James and Jeffrey PJ - 05/10/11 - SBP/Attic/UK DP/Wedding Day 2 Arrival

Aw!! We'll be here for you to help you through. We've missed you on here so I look forward to seeing you on again.

Best Wishes for you, hubbie, and the lil ones for 2011!!

My sister told me I need to update my blog about wedding info because it there was nothing about it anymore. Well here is an update Tina. Jeff and I are discussing if we are going to be able to have our wedding this year at Disney World. Reality is setting in and bills, children, Christmas and bathroom renovation are catching up to us and we are not certain Disney is in the budget anymore. We have a little less than half saved and don't know where the rest is coming from. We might have to wait another year or just cancel. We are going to really have to sit down and take a long hard look at it. Will keep you posted.

In the end...the only thing that matters is that the two of you have a special day to celebrate what is important to you. The location and all of the sparkle really don't matter. You can always have a VR later on at Disney if it is important to you. Best of luck in what ever you decide. One of the best things that I have learned from my husband is to make a decision then make it the right decision. Never look back with the if only or what if...just make it the right decision for you.

I totally agree with Dolly!! All that matters is that the two of you have a special day!! Hope it all works out for the best even if you have to postpone. Keep us posted. We are all here for you!!

I echo what everyone else has said. It sounds like you have a very busy life and I applaud you for being a foster family because I realize it's very rewarding but equally difficult. I have a co-worker who is a foster dad and he goes through a lot of heartbreak. A wedding is not the most important thing; it's the marriage that's important, and whatever path you take will be magical. I wish you the best in your decision making and hope you both end up getting the day of your dreams!!

Thinking of you both and I know you will make the decision that is right for you both and the boys. Much love to you all!!!

I totally agree with everyone else. All that matters is the two of you celebrating this wonderful occassion which can take place at Disney, at home, or wherever. :) Keep us all posted and heck, even if you decide to do a small ceremony at home, come on here and let us all know about the details. We'd all love to hear about your plans because you are such a wonderful, kind, and caring person. :goodvibes

Thanks everyone for your support. Jeff and I have decided come hell or high water we ARE going to have our Disney Fairy Tale wedding. It may mean cutting to the bone but we will figure it out. Guess it is time to contact Shelley and get those save the dates out.

WOOOHOOOO!!! Can't wait to see how it all comes together. You will have a beautiful wedding even if you have to cut the heck out of everything!!!!

YEAH! However it goes down, it will be great!!!!

We decided our colors are going to be navy, yellow, and silver. I chose the colors and said I was going to stick to them. So far so good. However, over the past couple of months, as I have tried to work with them I have become less and less enchanted with them. Blue and yellow (gold) were the colors of my High School and lets just say being gay in a small town creates a bit of trauma. I also blame my sister,:goodvibes because she mentioned it the first time she saw the colors and she PLANTED the seed. The truth is also I have a passion for pink. I know it is a cliche but I just have a fondness for it and do not shy away. So I have been asking myself why have I been shying away from the pink? Why am I so afraid of it? Anyone who has been invited to the wedding, I think, would be surprised actually at the lack of my favorite color. Today it happened. As I was browsing through an old Martha Stewart Weddings magazine (could I be an even bigger cliche...yes I can) I saw the color combination that I wanted. It is a great use of navy and pink and I am in love, love, love. Now the focus will be primarily the navy but I have no problem adding the pink into shirts, ties, flowers and smaller accents.

I just love the way they look together and I think I can butch it up some, but seriously we are two men getting married if I wanted butch I would be 100% straight:lmao: So here for your opinion are a couple of pictures.

Let me know what you think.

I love love love the color combo - wow I love the 2 colors together so much more than I ever would have thought if you had just posted "pink and navy" without the photos - you're lucky my wedding is done, or I might steal that idea!!

BTW - congrats with sticking with your dream venue....there are so many places to cut corners and still have the event of your dreams...Happy (Continued) Planning!!!

Love the pink and navy colour scheme!!!!

thanks both of you. Jeff seems down with the new color scheme so now I just have to contact Diane, Elizabeth and Shelley to see if I have time to change the yellow to pink. I can't imagine there will be a problem. We shall see.

Today starts the Disney diet. Last night I had a piece of carrot cake (my favorite at Disney) because I am going to not to eat a ton of junk until we go. I just need to lose two sizes to get back to a respectable weight for the wedding. I am pushing 40 and know I am never going to be the size I was in my 20's. I need to stop eating the kids junk and exercise. I think I might take the kids for a walk around the block today. Wish me luck.

I'm trying to get back into shape AFTER my wedding and vacation (I put on 10 lbs on vacation and another 5 over the holidays) - I've been keeping a food journal at fitday(dot)com and also drinking lots of tea and water during the day. I feel like every year I eat healthy just so I can go on vacation and throw out all of my progress!! It's worth it though - I love eating whatever I want at Disney....good luck getting in shape!
