JAMBO Everybody...An August 2011 TR (Completed May 13)

:rotfl2: Were you going into withdrawal when your slushie was gone??? :rotfl2: Your face in that last picture is too funny. Your face says, "Ok, Ok, enough of this picture taking - I need another drink".

I absolutely love the pictures of you and Jasmine. I like how you have the matchy, matchy black and white thing going on. Very nice!

Great update. so much fun to read!

-That's such a good pic of you and Jasmine!
-They are so cute together :)
-It's neat to hear everyone's opinions about the resorts! My pick would be the poly or the new animation resort!
-It's funny because my mom has never tried that one--she did the grand marnier last trip and we both thought it was DELISH! (shhhhh!)
-How sweet! They are adorable together!
-LOVE the profile pic! How cute!

Phew, I'm finally caught back up on your TR after our trip!:thumbsup2

I'm thinking more and more we'll have to plan a trip to AKL now... I'm half considering surprising my DH with a long weekend for Valentines day, if I can work out the details. We ate dinner at Jiko and spent some time walking around the resort beforehand. Besides the bus service only "feature", I feel could quickly become a favorite resort!!!

Looks like your MK day was great, and I'm soooo glad I'm not the only person who gets giddy over GGS. That poor boy at the cart, he must get that all the time. :lmao:

Lovely pictures, can't wait to read more!

Hey hun, I sure missed you whilst at Disney World and thought of you during our visit to AKL and then on seeing the Grey Goose Slushie in France!

I'm so happy that you enjoyed the basket and what Queen forgot to mention is that she has been ever so helpful in helping me through a difficult time when she had enough worries of her own...she sure is a great friend! :goodvibes

I'm playing catch up...yay on having a great meal at Raglan Road! The food sure looks yummy.

Your pics of MK are making me wish I was still there...we had the same with the family of the day. They were already there and didn't arrive on the train.

Lol the interaction with the fairies sounds hilarious! I'm glad you got to stay in the photo.

Love the AKL pool pics...what a great relaxing day.

Yay on getting your GGS and how happy you look with that in your hand! :thumbsup2 I'm going to guess you went to Le Cellier for dinner - looking forward to finding out. Once again I'm glad to be able to speak with you again...sure missed you.

I popped over because I wasn't sure if I was all caught up...it simply made me want a drink--rough day and Back to School Night tonight. Think the parents would like me more if I served GGSs? :lmao:

DEFINITLY!!!! :thumbsup2 :lmao:

I know I would!! What grade do you teach? My daughter's a band teacher, perhaps I should give her this suggestion for her parent/teacher night! :rotfl2:

Debbie

I just loved this update! First of all I got to see pictures of our DVC home, the Boardwalk! You definitely need to stay there someday soon! Nothing beats that walk over to Epcot for dinner! My favorite way to spend a Disney evening is also just wandering through the World Showcase. That is what is so great about the Boardwalk. It makes it so easy!

great idea to take the boat over :) I just recently took my first ride on the epcot resort boats and absolutely loved it! now it is a must do for me!!! Cute that jeff loved the swan and dolphin. My brother was going to stay there for his honeymoon but after a bad experience with trying to get dining reservations and having complications due to the weird swan and dolphin policies they switched to wilderness lodge. Swan and dolphin is definitely very pretty! Also love that jasmine and jeff were debating about their dream resort. He is defintely a keeper :) MM sleeping is adorable :) Love the recieving and drinking the GGS pics :) My mom offically is making that drink a priority this trip. she realized she needs a new disney drink because she doesn't love the mexico margaritas anymore :( I love that last pic of jasmine and jeff with the canadian mickey heads :) I love how each country in world showcase has disney stuff themed specifically for their country. I'm guessing either france or lecellier for your dinner because those are the two countries featured in this post.

It's a must do for us too...it's my fav mode of transportation! I would pick WL over Swolphin too:rotfl2: MM is adorable isn't she:cutie: she cracks me up, she is seriously a hilarious kid:lovestruc I fell in love with the margaritas this trip too, but I still love my GGS the best! Yup...girl you're right, one of your choices is where we went!!!

gotta love the Gray Goose!!!

you sure do!!

MM was so cute falling asleep on the boat!

GGS....I'm so jealous. I want one right now.

Dinner ressie. I don't know! I'm gonna say.....Teppan Edo? (I'm probably so wrong). :lmao:

I want one too....let's go!! Wouldn't it be nice if it was that easy!

Teppan Edo...nope, but boy does that sound good right about now!

