Wendy that is a great design I really like it. I wish I had the patience and time to try and do the designs.

...I'm just gonna check with the 'Tecchies' to make sure it's sized properly...then, of course if Wendy permits, you guys can copy it onto your avatar..... :teeth: ...sound good, Wendy??

The Wanyama safari was entirely on paved roads for us. The service roads they use throughout the various savannahs gave plenty of access to the animals. We were able to stand up in the back of the truck pretty much the entire time. I don't think you'll have any problem at all.

Bob

I was wondering if you had a picture of the ride vehicle. I use a wheelchair and the modified truck/vans with the covered roof wouldn't give me the greatest view. But I understand they were going to start using more accessble vehicles this year. Seeing one would help assure me that this would work.

Ok so I was reading another thread with an AKL question and found this quote from someone who will remain anonymous:

" I would not stay at the AKL for a park intensive stay. It is not a very convenient resort for any of the parks but AK. In fact, in the off season, the AKL often departs the lodge, then goes to the AK, then to its destination. This can take forever. Especially considering the fact that you are looking at a standard view, I would stay away from the AKL. I would recommend the WL instead. Similar theme, some wildlife, boat transportation to MK, CR & FW. Between these two, the WL wins hands down." (end quote)

Now there were no Wild Bunch people on this thread so I already take what this person says with a grain of salt especially since I know how good the transportation is.

My questions is...is the highlighted area fact or fiction????

Now I only have been there in June and Aug and I know this is not true but if I go there in Oct for my Dinseymoon will this occur? TIA

Oh PS I am wearing down DFi about going to Disney for our Honeymoon!!! He says only if we stay AKL or GF!!! So AKL it may be (maybe 1 night at GF). I'll keep ya posted!

Thanks for the great pics, goin2disneyagain!

Cool sign, Wendypooh!

I am trying to remain positive as Dad and Mom almost had panic attacks when I mentioned my sister's and my trip to WDW in 4 weeks today. Hopefully they will calm down and we can go. She has made tremendous progress this week so I am praying that it continues.

We stayed at AKL in November, off season, and although the transportation was a bit slow getting to us, I don't remember ever doing the AK run on the way to or from anywhere. Most of the time the buses were pretty quick, but there was a day or two when me might have waited 1/2 hour....but probably because we just missed the darn bus a few minutes berfore we got there! We are definately planning to stay there next year as long as we can get a good rate again, which I'm sure we will. It's so wonderful there, and to be honest, I didn't think I was going to like it! BUT I DID, OH BOY, I DID!!!

We were just at AKL not just 15 minutes ago, and I proudly report nothing has changed, all is well and life is good. Unfortunately, we had to come home to our house in Celebration (aw, shucks) and could not stay, but the 8 PM drums were in place, Victoria Falls and Boma and Jiko were all thriving.

I am so jealous!!!!!!!!
