The Segway would be a LOT easier than the Driving Experience, no doubt. I had looked at the Petty thing as something I might possibly do on our anniversary day while Susan was otherwise engaged, but as you will see when the rest of the report is posted, it just wouldn't have worked. At least I've left something for next time!

Thanks for the review of the ST. About half of our group will be enjoying this tour in January, and it was nice to get a preview in July. I looked at teh RP driving experience for my DH, but he really does not think he wants to do it on the next trip, so I'm glad I decided not to surprise him.

I would call AKL directly, wouldn't you? I mean, about the bunkbeds. I am amazed that this would be an upgrade.

On a better note, don't y'all just love pulling up under the big overhang and walking into that lobby, smelling that smell, looking at the big, beautiful lobby and hearing tha music? Nothing like it. And I live about 7 minutes from AKL! I am SO not burnt out and so love AKL! My son will say, "Mommy, can I go to Simba's?" My reply is, "Okay, if you really want to." JUST SAVE ME A SEAT AT VICTORIA FALLS!

So how were the other soups? Which ones did you try? The only I really have had is the carrot ginger and I loved it. I must do that culinary tour again with my DH. He hadn't done it yet. He did say when we go back he'll go to Jiko's with me. I've got my dancin' boots on now.

Seriously, I've booked standard twice now, well 3 times actually, (just booked a room only today, and made the same request) I've requested bunk beds each time. I would have it noted on your reservation ASAP!!!!!!!!! It can't hurt!!!

glad I'm not the only one with a missing ticker or two...I was worried they had gone the way of the one kimmar had for awhile.

I decided to just keep CBR for my late September trip...for now. I could swing part of my trip for AKL, but I decided if I was going to do that I would want my entire trip at AKL. So if the funds materialize I'm going to switch to all 10 nights at AKL

Yep we are arriving on the 2nd ...sometime around 12:30pm-1:00pm at the lodge! That is so awesome you guys are staying an additional 3 days extra I wish we were staying longer, but niether my mother or sister can.

The puppy has been so active and into everything!!! I think I forgot how much work they are. There has never been a dull moment with him yet and he is picking up on things very fast.

I am guessing the pic of the boma buffet is dinner buffet. The zebra domes have gotten my attention and I am going to HAVE to try them while we are there on our honeymoon. is doing breakfast and dinner at boma's to much, or do you guys have suggestions on which one is better. I will do both if they are both worth it but at least one for sure. I want those zebra domes lol.

I'll double check the photo of DInosaur!

I'm up to about 45 pages now and am almost done with the actual trip. It'll take me a bit to get everything laid out on web pages with pictures and all, but I'm hoping to have it done real soon. I DID go back and put a background behind the link list on the left so you can actually read the links!