Queen, I had one of those days--oh to be in Epcot with a GMS!

Love your pics from the boat--if I'd ever get back to my report, I have very similar pictures... :goodvibes

Thanks for the update; hope you are having a good week!

Oh no...oh to be in Epcot is right....I hate "those" kinds of days!! Hope it's gotten better!

Can't wait to see your pics! I am having a good week ... thanks my friend:hug:

My mouth is now watering for a grand marnier slushie!! yum!! :lmao:

Great idea to take the boat and check out the other resorts. That was something we ran out of time for too!!:confused3

Great Photos!

Debbie

After the gorgeous weather we've been having I could go for one too!!

Grey Goose Slushie :lovestruc

Awww....what a sweet pic of MM. So cute!!

Jasmine and Jeff look sooooo happy together.

Love the pic of you and Jasmine. Two beautiful ladies!

They are so happy together and they are fun to be around! Aww thank you so much for your kind words:hug:

I loved the update! So many cute pictures of all of you! The traditional one of you and Jasmine is my favorite though :goodvibes

Great pictures of the Epcot resort area! I can't wait to stay at one of those again next year :)

Since you started at France and ended at Canada, I'm thinking LeCellier for dinner?

It's my favorite too! I hope I get many more over the years!

I cant' wait to hear which one you choose!!

Great guess!!!

I love how nobody really cares who's watching them at Disney, we try on hats and do silly things. It's so much fun. Love that picture with the Canadian beanies! Even my DH who does not get silly in public was trying on hats and being silly at Disney.:cool1:

It is fun and I love when I see people just throwing caution to the wind and having a ball!! I was sure they were going to buy them, but nope, just the picture!
An evening walking around World Showcase sounds great! Love the pictures from the boat ride too.
Love WS in the evening! Thanks:goodvibes
Not sure if I have posted or not yet, but I just wanted to say great update! We also love being at World Showcase at night when we are down there. And seeing this trip through Jeff's eyes is really fun.

But the picture of you and Jasmine in front of the fountain is a great photo. Loved it. And I would also like to say that your shirt is adorable. Just love it as well.

Keep up the great job! :flower3:

Thank you so much:goodvibes There is nothing like seeing it through someone else's eyes that's for sure!

Thank you so much...I think of all the pictures over the years, its one of the ones I will cherish the most! I bought that whole outfit the day before we left and then went back to buy the shirt in the other colors they had ... glad you liked it....it is one of my favorites!!

Yes I love the slushies!!! I can't wait to get my hands on one in just a few weeks :cool1:

I love the picture of you and Jasmine in front of the fountain...very pretty!!

I can't wait for you to have one...let me know what day you're going to have it and I'll try and make one at home and we can have a drink "together"!!

Thanks hon:hug:

Awh those boat pictures are adorable! It's so cute how MM is fast asleeep.

Jeff and Jasmine make a really sweet couple. You can tell they really care about each other

I really love the picture of you and jasmine in the hotel room! And of course the one in front of the fountain. They are such great mother daughter shots. Most definitely frame-worthy :thumbsup2

You look SO happy with your GGS! It make me really crave one...even though it is only 10am here haha...

Wow! That's really great! Not something you see from your typical hotel window, now is it?

We were truly blessed and tried not to take anything for granted

So, did Jeff whack somebody with that umbrella? In this pic he looks like he's none too pleased that he has to carry it! Or is he just upset that SnowWhite (and Geodoc, surreptitiously) has stolen his 'thumbs up' trademarked pose?

He was really excited about dinner and was trying not to show it...he said he had to look cool and not nerdy

That is a great idea! I'm writing that one down as a 'thing to do' on our next trip!

So relaxing ... it's a favorite of ours!

Awww.....

:cutie: isn't she?

Nope! We already know what you want! :rotfl:

I knew you would;)

:lmao: It looks like you're hyperventilating, 'cause you're so excited!

Yup came through loud and clear didn't it!

:thumbsup2:lmao:

Cute pic of the two of you! :thumbsup2

Thanks!:goodvibes

So just how long was it, before the 'pro' had herself another one? Hmmmm???? ;)

I was pacing myself believe it or not....I only had one....wrong I know!

I'm gonna have to go with Le Cellier. Great update! Can't wait for more! :goodvibes

Ya think:confused3
It looks pretty clear that you're heading to Le Cellier. It's on our list too for our upcoming trip. I hear a rumor though that they no longer have the chocolate moose? I'm interested to hear what you all thought of it now that it's 2 credit for dinner. Nice pictures of the Boardwalk area. It's on our dream resort list as well, although dh and I both feel confident that AKL will be our ultimate resort forever.

