When i checked in at the checkin desk, the desk clerk gave me the wrong meal plan brochure . She gave me the Magic your way dining brochure even though my card said, ''Platimum plan''. This also happened at the Pop Century with the premium plan last year.

I wasn't given any park maps, which I thought you're supposed to receive at check-in? All I received was our "key to the world" cards, a printout explaining what we were entitled to with the dining plan, and a map of the resort with our room location highlighted.

Wow no park maps?! I was given a big folder with all the parks information.

Wow-its great to start reading this board again.... I haven't posted in over a month and a half...I have a lot of catch up reading to do...

Everything is fortunately calming down now but the last month has been particularly rocky...DH has to travel a lot for work now and DS and DD were having a tough time getting adjusted... and yours truly found herself in the hospital admitted with a funny EKG which luckily turned out to be a false alarm... but well you know its been interesting...

Which is why it is wonderful to have a place to escape to....lol

Can anyone provide me with a index of the past month's postings....

Still going in December-so Pysched!!!!

I thought this was cute. The only time we saw giraffes from our room was when a truck (with food) came out. The giraffe KNEW what it was...he stood & blocked it! Then another giraffe from the barn joining him/her and they followed the truck, only to never be seen (by us) again!

I didn't notice any construction but that doesn't mean it was done. This was one of the "last minute" photos I took of the resort before heading to the airport so I may have just overlooked it.

...oh no, you DEFINITELY would have noticed....it was all blocked off with wood....coming out of the doors from Jiko/Boma to go towards the pool area, you would have had to stay to the left as you were walking out....

A bit of concern has popped up....
My friends soon to be x-husband hasn't gone to sign the official papers so she can take the kids out of the country without him!! Yikes!!! I think he's just trying to make it difficult and stressful for her!

On a lighter note...
I got in on the Fantasmic/Hollywood and Vine dinner package!!! It was a last minute thing so I was happy to get an addy. I love that restaurant and am excited to see the show. I've never seen Fantasmic!!!

After much internal debate (you know how you can drive yourself crazy after making your reservations), I have switched our hotel from POFQ to AKL. This is a trip I'm taking with my DD 14 and I wanted it to be a really fun and different experience for her. We will be there Dec. 7-12. We have stayed at POFQ and it's a very nice resort but I don't think it holds much for a 14 yr. old. She's very excited and we can't wait to go!!

Good for you, dogsmom. I think you'll be much happier at AKL. Have fun planning! Have you ever eaten at Sci-Fi? My teenagers love that place! The other fun one is Rain Forest. Yum! Great drinks, too!

We just got back from AKL concierge and had a wonderful time. We had lots of good times and a few aggravations. I will post a report soon! We did the sunset safari w/dinner at JIKOs and it was awesome. More soon
