Got a question I think no one has asked yet...

How's the AKL Concierge Lounge's coffee? Is it that nasty Nescafe stuff? I read somewhere that it comes out of this fancy newfangled machine and you have a choice between latte, hot chocolate, etc. with a touch of a button. Now did I just imagine reading that? :coffee:

Thanks, the info is much needed. :worship:

Raina

True, all TRUE!! And just WAIT till you try the African wine in the concierge lounge.... :woohoo:

We were there a few years ago, celebrating lots, they left a great giraffe cake for us as well as some Africian perfume. They made everything so special. Also stayed at Poly. It was great but AKL is our favorite

..... :thumbsup2

Does anybody know how late the pool is open??

Also, what are the best drinks at the poolside bar??

Thanks!

Hi :wave2:

I asked these questions on the FAQ thread, but this thread seems to get more action so I'll ask them here! :thumbsup2

1. Does anyone know where the smoking/pool view rooms are located? Any kind of requests I should make regarding floor or specific area?? :)

2. I'm assuming that turndown service is available upon request in the non-concierge rooms. Is this correct?

That's it for now, thanks! :sunny:

Welcome to the thread  SeaSpray
Yes turndown service is available upon request in no CL rooms. I'm not sure about your first question, but I really like the Zebra trail side for its close location to the Mara (not sure if the smoking rooms are scattered or one general area).

Thanks scoutsmom and kimmar! So you're best guess would be the Zebra trail, 4th floor?? :)

Y'all are the worst. This thread keeps poping up and reminding me of how much I want to stay at AKL this June. If a good AP rate is released covering my dates (06/10 - 06/18) I'm taking it!

Going to AKL at the end of the month .... we started off trying to get ressies at CBR ... and no double occupancy rooms.

So we go for Savannah at AKL ... SOOOOO EXCITED!

First time there .... funny thing is that we just had an adults only trip a month ago at BC.

We are planning on doing a lot like the last trip .. but it looks like there are a ton of activities at AKL. I know DD would love the cookie decorating.

i love that Arusha Rock view! i'm sure it would be great for people watching, too.