That obvious? I am so happy it's on your list! The rumor is false...they absolutely have the chocolate moose!! I agree with you....AKL is it!!! It really felt like home and it actually took over SSR for me!!

Hey that's MY line!:lmao:

Yes it is...that's true;)

Love those Grey Goose Slushies! We didn't let a little thing like rain keep us from one on our last trip.

1195452429_BhHwz-M.jpg

Nothing keeps us from our GGS....thank you so much for sharing this picture ... I love it!!!

Oooh, that slushie looks delicious. Might have to pick one up when I'm in Epcot next time.
The picture of you and Jasmine at the fountain is wonderful! I suppose it's because I'm so close to my mother, but I always like it when mothers and daughters look like they are having such a great time at Disney together.

You absolutely need to grab one...I think you'd love it! There is nothing in this world like the bond between a mother and daughter...I feel blessed for the relationship that we have and I know you feel the same way about yours:hug:

I'm back from my trip, Queen, and I had to come over here and get all caught up!! Mmmm...GGS. It's been one week and two days since I had my last one. Obviously I'm in need of another by now:lmao:!

Heading to Le Cellier? I hope so, because as you'll read in my TR soon (yes, I started it already today!!:thumbsup2), my date night we had planned there did not go as planned and I'd love to read/see about it.

Hey girl!!! I am loving your TR btw!!! I'm in need of one now too....lottery, think lottery!!!

Oh no...this does not sound good? Was my homeland not good to you, do I need to call someone!!! cause I will!!! So happy you're home:hug:

:rotfl2: Were you going into withdrawal when your slushie was gone??? :rotfl2: Your face in that last picture is too funny. Your face says, "Ok, Ok, enough of this picture taking - I need another drink".

Great update. so much fun to read!

Yes...yes I was....I know you understand that:hug: I did need another one and they said no we have to go to dinner:confused3

I love that you noticed that, neither of us noticed that we were both wearing black and white...MM actually pointed it out on the boat:worship:

Thanks Mary Ellen:hug:

I know I've said this to you already, but I missed you and I am so happy you're home!!

Aww hon, I would do anything for you:hug: Always here for you whenever you need me:hug: Dana (racefanof88) said it best when she said some of the best friends she has she met here on the Dis and I completely agree with her:hug:

I'm so happy you are all caught up and I can't wait until you start yours!

I popped over because I wasn't sure if I was all caught up...it simply made me want a drink--rough day and Back to School Night tonight. Think the parents would like me more if I served GGSs? :lmao:

I think they'll like you regardless:hug:but a GGS makes everything better:lovestruc The weekend is almost here my girl...hang in there:hug:

She tried to tell us she wasn't tired and the next time I looked over that's what I saw:lmao:

You are right honey, they do really care and more importantly, they are very respectful to each other....I love that!! Thanks honey, I can't decide which one to frame though:confused3 I'll have to keep thinking!

It's five o'clock somewhere sweetie:lmao:

I love the picture of you with your GGS! You can tell you're definitely excited! Also love you and Jas sitting on the fountain-- what a great shot!

I'm back from our trip, and finally had a chance to get caught up on your TR.

It looks like your first few days were awesome for everyone, but yikes about the crazy woman at the airport.

How exciting it must have been to see how excited Jeff was to take in everything for the first time

You and Jas look gorgeous in the World Showcase pics, and I'm guessing it was Le Cellier for dinner?

Can't wait to find out:goodvibes

:woohoo::woohoo:You're back! How was it???popcorn::

Nothing like a crazy person at the airport to start your vacation off with a bang:lmao: Aww thanks hon and yes you are right...Le Cellier it was!! Going to post that update right now:hug:

So for all of you who said Le Cellier, you were right:cool1: We were so excited to get this reservation and since we were using the Tables in Wonderland card on this trip instead of the DDP we didn't care how much it cost for dinner:lmao: You gotta love 20% off food and alcholic bevies!! Our ADR was for 830pm and we arrived about 15 minutes before and checked in at the podium before entering the restaurant. Daniel helped us there and what a hoot he was! Very nice young man and so easy to carry on a conversation with! Once we were thru with that we headed down to the restaurant where there were a few other families waiting!
146-2.jpg

