Gdad,
What waterproofing do you use for your camera?
I'm assuming it's in a housing, not just a cheapy disposable?

I scuba dive and am looking for a new digital + housing, so am curious....

Those were taken with my 'work' camera - a Pentax W20 - I inspect construction sites so I bought it for durability- water and dust proof. It is a 7mp digital P&S waterproof to 6'. This was my first try in using it underwater. I think it cost about $240 from B&H.

You may want to check out the EWA Marine Bag - I am considering this myself. Here is a link to a discussion and some examples on the photography board - http://disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1301265

Gdad,

Really enjoyed your slideshow. What beautiful pictures! Your two princesses are adorable!

Amazing pictures Gdad, thanks so much for sharing! I love your pictures of the castle... I used the one of mickey and walt with the castle in the background as my desktop lol.

Thanks. We had a pool view room - it had the bunk beds and a queen size. We were on the 1st floor in the last room on the end next to the fitness center and door to the pool - #1030 I think. We liked the room a lot.

Your snaps are so great! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

I should have posted this with the pics, but I forgot!

I was lucky enough to catch the animals waiting to go back to the barn on video- they were hilarious! The giraffes kept running straight at the ankole cattle to make them scatter- "bowling for cattle!", and when the gates finally did open, the animals went in species order!

I posted it on YouTube- it's a little long, but if you pretend hard enough, you may be able to convince yourself you're there!

Awesome video, Crystal!! :thumbsup2

Thanks Gdad - those pictures are GREAT! Sigh...only 298 more days...:sad2:

WOW Crystal! That is awesome! Is that at a public viewing area? You have definately made every shadow of doubt I still had about AKL go away with that video! :goodvibes DD came in while I was watching it to asked me what I was listening to and just sat down with her jaw open when I told her that was at AKL. It has officially become her new "sweet 16" trip place to be between your video and gdad's pictures. :woohoo: She made me promise that we could stay there lol ... little does she know. :rolleyes1
BTW for you seasoned AKL people I have decided to give Boma a try our first night at Disney. I had really thought we would wait and eat somewhere we could watch the electric water parade but I think I really want to spend our first day at AKL and enjoy it. We will just hop over to another one of the resorts to watch the parade later. Anyway what is the best time to try and get an ADR for Boma if I want to catch the parade somewhere else? Would 6 be to late to give us enough time to enjoy our meal? I know I need to add a little more time to allow for DS being in the wheelchair in case we have bus issues.

Wonderful Video, absolutely loved watching it!

Really enjoyed the video. My son was cracking up, watching the giraffes...

On another note... I mentioned a few posts back that I requested a room near the elevators because of a bad knee. The response was to request a room near the lobby, right? What about wording a request so that we are also conveniently on Zebra Trail?

Did you reserve savannah view or pool view? I reserved pool view and requested nonsmoking, Zebra Trail, close to lobby, third or fourth floor (in that order - nonsmoking was most important). Hopefully since it is a slower time of year they'll be able to meet the request. Since you have a medical issue with your knee I would think they would be able to do it for you.
