Have a great day :)

Jamie, if that continues to happen with your legs I would definitely see a doctor. If they prescribe drugs tell them you want alternative ideas. Or maybe see an ND. Its probably nothing but it could be something like a pinched nerve maybe? I am sorry that you have these two morons to work with. But it doesn't surprise me, every job I ever had there was always at least one or two! The good news is that in spite of this stress you deal with at your job, you are not eating it away but dealing with it. And you continue to exercise which is awesome! So keep that up! I hope the pain is gone and that the rest of the week improves a bit at work! When does Moron #1 retire? Not soon enough I am sure!

Hi Jamie
Sorry work is a pain, i hope (as Amy put it!) Moron #1 retires soon ;)
I also agree with Amy - go to the doc, its better to be safe than sorry!
I wish we got the travel channel over here :(

 Jamie,

I'm sorry to hear about the stress at work.... I hope it gets better for you soon.

I agree with Tracey and Amy...I think it's a good idea to go to the doctor just to be safe.

Hope your week gets much better, WISH sis!

Good Morning,

Thanks Tracey and Amy. So far I am feeling good, I didn't have any pain in my legs yesterday at all. So I am hoping that it was just a fluke. But if it happens again, I am going to make an appointment with the doctor. My work issues...I like Moron # 1, that is good!!!! Well no one knows when she will retire. Last year she told us that she was leaving at the end of the year, nope still here. Now she is telling us it will be this summer, but she does not want to give us an exact date. Not sure why, outside of the fact she is a moron. So I am holding out for June - September......Hopefully!!!!

Yesterday was a good day again, my boss walked into my cubie with a donut....what was she thinking. I so could have taken her for that. But I didn't. It worked out well because it was a chocolate donut and well I don't like chocolate! I worked late so I didn't get any exercise in other than my walking. But I will take it. It's better than nothing

Tuesday:
B @ 5:15 2 waffles with no butter and 1/8 cup syrup
S @ 8:20 ff string cheese, ff turkey and mustard
L @ 12:00 ff turkey and cheese sandwich, 1 serving of goldfish and some strawberries -YUM!
S @ 3:15 1 apple
D @ 7:30 bacon sandwich, tried....but I didn't want the bread again, so I ate just the bacon
Water was good, 100 oz yesterday....YIPPEE I made it!!!!
Exercise - 40 minutes walking. Better than nothing.

Well I am off to other journals....thanks for stopping by and have a great day :)

Wow, you didn't want the bread, you resisted a donut and you don't like chocolate! Can I be you when I grow up?! Tell Moron #1 you are really wanting to plan her retirement party very soon so she needs to stick with a date and leave! I name all the morons in my life, I am up to about #7 last time I checked! Great job getting the walk in, and I am glad your legs feel better. You are doing great!

Amy your so funny :)
& a good idea about telling moron #1 you want to plan a party! But then wouldnt you have to do it?? But then again it would be worth it to see her gone!!!

I wish i didnt like chocolate!
Well done for resisting temtation Jamie :goodvibes

Great job resisting the donuts, Jamie!:thumbsup2

I think Amy's idea of "planning a retirement party" to find out when Moron # 1 is actually retiring is a good idea. :goodvibes You can count the days down to the official date and when that date arrives, everyone will want to party!party: :rotfl:

Hope you have a great day today!:goodvibes
