Good Morning,

Yesterday was a good day...I didn't work out, I started to but I realized I was still a little too sore from the weekend. Man, never again!!! I am hoping I can work out today, I am not feeling anything being sore so I am hoping that I can. We shall see when I get home. I was going to walk this morning, but it was raining and I forgot my rainbrella!! So there went that idea. Maybe this afternoon, they say that the weather is suppose to clear up, so we will see.

I think my food yesterday was good, probably could have been better, but what do ya do!

Monday:
B @ 5:30 1/2 cup cereal with 1/2 cup milk
S @ 8:30 1 cup fresh strawberries with splenda
L @ 12:00 ff turkey and ff cheese with 1/2 cup mac and cheese
S @ 2:30 1 apple
D @ 6:30 1/2 breakfast burrito
Water was good, 96 oz. I can't seem to get that last 4 oz in. I will though, I have done it before, I can do it again!!!

Yesterday was a pretty uneventful day, just busy with work and the puppies.

That food looks great, I think you're going a fantastic job :)

I totally know what you mean about soreness after a good workout. It's kind of a catch 22--do I work out really hard today and maybe not work out tomorrow, or do I do two days of lower impact stuff? It's hard to find the balance.

Hope the rest of your day is kicking butt :)

Thanks Tracey, Tracy and bekkiz :) My friend seems to be doing okay. She went to the doctor yesterday, her pregnancy is progressing pretty good. She is still spotting a bit, but she said that the baby is growing as it should and the heartbeat is going up like it should. So hopefully she can carry this baby to term. The investigation still continues with her DSIL though. I just hope if the boyfriend did it, he gets what is coming to him. Thanks for keeping them in your prayers.

Yesterday was awesome!!! I am so proud of myself. I have a lot of weakness, but two that really get me are ice cream and chocolate chip coookies. Not sure why the cookies since I don't like chocolate, but they do. I had lunch yesterday and I was taking a minute to DIS and a friend came over and had a huge chocolate chip cookie. She asked if I wanted half. Part of me was jumping up saying, YES!!! but then I stopped and realized, nope, I don't need it. So I told her NO THANKS!!!! I resisted the cookie. Now that is not to say that I was not craving it for about 15 minutes after she left my desk, I really wanted to go to her and tell I lied, give me the darn cookie. But I didn't!!! I am so happy for myself!!!!!

I did get my work out in yesterday. I did 30 minutes on the bowflex and 25 minutes cardio with Bob (biggest loser dvd) Man it felt good. I was not sore or anything. Which was really good. I was wondering if I was going to be sore this morning but I was not. I felt really good. Water was good again, 96 oz.

Tuesday:

L @ 11:30 Healthy Choice Mancotti with corn
S @ 2:30 1 apple
D @ 6:00 2 corn tacos with ff cheese and salsa

Willpower, sigh....I only wish I could have done what you were able to do when DH suggested cheeseburgers for lunch yesterday :lmao:

Jamie--glad to hear your friend is doing better. And great job on sticking with your diet! I used to make cookies every week. Had to give it up for dietary reasons! My diet!

Hi Jamie, sorry you and your dh are going through a bit of a rough patch, it happens to all of us married couples! He will get over the inlaws/WDW thing, and maybe that trip will still happen. If not, WDW isn't going anywhere and will be there for another trip! I will really keep your friend in my prayers, it sounds like things are a bit better. She is close to the second trimester and her miscarriage risk should go down quite a bit in the next few weeks. Very nerve wracking for her and all of her friends and loved ones! I hope if the boyfriend is responsible for your friend's sil's death he does get whats coming to him. If it was a suicide he was probably repsonsible for that too in a way. So frustrating when this sort of thing happens. And it happens way too much!

Keep up your hard work and very good job resisting that cookie! I dont' always like chocolate that much either, but I do also love my chocolate chip cookies! I have been mall walking with my parents and there is a Mrs. Field's in that mall. Each day, its all I can do to not break the case open and steal some! You are doing really well with food and exercise through all your stress at work and home. Be really proud of yourself!

