I've stayed many times at Disney over the years, from value resorts to every club level and the decline has been worse at club level resorts; you have to very firm and persistant on what you expect from club level,keep bugging them till u get what u want,heck for money i'm sure they know four seasons down the street!

Sorry to hear about the AKL troubles. I had to ask for my own birthday button at GF RPC last month, so I hear you!! It's funny, I found more magic in the PARKS last month vs. the resort, which is kind of opposite of prior trips.
 
I hope people step up and complain about how the CL services seem to be disappearing (at the same time that the price for staying CL has never been higher)... I was ok with no check-in gift, but I would have been upset if we didn't have the nightly turndown. (It seemed "standard" at both the BC and the GF last week -- I didn't have to ask for it. But there was no mouthwash or toothbrushes, or anything extra in the toiletries they left.

Sorry you are experiencing all of this, but it looks like you are making the most of your birthday trip. Happy early birthday! :)
 

Just back to the room and it is dirty. We don't have time for them to clean now because we have to shower and get ready for dinner. They say they'll be back in an hour to clean it. I mentioned to the CL CM about the turn down and he said "due to operational changes we don't offer turn down service anymore". I don't know what is going on but I'm getting annoyed with the whole situation. At this point I just hope they clean our room today.
So glad you had a wonderful EPCOT day, I am so sorry Erika for all the frustration. I find it aggravating and I'm not even there. If I was there I'd be flipping my lid. So sorry, hope they clean the room (how sad is that to have to wish for that) :hug:
 
That cupcake looks awesome! I was torn on where to eat at Epcot this weekend...Sunshine seasons, Mexico or France and I think you just sealed it for me!
As far as the room issues.... I know it's not the way that you wanted to spend this trip but that is just NOT acceptable at the price point that you are paying. Heck, that's not acceptable even for a value room. So keep speaking up, the squeaky wheel gets the oil....unfortunately.

I love all your goodies and that you are not letting this ruin your vacation!
 
Erika, please ask for compensation!!!! you deserve it as many years you been going,i'm sure you can get 50% off one night! That's ridiculous the service your receiving. I'm telling you the right manager will take care of you! It's worked for me! Tell them you want to be move to another club level hotel,the'll start to get the message! Please be proactive.
 
It should be the same service across all Disney resorts for every single guest. Once Disney wises up and hires me as the Director of Club Level Continuity then I'll make sure this doesn't keep happening. ;) LOL

Unfortunately the only thing that CL across the resorts is being consistent about lately seems to be the decline in services.

I am very jealous about that lemon cupcake. That will be the first thing I eat next time we go to Epcot, no matter what else is going on!

My daughter and I debated for days between the purple shirt you bought and the one with Stitch. It was close but we both ended up getting the Stitch one. Now I may have to order the purple one on the app thanks to you.....

I'm a big cheerleader for Disney resorts and for club level. I won't let this rough start deter me from returning to CL in the future, but on the other hand I want to know what the amenities are so I know what I'm getting.
 
Until the level of compensation they are handing out equals the amount saved from cuts they will continue. Policy is now to deal with guests on a case by case basis. They hand out extra FP's, children's gifts, free meals/ dinners until is escalates to free nights. They have no incentive to return to the levels of service CL used to provide.

There is so much to pick from = everyone is happy.
