Really?!! COOL!!! Can you clarify? In-room breakfast...does that count as a TS or CS? What about dinner in your room? If I can't get ressies to Boma (sore subject) maybe eating on our balcony would be a nice trade off...

...gee, ya know, I'm not sure if it's considered TS or CS.....as for the Boma ressies, I couldn't make any for dinner EITHER....I tried calling 'Dining' from my room, with no luck. Finally, on the third day there, I went directly to the Boma podium, where I was the happy recipient of some .....they were able to 'squeeze' us in that night (make sure to mention that you are a guest of AKL....)

That's what the CM's keep telling me when I call (every single day for almost a month now), but if they keep telling me that, I'm sure they're telling everyone else too so I don't want to rely on that route unless I have to. So for the next 36 days I'll continue to call and bug the CM's...

.... ...BTW ~ we also managed to get Boma ressies for breakfast, too.....YUMMY!! (they DON'T serve zebra domes at breakfast, though.... )

Welcome back Kimmar!! I can't wait to hear all about your trip. How were the crowds at the parks?

I was able to add breakfast at Boma to one of my days. In fact, I called the other day to make a few changes and was able to get everything I wanted. It could be because I'm a party of one though. I don't usually have any issues getting the places/dates/times I want, so I attribute it to that. I already had dinner ressies at Boma that I booked ages ago. I can't wait to try the breakfast!!

My SIL (she wants to come down with us in Dec) is down there now checking out the hotels, she told me they went into the AKL it was loud,crowded and dark. Tried to talk her in off the ledge "its very crowded with the free dining plan,alot of people = alot of noise,it's the themeing with the dark wood" Oh well I'm not going to make myself crazy trying to convince her.

She did like the CSR though

...notice the two heads to the right...that is Bell Services (to its left is the check-out line for ME, which is right behind those double columns on the right...)...and to the left of Bell Services is THIS:

...this is on the wall (on your left) as you enter Ostrich Trail....if you look closely, you can see the beads [on the green tags]that you can earn if you participate....

We had three rooms:

2 standard-view rooms ( no room at the 'inn'!) and our room was a pool-view room...the three rooms were on the Giraffe Trail (VERY convienient!)our on the 3rd floor and the std rooms on the 4th...on the way to our room, we passed Zawadi Marketplace:

....about halfway down the corridor (Giraffe Trail) was a seating area next to a pair of elevators, which lead directly to the first floor and the pool area. This is the door that you use to go from those elevators to the pool:

...as I exited these doors to explore the surrounding area, I butterfly flew right past me and landed on a bush:

Once outside the AKL, I looked for my room for a view from the outside:

...it was the red balcony, directly over the Fitness Center....