Here is MM, SW and Peg waiting to be called in for dinner! The girls were having a great time at the Kidcot spots as you can see! Before long, Daniel came into the restaurant and asked if anyone wanted to do some Canadian Trivia....didn't take him too long to figure out we were Canadian and told us we couldn't play that we were cheating:rotfl2: We were laughing as he was trying to come up with Canadian Trivia that wasn't on the sheet they normally work with! He asked everyone how Canada got it's name! No one had a clue, including my family, but I knew so I finally raised my hand and asked very politely if I could answer! Daniel said I could answer and my answer was right!! Jasmine turned to me and said "whoa mom, how did you know that???" Well, I paid attention in Canadian History I guess dear:lmao: Anyhoodle, it wasn't long before we were called into dinner! For those of you who don't know or have never been to Le Cellier, the dining room is separated into provinces just like Canada and we were seated in our home province of Manitoba:woohoo: We had a lovely young lady who looked after us and before long was off to get our beverages!
147-1.jpg

All set and ready for dinner, we were actually starving to death by this point!! Jasmine, Geodoc and SW ready for dinner
148-2.jpg

MM, Peg and moi ready too...my GGS went down a little too quickly and let's just say some bread right about now would be good!! I elected not to have another alcoholic beverage for dinner, just some sparkling water!
149-1.jpg

Jeff was super excited to eat here! All I kept thinking was that I hope we hadn't made too big of a deal about how awesome it was here and that he be disappointed...but it was thumbs up all the way!
150-2.jpg

I love this picture of the two of them....don't they look content, I think that's the best word for this picture!
153-2.jpg

Jeff and I ordered the same thing, pork tenderloin over corn polenta and greens....there are no words that would adequately describe how much Jeff and I loved this meal....he talked about it the entire trip! It was hands down the best meal I have ever had anywhere on property! Sorry, I forgot to take the picture before I started eating:rolleyes1
154-1.jpg

Jasmine's beer and cheddar soup...that's all she eats at Le Cellier and one of these trips I know she's going to order two bowls:lmao: She eats that and the pretzel bread and she is in seventh heaven.
155-2.jpg

I know there has been speculation that they no longer serve the chocolate moose here....well here's proof they do!!! Both SW and MM got this and they loved it once again!
156-2.jpg

Ok, now time for a funny story! Once we were all finished our meals, Jeff turned to me and said I'm still hungry! This boy can eat!! I called the server over and Jeff told her he would like an order of poutine...her eyes went as big as saucers and she said "I'm so sorry, but the kitchen is closed all I can get for you is dessert! Jeff is not a dessert eater so he just said "No problem I'll just grab a burger and fries when we get back to the resort:lmao:and he did!!

Now onto dessert... when you walk into the restaurant now you pass by the dessert table. Jasmine nudged me and said "my favorite cake isn't here". I thought she had lost her mind and didn't think a thing of it until it was time to order dessert! The girl went around the table and Jasmine was the last to order....she said "nothing for me thanks" and the girl said are you sure? Yup I'm sure, my favorite dessert isn't there and nothing else looks appealing to me! The server asked her what it was and she said it was now part of some trio (sorry I can't remember the name of it) and that you get a tiny piece along with two other things. Jasmine said no thank you and off the server went. Well, what did she come back with.....a whole piece of Jasmine's favorite cake...she had told the Chef about her conversation with Jasmine and that it was Jasmine's birthday (she told us not to tell on her and we didn't) and how nice it would be if she could have her cake. How could the Chef say no? Better still, she didn't charge Jasmine for her cake! Jeff was blown away by how out of her way this young lady went and then not to charge...we kept telling him it was the Disney Magic hard at work and that it would be around us for 2 weeks...get used to it!!
157-1.jpg

I order the lemon cheesecake...it was just ok....I really was very full and shouldn't have ordered anything, but I did:rolleyes1

Overall, we had such an enjoyable evening starting in France and ending in Canada! It was now time to head back to the resort because we had another very full day coming up again!!

We loved Le Cellier!! We had the poutine too but were all so full we couldn't finish it! :goodvibes
Sounds like you had a great evening!!

Debbie

Ok so how did Canada get it's name? You forgot to tell us :)

I love the Duffy's the girls were workin on. How cute!

I'm so glad you all had such a wonderful meal and how awesome of your server to give Jasmine extra magic :tinker:

Isn't it amazing how much these young guys can eat and still look so fit?!

Great meal at Le Cellier! Did you notice any difference now that it is 2 TS? (Other than I'm sure it's more expensive.) I love that the server brought Jasmine a slice of her favorite cake. I've always thought the servers in Le Cellier are some of the most thoughtful on property. I've always chalked it to the fact that they are Canadian;)