Good Morning everyone

Sorry I was MIA the last part of last week, I logged on but I didn't really have the right attitude to come here. I know that sounds terrible, but so many things were going wrong, I didn't really want to post or talk to anyone. Things at home have not gotten any better, DH is still angry with me for some reason. Things at work have started to get better but that didn't happen until late Friday. So I am so sorry everyone

The good news is that even with everything not being the best, I didn't eat the days away. I ate like I have been and I feel really good about it. I did splurge a little last night. We had a friend come over to the house and DH mentioned that we should all go to Chilis. So we did. I didn't really want to. I wanted to stay home and cook dinner, but I didn't want to upset anyone, so I went. I had water to drink, and grilled chicken with a few fries. Not too many. After I ate the fries, I was thinking I should have asked for veggies, but it was too late by then and I was not going to dwell on it. The menu had a really yummy looking apple something or other for dessert, but I decided not to go there. I worked out too hard yesterday morning to blow it on dessert. Although it did cross my mind a few times. But we left and I left the apple something or other behind!

I won't post my food for last week, but it was good. I didn't eat anything I should not have. I resisted another cookie. I don't know why she continues to bring them to me, she knows I don't want them! But then again she kinda drive me nuts. Oh well, I just keep telling her no. Maybe one day she will get the hint that I don't want a coookie. Okay, I want it, but I am not going to have it!!!

Exercise this weekend was good. I worked in the yard, really worked, had to dig up that stupid tree of our neighbors that keeps growing in the yard for 60 minutes. I am counting all that time too. I was jumping up and down on the stupid shovel, up and down on my knees. It was a work out!!! Sunday I did 20 minutes strength training with Bob, and 30 minutes elliptical. I might just make the April challenge after all. I was a little worried at the beginning, but who knows!!!

Yeah, I went through like months of not wanting to talk here too. But we're glad you came back :)!

Great job sticking to your guns and staying healthy. It's great that you're proud of the smart eating and exercise. You're doing awesome!

I forgot to mention that I have decided to do the Biggest Loser 12 week challenge. I was reading the Biggest Loser book and they have a 12 week exercise "challenge" that I am going to try. They start you out doing cardio for 3 times a week 20 - 30 minutes a week. Then each week the time and the incline of the work out goes up. I have been doing this for the most part, but I want to try and get up to the 45 minutes on the cardio machine. Something I have only done a handful of times.

So we will see how it goes!!!
 
Hi Jamie, I am sorry things aren't better between you and your dh, I'll swear its in the air, we've had two nasty spats around here lately! I hear you on just sometimes not having the mental capacity to WISH, I have been the same way. I know I am down and out when I don't even the energy to cyber chat! But this is a new week for all of us and it will be better! You are doing great on your food, EXCELLENT job resisting the dessert at Chili's. And tell the chocolate chip cookie lady you love her cookies but if you were an alcoholic would she bring you a shot of tequila? Dh's cousin gave us a bunch of cookies on Saturday night and I ate three for breakfast. Too hard to resist! Keep up your great work with food and exercise, things between you and dh will be on the mend soon. :hug:
 
Good Morning WISH'ers!! Thanks for the kind words Amy! I told the chocolate chip cookie lady that I appreicate her and her cookies, but right now I really don't want any. But thanks! She understood, but she is one of those people that says "Oh a little bite won't hurt you, you can just work out a little longer to burn off this cookie" She would probably just say that same thing with alchol, just drink a lot of water, that will flush the extra liquor out!

Yesterday was great all the way around. I felt good, DH and I are getting better.....he actually talked to me like he wanted to have an actual conversation with me. I still don't know what is bothering him, I believe it's the WDW thing. He told me to do something, I did and he didn't like the outcome....but I can't be sure of that. He does not want to talk about that, so we don't. I ate good yesterday, drank my 100 oz of water and I got my work out it. I was very happy!!!!

The weather here is icky today, I was hoping to get out for my walk, but that does not look like it's going to happen. It's suppose to rain all day and it could mix with snow. And it's windy and cold, tomorrow is suppose to be a little better, not too much, but not all day rain I don't think. Maybe I can get out tomorrow and walk. I am just ready for the warm weather, stop with the rain and snow and cold. But I know we need to moisture, so I should stop complaining I guess!!

Monday:

Dont worry about not wanting to 'talk' on the journals, we all need a break sometimes. And true friends understand that, give you your space & are there for you when you need them (us ;))

Food looks AWESOME. So healthy and full of nutrients. I bet it makes you have lots of energy. And so much water--that's quite an accomplishment :)
