Jacob's MAW trip to WDW!! April 20-27

So as much as I dont want to admit it, Jacob does not know a whole lot about disney characters. He knows a few, but because of his autism he doesnt really have the attention span to sit and watch a whole movie. He knows a lot of different characters from tv shows and short films...but not of the long movies. However, he LOOOOVES music! He will sit and do anything music involved for as long as it takes. So I had an idea. I am listening to the disney pandora station and so he will learn all the songs on there. And then I will get him to watch the disney movies and tell him to listen for the songs and that way he will watch the movie because he knows the songs are coming up! I am determined to get him to know exactly who every character is!

Angel has lots of Disney cds from movie soundtracks and park music, and she loves them. Since Jacob loves music so much, he might like the cd they have at the parks that has a bunch of the songs from the rides as a souvenir.

He'll recognize a lot of the characters even if he's not able to watch some of the full length movies.

Pixie dust just keeps happening all over the place for us! First of all, my husbands boss sent him a very nice letter saying how much they appreciate him and all he does...and he included a check with some money for us to use at disney from a few people there!! We were shocked because his company usually doesnt do much for their employees. But we were very surprised. He has worked there for 7 years and this is the first nice thing they have ever done for him!!

Then...we just got word that we are going to be able to extend our trip!! YAY!! So we are going April 20th-28th! That way we have 2 extra days to spread out our plans and we can take our time at the parks. We really wanted to go to the beach but it just was not in the cards...but now we can! YAY!

Now if the doc can get on board and hurry and fill out the medical forms we can book. She wants to book on Tuesday because thats the best day to book flights, apparently. So now I need advice on hotels!!

AHHHH so excited!!! We were chosen for the BIG GIVE!!! And when we got home from a morning out, we got 2 things in the mail!!!

The first one we got was an awesome letter!! It was from Zezee dis name- H2Omama! She got Jacob some accessories for his wheel chair!!! We are sooo excited!!! He was too!

The next one was from Christi dis name- angel'smomma and her family! They got all of us some awesome pins, the boys some activity books, some washcloths, a book, and some cars tissues!! Tyler was so excited for the book haha. He LOOOVES books!

Woohoo we had MORE Mickey Mail!!!

The first one was from Dianemom2. She made the kids mickey shirts! Such great idea for shirts and again the kids just loved them!! A great fit on the shirts too! Thanks Diane!!

The next one is from Just*the*ten*of*us and she made the kids such awesome epcot mickey shirts!! Thank you so much! They fit them perfect and the boys just loved them!! Thanks Claire!!

I also got the umbrella holder for Jakes wheelchair from the first mickey mail we got! YAY!! It is awesome and works great. I cant wait to use it!
