Does anyone know if any of the standard rooms are beside the walkway to
the bus stop ? Thanks,

Yes, but they are not ground-level (only on the side facing the pool)...the std rooms which face the parking lot are on the third floor....

.....I noticed that your countdown timer says "first time"; i that the first time to WDW or AKL??

Has anyone ever had the banana-stuffed french toast from room service at AKL? How is it? How does it compare to Tonga Toast from the Kona Cafe??

Thanks :sunny:

we visted Animal Kingdom in 1999 (only spent 1/2 a day there while in florida for the daytona 500) so that's all I've ever seen of WDW and needless to say we just loved it...so to me this is "officially" our first trip to Disney since we are going to see all of it and to top if off are staying at AKL :cheer2: :yay:
as soon as i started researching i just knew it was where we had to be. not be all mushy & stuff but i was actually in tears looking at some of the photos (especially oldpooh's - i think that was the name) it is just sooo beautiful.

Hello,

Anybody know where I can get a list of this years activities during Easter week?

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks
RayJay

Just found out we're staying at the AKL on our upcoming trip in April. Thanks for all the great info on this thread. Now if only Disney would get my trip details here so i can make my ADR's, etc.

Hi :wave2:

I have a couple of AKL questions. :smooth:

Is a king bed considered an upgrade, or is it a request? We're booked in a pool view room, and I'm not sure what my bedding options are. It'll be just DH and I on this trip, so we don't need bunk beds, or even the second queen bed. Is there such a thing as a pool view room with a king bed? Also, we've requested a smoking room because DH smokes on occasion and likes to have that option. SO, is there a smoking/pool view/king bed room in existence?? LOL

Also, how late at night can you use the Night Vision goggles? Do you have to pay to use/rent them?

Thanks for any input on these questions, I'm sure I'll have more questions before our trip in May. :sunny:
