sorry...there is no glitter tonight....but maybe on the final version. Here is the first trial of welcome bags. I have to stop making trial versions and get these things done.

The colors are not the ones we will be using. We just wanted to try it out to see how they will look. I have been online looking for other fabrics. You can't see it but there was a little blood shed during the making of this craft. The tradition remains alive and well. Let me know what you think. Are these cute enough for welcome bags?

You know what makes if feel real is the updated timeline sent by Diane (wedding planner) and it remined me that our minimum deposit is due in February. Now that we have the STDs out, and people are responding, it is pretty set in stone that we are going to have to PAY for the wedding. Until now it was a concept so far in the distance we did not have to really think about it. I think it is time to start thinking about it.

I wouldn't worry to much about things holding you up though. You are much further along than we are and I am certain you will end up with the VR of your dreams.

My sister and I are working on it. We made a list yesterday and going to start working on getting stuff to put in them. First I need fabric we are happy with. I will keep everyone updated once I finally get some suff to actually put in them.

I love your welcome bags! They are super cute! And you totally reminded me that I STILL need to finish ours! I've had the bags for ages but still havent got round to printing our logo on them! We're due to pay in Feb too...I'm actually looking forward to paying them!

Any idea on whether you will make them all the same design? As in using the same 4 pieces of fabric or do you think you might pick up 8 pieces of fabric to kind of switch them around? LOL, I know I'm making it complicated huh.

It's always scary when making payments - not least because of the effect it has on your bank balance!!!
All my deposits are paid now but come March all the balances need paying, and that will be a heck of an outlay. I fear my bank mananger will not be best pleased with me!!!!

You know I can't wait to see what I am going to put in them also. I have grand plans but like to wait until the last minute to complete projects. It will probably be sticks of gum and whatever I can buy at a gas station on our way to Disney is my guess. Slim Jims for everyone! I am going to have to make sure I wait until I get into the southern states. I will at least have a chance of finding Disney items I can put into the bags. Maybe I can even find Disney themed Slim Jims.

I read on another PJ somewhere here that a bride emailed companies saying she liked their products and wanted to give some out in her welcome bags. She said quite a few of them ended up sending her enough samples that she didn't have to buy them! I've started to do the same (as in, I sent 2 emails last night) on the off chance that I have the same luck. Anyway, I figure there's no harm in asking! Plus, if they do send stuff, it's less to buy!
